I possess boundless talent; even geniuses are no match for me.

......

The fighter jets are very fast and can easily break through Mach 3, but it requires academic credits, so ordinary Wuhan University students rarely ride them.

They carry out missions for academic credits, but a mission doesn't earn many credits anyway, and the money they earn from a round trip is less than the money they spend.

In just about ten minutes, the fighter jets crossed dozens of cities and arrived at a desolate mountain forest.

The fighter jet hovered steadily at an altitude of tens of meters as the cabin door slowly opened.

Chen Yu stepped out of the cabin and his body plummeted straight into the dense jungle below.

boom--!

Just before landing, the abundant vital energy was released and then withdrawn, effectively slowing down the impact.

"The mission notes said that the criminals escaped into this area; looks like we'll have to spend some time searching for them!"

Taking off his backpack, Chen Yu took out an infrared detector and put it on his glasses, while also donning his full gear.

Anticipating that the mission would require finding someone, he naturally made preparations.

This equipment is very cheap, costing only about three credits, but the main reason is that credits have a strong purchasing power.

Although the official description states that one credit can be exchanged for 10,000 Crimson Coins, the actual experience is far more complex.

Once everything was ready, Chen Yu prepared to set off to search deep into the mountains and forests.

Swish!

Just then, a whooshing sound rang out in the sky, and a blue fighter jet landed steadily above Chen Yu's head.

Immediately afterwards, three fully equipped figures jumped out of the fighter jet.

After the three of them jumped down, they were also stunned when they saw Chen Yu, who was also fully equipped.

Then, the leader of the three spoke first: "My name is Lin Luo, a freshman at Shanhe Martial Arts University. Brother, are you also here for a mission?"

"Hmm." Chen Yu nodded slightly.

Lin Luo smiled and then invited, "Would you like to join our team?"

"The mission briefing also mentioned that this group of criminals is extremely vicious and possesses a lot of firearms. You probably can't handle them alone and you'll likely suffer losses."

"As for the reward credits, how about we distribute them according to the size of the contribution?"

However, Chen Yu shook his head: "Sorry, I prefer to act alone."

"As for danger... I'm from Huaying Martial Arts University."

He didn't explain much.

Because all that's needed is the name of Hua Yingwu University, and others will understand what he means.

At least on Crimson Star, the reputation of the three prestigious universities is still very useful.

After saying that, Chen Yu's figure disappeared into the dense forest.

"Huaying Martial Arts University..." Lin Luo squinted and murmured softly.

His teammate next to him curled his lip and said with dissatisfaction, "So what if he's from Huaying Martial Arts University? What's he so arrogant about!"

"With Boss Luo's strength, he's also qualified to enter Huaying Martial Arts University!"

"Stop talking." Lin Luo shook his head, stopping his teammate from continuing.

His cultivation level was at the seventh level of Body Tempering, which did qualify him to be admitted to Huaying Martial Arts University. However, once inside, he was just a bottom-of-the-barrel student and couldn't even get the lowest-paying contract.

This is why he gave up the three prestigious universities and instead joined Shanhe Martial Arts University.

At Shanhe Martial Arts University, he was the rookie king of this year and could even get an S-level contract.

Better to be the head of a chicken than the tail of a phoenix!

He's no worse than the students from the top three universities!

Lin Luo had always thought so.

However, when he encountered students from Huaying University this time, he unconsciously felt inferior to them, which made him very uncomfortable.

"Let's go. This mission is to hone our individual skills before the Wuhan University freshman exchange competition."

"But don't let your guard down. These criminals have firearms. Be careful not to get caught off guard."

After Lin Luo finished speaking, he took the lead and disappeared into the forest.

Seeing this, the other two teammates followed without hesitation.

After the three left, Chen Yu's figure emerged from the other side, following closely behind them!

Searching for mission targets in this desolate mountain forest, how can he be as efficient as three people?

So it's better to just follow these three.

At the same time, this also prevents the other party from arriving at the target first and completing the task before him.

Don't forget, Chen Yu's goal this time is the Thousand Illusion Clan. If the Thousand Illusion Clan is killed by the three from Shanhe Martial Arts University, he will suffer a huge loss.

......

Lin Luo and his two companions searched in a fan-shaped pattern and soon ventured deep into the mountains and forests.

"Boss Luo, there are several humanoid heat sources!"

Suddenly, Lin Luo heard his teammates' excited voices.

"Be careful, take them down in one go!" Lin Luo thought with delight.

If he could complete the task first, he could hold his head high in front of the students from Huayingwu University.

So what if Huaying Martial Arts University is so great? In the end, the mission was still completed by these people from Shanhe Martial Arts University.

The next moment, the three of them quietly approached the heat source at the same time.

When they were only twenty or thirty meters apart, Lin Luo suddenly attacked with his knife, and two teammates surrounded him from two other directions.

However, when Lin Luo got really close to the heat source, his pupils suddenly contracted.

The heat source isn't the mission objective; it's just a few decoys!

"We've fallen for their trap!!!"

Bang!

Gunshots rang out, and Lin Luo leaped to the side. A bullet grazed his upper arm, leaving a trail of blood.

Bang!Bang!Bang!

Gunshots suddenly rang out from several directions, forcing Lin Luo to sprint through the forest.

"Boss Luo, I've been shot in the left arm." A teammate's panicked voice came from beside him.

"Hold on, I'll go take care of them!" Lin Luo hurriedly said.

For a martial artist in the Body Tempering Realm, as long as it doesn't hit a vital spot, the impact will be minimal in the short term.

But they couldn't withstand being targeted and shot at by several guns!

The three of them were completely surrounded by the enemy; no matter where they hid, they would be hit.

"There's no other way, I have to rely on myself!"

Lin Luo gritted his teeth and prepared to take down the criminals despite the threat of firearms.

With his abilities, achieving this wouldn't be difficult, but it would certainly come at a price.

It could even affect the upcoming exchange competition for freshmen at Wuhan University.

But there's no way to change it now.

However, just as Lin Luo had no choice but to take action, he suddenly noticed that the frequency of the gunshots around him had decreased.

Bang!

With the final gunshot, the surroundings suddenly fell silent.

"What happened?"

Lin Luo felt no sense of relief; instead, her nerves tensed up.

"Boss Luo, there's a master! Such a fast knife..." A teammate's exclamation rang out through the communicator, then abruptly stopped.

"What? There's a master among these criminals!" Lin Luo said in a chilling voice.

"What's going on over there? Explain it to me quickly."

However, after waiting for several seconds, his teammates on the communicator seemed to have gone silent, without making a sound.

"This is bad!" Lin Luo's face darkened, knowing that his two teammates were most likely in grave danger.

The mission information was incorrect. This group of criminals was not just armed with firearms; there were also martial arts masters among them.

Swish!

A dark figure suddenly leaped out of the forest.

"I've been waiting for you for so long!"

Lin Luo's pupils suddenly shrank to needle size, and he prepared to slash at the approaching figure.

when!

The two swords clashed instantly, sparking a series of sparks.

Bang!

A terrifying force traveled along the blade, causing Lin Luo's battle sword to slip from his hand. He was sent flying backward, crashing into a thick wooden stake.

"It's you!!!"

He looked up abruptly, incredulous.
