Desert Island Survival: A Hundredfold Improvement After Having a Baby?

Xu Zhixia's voice drifted over from downstream, "Don't you dare peek..."

Lin Fan quickly looked away. "Who was peeking?"

"You've already filled the bottle to overflowing, and you're still holding it down."

Lin Fan glanced at it; the bottle was indeed full.

This time, he turned his entire body upstream, with his back to Xu Zhixia, and all he could see were the stream and pebbles.

The fourth bottle was pressed into the water, and bubbles started to rise again; the fifth one…

Then his eyes darted away again.

Xu Zhixia pulled up her long-sleeved outer garment, wrung it out, and raised both arms above her head.

This pose brought the lines of her entire upper body to their maximum tension.

The soaked vest offered no respite from the sunlight, revealing a silhouette beneath the fabric even clearer than he remembered from his hand.

The waistline narrows upwards, then suddenly widens at the chest, followed by fair wrists and long legs that are faintly visible in the water.

Lin Fan's throat tightened.

He looked down at the water; there was something in it.

The red liquid dripped down, landing on the rim of the bottle, spreading out in a small circle on the water's surface, before being washed away by the stream.

Lin Fan was shocked. Could it be?

He raised his hand and wiped his nose; it really was his own nosebleed.

He paused for two seconds, then looked down at the color on his finger.

In my 24 years of life, I can count the number of times I've had a nosebleed on one hand. The last time was when I was in fifth grade and my deskmate hit my nose with his pencil case.

Today is different; no one is hitting him. It's purely a betrayal on a physiological level.

Lin Fan wiped the blood from his nose with the back of his hand, then glanced down at it furtively out of the corner of his eye.

Xu Zhixia draped her long sleeves over a rock on the bank and bent down to scoop water from the stream to wash her face.

She bent over quite far, and the hem of her vest flipped up from her waist, revealing a small patch of skin on her lower back.

Water droplets hung on it, refracting fragments of light.

Lin Fan pulled his gaze back and took a deep breath.

He is not Tang Sanzang.

At least Tang Sanzang was bound by Buddhist precepts and had Buddha watching over him from heaven.

He has nothing.

Moreover, he seriously suspected that even if Tang Sanzang were in his position, he would be unable to maintain his cultivation for ten lifetimes in the face of Xu Zhixia's actions.

From the moment this woman entered the woods, her series of actions were both sassy and sophisticated.

She was the one who loosened the buttons, she was the one who tripped, and she was the one who came up to say her legs were numb.

Now he's openly taking a bath downstream, saying he doesn't want people to watch, but his body language screams "look all you want."

Liu Feifei's seduction was like stuffing food into your mouth—it was so crude it made you want to vomit.

Xu Zhixia's approach is to display the dishes in a glass display case, with the lighting and location chosen, and then tell you to just look at the menu and not order.

Can you fucking resist ordering it?

Lin Fan felt more and more uneasy.

Xu Zhixia just said in the woods that her parents have been forcing her to sleep with Yang Ningcong.

She'd rather stay on the deserted island than go back and be a tool.

So why is she playing these tricks on me now?

The answer is obvious.

Superpowers.

After Su Qingxue became pregnant, she gained the ability to conjure objects out of thin air.

Xu Zhixia witnessed the entire incident.

If pregnancy can trigger superpowers, then Xu Zhixia might also gain some kind of superpower if she becomes pregnant with his child.

On this island where death can strike at any moment, superpowers are the strongest trump card for survival.

She is more rational than Su Qingxue and more sophisticated than Liu Feifei, so she won't make a direct statement like Liu Feifei did.

She used lukewarm water to boil the frog.

I'll test your limits little by little, and gradually shorten the distance between us.

Once you can't hold back anymore and take the initiative to move closer, she can still back down and say: "You started it."

Lin Fan wiped the blood from his nose again, leaving a red mark on the back of his hand.

Su Qingxue was only a little over a month pregnant when he turned around and went hunting with her best friend by the river.

If word gets out, Lin Fan will be a terrible person. Putting everything else aside, at the very least, we should wait until Su Qingxue's situation stabilizes before saying anything.

He reached out and tore off a leaf from the stream, rolled it into a strip, and stuffed it into his nostril, then lowered his head and continued to drink water.

This time he's not watching anymore, he really isn't going to watch anymore.

"what……"

Xu Zhixia's voice broke the silence of the valley.

Lin Fan threw away the bottle in his hand and turned his head away.

The scene downstream made his eyes widen in disbelief.

Xu Zhixia leaped out of the water, but before she could even stand on the pebbles, water splashed high into the air.

She had taken off her soaked vest at some point and was draped over the sand on the shore, leaving her in only a light-colored undershirt.

It was tightly wrapped in a damp cloth, revealing its shape completely.

Xu Zhixia rushed towards Lin Fan barefoot, stepping on the stones. She was very fast, unlike the person who had just said that her legs were numb.

She rushed to him in two strides and bumped into his arms.

Two soft mounds pressed against his chest through a thin layer of damp fabric, their warmth seeping through the fabric.

Lin Fan's body tensed instinctively, but before he could react, Xu Zhixia spoke.

"Lin Fan, there's blood in the water."

"It rushed down from upstream, Lin Fan, did you see it?"

The jumbled images in Lin Fan's mind vanished instantly.

"Lin Fan, do you think it's possible... that monster captured An An and skinned her alive here?"

"Lin Fan, what if that monster comes to eat me later? I'm scared..."

Xu Zhixia's breath hit his Adam's apple, carrying the coolness of the stream.

Seeing that Lin Fan didn't speak, she looked up at his face and her gaze suddenly stopped.

"Hey? What happened to your nose?"

Lin Fan's nostrils were still stuffed with a ball of leaves, the edges of which had been soaked in blood and turned dark red.

Xu Zhixia's eyes moved from the leaf branch to Lin Fan's eyes, and then back again.

"Could this blood be yours?"

After Xu Zhixia finished speaking, the leaf strip in Lin Fan's nostril was still dripping red, and the answer was self-evident.

She was still wet and less than half a step away from him. She raised her hand to touch his nose.

Lin Fan reacted quickly, taking a step back.

"Don't move."

Xu Zhixia's hand froze in mid-air.

Water was still dripping from her body, the stones under her feet were wet, and she was not standing steadily.

Lin Fan reached out and pushed her on the shoulder, shoving her halfway toward the shore.

"Dr. Xu, please put your clothes on first."

Xu Zhixia was pushed back two steps, her lower back hitting a rock. She braced herself with her elbow to steady herself. "What's wrong?"
