The plaza below.

Those fifteen Class A units finally moved.

They didn't rush in all at once, but dispersed in an organized manner.

Three people flanked from the left, three from the right, two circled around to the monster's rear, and the remaining seven charged at it from the front.

The leader, an A-level member, was a boy with a buzz cut named Zhu Peng, Jiang Ning's confidant. He held a machete in his hand, the blade reflecting a dazzling white light in the sunlight.

He rushed to within about ten meters of the monster, stopped, raised his machete, and roared, "Attack!"

Seven people attacked at the same time.

Zhu Peng's machete struck the monster's hind leg, the blade scraping against the armor plates with a piercing screeching sound, leaving a shallow white mark.

Another boy's fire hammer struck the monster's back, the hammerhead hitting the armor plates with a dull "thud." The monster didn't budge, but his arm went numb from the recoil.

The third boy fared even worse. He stabbed the monster in the abdomen with a steel pipe. The pipe bent when it hit the armor plate, and his hand was shattered from the impact, with blood flowing down the pipe.

The attack from fifteen A-level enemies was roughly equivalent to being bitten by a mosquito for Lizard Head.

No, at least a mosquito bite will itch.

These attacks don't even cause an itch.

The lizard head didn't even pay attention to the people tapping and banging on it; all its attention remained on Jiang Ning.

The human that can truly harm it.

"What are you waiting for? Go up and fight! Don't be afraid, this thing isn't very intelligent, it will only chase after people who can hurt it. You guys go up and distract it so I can fire a few more arrows."

Jiang Ning's voice came from the center of the square. He shouted these words in the gap between dodging the monster's attack, without even panting, and still looked completely at ease.

The group of people who had previously only dared to throw stones from a distance around the square began to stir.

For those with talents at the C or D level, who can't even get 1 point, they don't want to let go of an opportunity to get a lot of points, especially with Jiang Ning supporting them.

"Students, fortune favors the bold; let's kill the lizard's head."

A boy in a camouflage jacket stood up from the side of the street, holding a steel pipe in his hand, and was the first to rush towards the center of the square.

When someone takes the lead, others will follow.

The second, the third, the fourth...

More and more people came out from the streets around the square, carrying all sorts of weapons: kitchen knives, steel pipes, wooden sticks, wrenches, and some even carried iron shelves taken from supermarket shelves.

They surged toward the giant beast in the center of the square like a tidal wave.

It's less about having courage and more about having a gambler's mentality.

More than thirty people surrounded the lizard-headed monster from all directions, slamming steel pipes against its armor plates, chopping at its tail with kitchen knives, stabbing its abdomen with wooden sticks, and slapping its back with iron plates...

The clanging sounds rang out in unison, like a shoddy blacksmith shop starting work at the same time.

But none of their attacks could actually hurt the lizard's head.

The steel pipe was bent, the kitchen knife was chipped, the wooden stick was broken, and the iron shelf was deformed.

There wasn't even a decent scratch left on the monster's gray-black armor plates; only the wounds from Jiang Ning's short arrows were still oozing black liquid.

The lizard head was finally enraged.

It wasn't because of the pain; these ant-like attacks didn't even feel like an itch to it.

It's because I'm annoyed.

It's like being surrounded by a swarm of mosquitoes buzzing around you. Even though they don't hurt you, you still want to slap them all to death.

The lizard-headed creature stopped chasing Jiang Ning, its scarlet vertical pupils turning towards the people banging and tapping around it.

Its tail suddenly swept out.

“Pah!”

Its thick tail, over two meters long, resembled a whip, drawing an arc in the air and sweeping across the crowd behind it.

Three boys who were tapping it near its tail were caught red-handed.

Their bodies flew out like rag dolls, flying seven or eight meters before crashing heavily to the ground and rolling several times before coming to a stop.

One of them landed on the granite paving stones, headfirst, with a dull thud, and then remained still.

