To be honest...

Smith's actions were actually somewhat risky.

After all, they haven't even obtained the copyright yet, but they're already performing openly.

At its worst, this is disrespectful to creators.

To put it bluntly, this is outright copyright infringement!

It would be better if this show didn't become popular.

If it becomes popular...

The path to negotiating copyright will be very difficult.

After all, if the original author sees that the show becomes popular, they might demand an exorbitant sum of money.

That's perfectly normal.

However, Smith and the theater manager really loved the play.

Even if Jiang Ye takes a huge advantage of me.

They accepted it.

As long as more people can see this show, that's fine.

……

soon.

The performance begins.

An actress dressed as a man appeared on stage.

This actress is none other than "Zhu Yingtai".

This "foreign Zhu Yingtai," dressed in authentic Hanfu from the Xia Dynasty, looked completely out of place at the Royal Theater.

The audience at the scene was also completely bewildered.

What happened?

Why is the main character of this play wearing Eastern clothing?

Could this be a story from the East?

This was the first time audiences had seen an Eastern-themed story at the Royal Theatre.

……

soon.

The performance has begun.

Initially, the British audience was not very interested.

After all, for British audiences, "The Butterfly Lovers" is an entirely foreign story.

British locals don't connect with the story enough, so naturally they're not very interested.

Therefore, many British audience members were not fully engaged in the performance.

Some people even started playing on their phones and eating snacks.

Laughter could be heard from time to time inside the theater.

……

However, when the performance was one-third complete,

The atmosphere at the scene changed.

The previous laughter and chatter had disappeared.

People who used to play on their phones are gradually putting them down.

Everyone's eyes were fixed on the big screen.

Staring intently at the stage!

The audience was captivated by this Eastern story.

……

When the audience saw Zhu Yingtai concealing her identity and interacting with Liang Shanbo, they burst into laughter.

When the audience saw Zhu Yingtai giving hints multiple times, but Liang Shanbo remained oblivious, they were so anxious they scratched their heads in frustration.

When the audience saw the two reveal their identities, they breathed a sigh of relief and wore excited smiles.

When the audience saw that the Zhu family did not approve of the two being together, they frowned frequently, their faces filled with worry.

……

Smith and others backstage observed the audience's reactions.

A smile finally appeared on his face.

The huge weight that had been hanging over my heart has finally been lifted!

call……

It seems that British audiences also really enjoyed this story.

……

The performance was nearing its end.

Liang Shanbo died of illness, and Zhu Yingtai was forced to marry.

At this moment.

There wasn't a single sound of noise to be heard at the scene.

Nearly two thousand audience members were silently wiping away their tears, and sobs could be heard from time to time.

Seeing this, Smith nodded repeatedly.

The person in charge was all smiles!

This drama has truly won over the audience!

All the effort the director and actors put in for six hours to quickly revise the script and memorize their lines was worthwhile!!

……

The performance ended with Zhu Yingtai jumping into Liang Shanbo's tomb, and the two transforming into butterflies and flying away.

Even after the performance ended, the audience lingered, reluctant to leave.

Soon, someone started clapping.

This applause acted as a fuse, immediately igniting the enthusiasm of everyone in the theater.

Applause erupted one after another.

The more than two thousand people in the theater applauded excitedly, and some even cheered continuously!

The applause lasted for two or three minutes.

The actors on stage were also somewhat flattered.

This was the first time they had received such applause after performing for so long.

……

After the performance.

The backstage area of the Royal Theatre was almost bursting with media.

The question reporters asked most often was where the inspiration for this story came from.

After all, "The Butterfly Lovers" is a native Eastern story.

The clothing, culture, and etiquette in the story are not native to Britain.

So, not only the reporters, but everyone was curious about where this story came from.

……

Smith spoke candidly about it when facing the media cameras.

"I'm sorry, everyone."

"This is not my original story."

"The content of my script comes from 'The Butterfly Lovers' written by an eighteen-year-old boy from Daxia."

"That boy's name is Jiang Ye. He is the most gifted, talented, and brilliant young genius I have ever seen."

"In terms of literary attainments, probably no literary giant throughout history has reached his level and achievements at his age."

"We haven't acquired the rights to this story yet. But rest assured, the Royal Theatre will obtain the rights within the next few days and will strive to have this story performed in all theatres throughout the UK!!"

……

After Smith gave his speech,

That night,

British social media exploded!!

Someone filmed this scene from "The Butterfly Lovers" and posted it online.

In no time, netizens across the UK were captivated by this poignant love story.

It was just a blurry video.

It garnered over 30 million views on British social media.

Countless British netizens have posted online after watching "The Butterfly Lovers"!

……

Oh God! I swear, this is the most poignant and purest love I've ever seen!

Yes, I've watched it twice already, but every time I think about it, I can't help but cry.

[Who would have thought that the East could also have such a moving love story! This is a tragic love story worth savoring repeatedly!]

I heard the author of this novel is only eighteen years old!! What a genius!

Eighteen years old?! My God! Is this real? Someone can actually write a novel like this at eighteen?!

I just searched for Jiang Ye on DaXia's website. This guy's condition is very bad; he was in a car accident and is currently in a coma, his fate unknown!

[Oh my god! What a pity! Such a talented young man, how could he suffer such a tragedy? Heaven is jealous of talent!]

I swear, this is truly the most heartbreaking tragic love story I've ever read! It rivals even Hamlet!

……

Not only that.

The story of "The Butterfly Lovers" also caused quite a stir in mainstream British culture.

Some British literary figures even took the initiative to translate Jiang Ye's "The Butterfly Lovers" into English.

Hundreds of British scholars, wearing reading glasses, gathered overnight to study the novel.

These scholars were all amazed after watching "The Butterfly Lovers"!

Because Jiang Ye's novel is simply a classic!

Moreover, this authority is all-encompassing.

First of all, their emotional side is absolutely amazing.

This is an extremely poignant love story; even these elderly British scholars couldn't help but shed tears upon reading it.

Secondly, Jiang Ye's novel vividly and accurately recreates the clothing, etiquette, and culture of Han Chinese men and women during the Wei, Jin, and Northern and Southern Dynasties!

This is invaluable material for foreign researchers and those seeking to understand the history of the Great Xia Dynasty.

At last.

The core message of Jiang Ye's novel has astonished British scholars.

This is an article that rebels against feudal ethics and class injustice.

……

Actually, it's not just Daxia.

It's pretty much the same all over the world.

Class divisions in Britain have become more rigid.

Therefore, this novel is undoubtedly a thunderbolt!

This will shake the entire English Empire to its core!

These old scholars genuinely didn't believe it.

This article was actually written by a child who just turned eighteen?!

God!

What exactly did he go through?

How can one write an article like this?