Another person fell into the rubble, clutching their leg and screaming in pain. Their lower leg was bent at an abnormal angle, and the bone was broken.

The third one was a bit luckier; he landed on the wreckage of a scrapped car. Although he was covered in blood, he could still move and struggled to climb off the roof, limping as he ran backward.

Holy crap!

"Run!"

"This thing is too powerful!"

The crowd erupted instantly.

Those who were just charging forward now all turned and ran, leaving steel pipes, kitchen knives, and wooden sticks scattered all over the ground.

But the lizard-headed creature wasn't going to let them go.

It strides forward on its four strong legs and charges toward the densest part of the crowd.

Each step shook the ground, the granite tiles shattered under its claws, and rubble flew everywhere.

A slow-running girl was caught up from behind by it, and just as the huge claws were about to strike her back, Zhao Hai intervened.

His body reacted faster than his brain.

A silvery-gray metallic sheen spread from his fingertips to his forearm. He slammed his right leg into the ground, propelling himself like a cannonball towards the monster's side.

"boom--!"

The iron fist, with three times the force, slammed solidly into the lizard-headed monster's left ribs. The recoil traveled from the fist back to his arm, making his entire right arm go numb.

But the effect is obvious.

The lizard-headed monster was knocked off balance by the punch, its massive body tilting to the right, its four claws leaving four white scratches on the ground before it managed to regain its footing.

It gave up chasing the girl and turned its scarlet vertical pupils toward Zhao Hai.

The girl scrambled away without looking back, and didn't even say thank you.

Zhao Hai didn't pay any attention.

He immediately retreated, creating distance between himself and the lizard-headed creature. His agility was only 4 points, far too much for the monster's speed; once he was caught, it would be difficult to escape.

The lizard head tilted its head, its scarlet vertical pupils staring at Zhao Hai's metallic fists, as if reassessing the danger level of the prey before it.

It didn't pounce immediately.

Zhao Hai didn't move either.

The man and the beast faced off, and the air in the square seemed to freeze.

Just then, Zhao Hai caught Jiang Ning's movement out of the corner of his eye.

Jiang Ning did not continue firing.

He stood at the edge of the square, his crossbow already put away, and in his right hand he held something that looked like a Rubik's Cube, entirely silver-white, with a blue glowing symbol on each of its six faces.

Jiang Ning held the Rubik's Cube up to her eyes, a slight smile curving her lips.

Then Jiang Ning made a gesture that only people in his team could understand.

Those fifteen A-levels reacted as quickly as if they had rehearsed countless times.

Zhu Peng was the first to retreat, his machete tucked away at his side. His steps were quick yet orderly, and he retreated thirty meters in ten seconds.

The other Class A members also dispersed at an equally astonishing speed, some going east, some west, some south, and some north, like dandelions scattered by the wind.

Their retreat was planned in advance; each person had their own route, so they wouldn't obstruct each other or affect Jiang Ning's next move.

After Jiang Ning saw that his men had all retreated to a safe distance, he threw the Rubik's Cube out of his hand.

The silver-white Rubik's Cube traced an arc in the air, landing in the center of the square and hovering about three meters above the ground.

The blue symbols on all six faces of the Rubik's Cube lit up simultaneously, their brightness increasing from faint to blinding.

"Buzz—!"

A deep humming sound emanated from the center of the Rubik's Cube. The sound was not like the sound of a machine operating, but more like the resonance of some kind of energy field being activated.

Blue light poured out of the Rubik's Cube, like an inverted bowl, and quickly spread outwards.

Wherever the light passed, the air seemed to materialize, rippling with blue light.

Zhao Hai felt an invisible force pressing down from all directions, as if a giant hand was pushing him in a certain direction, or as if space itself was twisting, folding, and recombining.

He instinctively wanted to escape, but it was too late.

The blue light curtain closed three meters in front of him, forming a cube-shaped barrier with sides approximately fifty meters long.

The barrier wall is a translucent blue, like a wall made of blue glass, but not as fragile as glass.
