"Really? Then it must have been found. Let's continue the investigation. As it stands, there don't seem to be any traces left at the scene. Perhaps the outsiders have already left."

"This makes the investigation very troublesome."

The group then asked Hank and Cameron, who also said they hadn't heard anything, and the investigation had to be dropped.

Chen An watched several police cars leave from the window and breathed a sigh of relief.

1 o'clock noon.

Carl returned, carrying the fast food he had bought. "Boss, it's all cleaned up. The two of them are keeping Richard company. Pikachu has been modified and its appearance is completely different from before."

Chen An nodded. "Thank you for your hard work. The police just arrived. If we had been any slower, we might have been finished."

"That's really lucky."

Then, Chen An called Hank over, and the four of them ate lunch together.

"Karl, how do you think we can maximize the advantages of this smuggling route and list?"

Upon hearing Chen An's question, Carl pondered for a moment before quickly replying, "It's simple. We can use this to threaten the Creek family and extract a decent reward, but that will also completely ignite their anger."

Upon hearing this, Chen An laughed: "As if kidnapping Creek wouldn't anger him."

Hank remained silent, knowing that this was none of his business and that he only needed to handle logistics.

“That makes sense,” Carl said. “Let’s rip them off. They’re smuggling, they have tons of dollars, they’re not afraid of being investigated.”

"When the time comes, I'll either get the money and buy equipment, or escape to another state and hide for a while."

"You know we still owe Black Wolf $100,000, and the later we pay it back, the higher the interest will be."

Chen An nodded; what Karl said made sense.

Before we knew it, it was five o'clock.

Anton and his group returned safely. Except for a few individuals, the rest of the assassins had all been equipped with the "lightning speed" attribute and had made their way back. Fortunately, the dock wasn't far away.

"Sir, this is today's pay."

Chen An looked at it and saw that the US dollar bills were much thicker than before. He took them and counted them, and the amount surprised him.

The total was $5500, which means each assassin earned as much as $289. Choosing piecework was definitely the right decision.

A daily income of $5500 is comparable to that of a segment of the middle class in Los Angeles.

Having received the money, Chen An naturally couldn't resist starting to participate in the lottery. He drew the low-level lottery ten times and the mid-level lottery twice, keeping $2500.

The lottery draw was completed quickly.

Three green entries appeared in total; unfortunately, no blue entries appeared this time.

These three terms are:

[Sniper Mastery]: After being equipped, you will be able to master the use of all sniper rifles, achieving accurate hits on stationary targets and a 90% probability of hitting moving targets within the effective range, with a 10% probability of deviating from the intended target!

[Tactical Mastery]: After being equipped, you will have extraordinary tactical command abilities, enabling you to effectively guide your squad.

[Visual Proficiency]: After the inlay, your vision will be greatly improved, allowing you to see farther and more clearly!

Looking at the three terms, Chen An could say that each had its own merits, especially [Visual Mastery], which was an upgraded version of [Visual Focus] and was even stronger.

It can exert a greater advantage when paired with a sniper rifle.

It seems I need to get a sniper rifle. I wonder if Black Wolf has any. Chen An thought to himself.

The day passed quickly, and there were only two days left before the operation.

In the early morning, Chen An's biological clock instinctively woke him up.

"System, deploy today's six assassins."

[Ding! Dispensing complete.]

Chen An smiled. The number of assassins was increasing every day, and the wages at the dock were a stable income, which would only increase in the future.

"Good morning, boss."

Carl, as usual, got up earlier than him and sat on the living room sofa, eating a sandwich, while Emily sat beside him.

"What are you wearing around your neck?" Chen An noticed that Karl was wearing a necklace around his neck, which he hadn't been wearing before.

Upon hearing this, Karl reached out and revealed the necklace, a silver piece with a bullet hanging from it. "This is my lucky necklace. It protects me. I've worn it for seven years. This mission is quite dangerous, so I wore it."

"Really? Do you have any more for me?" Chen An thought it looked pretty good.

"No, boss, if you want some, you can go to the flea market, they have them there."

Chen An waved his hand, "Never mind then, business is more important."

"By the way, Black Wolf wants to see us. We bought too much stuff this time, so we need to discuss it and also settle the loan issue."

"Where is he?" Chen An asked.

"His secret base is located in the southernmost part of Los Angeles, next to one of the safest places in Orange County, California."

"Then lead the way, let's go."

Chen An finished his sandwich and milk in three bites, then got up to grab his coat and pistol. Karl nodded, understanding that his boss was going in person.

This time, he brought three people: Carl, Emily, and Anton, with An Xing in charge of leading the assassins to the docks.

Soon, the group got into the pickup truck. Anxing was in charge of driving. With the [Master of Driving] skill set, Anxing drove even better than Karl.

For several hours, led by Carl, they continued driving south. The high-rise buildings that had been visible before had disappeared, replaced by rows of dilapidated houses. If Southland City was on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, this place was truly barren.

Carl then led them to a bar and stopped.

"Black Wolf is waiting for us inside," Karl said.

Then everyone went into the bar. The space inside was not large and there were few customers, but Karl did not linger and led them to the second floor of the bar.

When they arrived, they were stopped by the two men and a body search was conducted.

"Boss, we need to hand over the gun," Karl said.

Chen An nodded upon hearing this. After the four men handed over their guns and confirmed that there were no problems, the two men led them to an office.

"Boss, the person is here."

"Let them in," came the Black Wolf's voice.

Upon hearing this, Carl opened the door and walked in, jokingly saying, "Black Wolf, things haven't been going well lately. You actually opened a bar in this place. Aren't you afraid it will go bankrupt?"

Chen An and the others also entered, and the door was closed.

Black Wolf was sitting in a chair, his eyes scanning the group, especially Chen An, whom he scrutinized the longest.

"You're Karl's boss, you look like a little kid."

Chen An stepped forward with a smile, "Hello Black Wolf, let me introduce myself. My name is Chen An, and I come from China."

"Code name Black Wolf, a low-key arms dealer."

Black Wolf then began to introduce himself.

"I heard you want to borrow money from me to buy equipment. Can you afford to pay back $100,000?"

"Isn't Karl here? Are you afraid we can't pay back?"

Black Wolf chuckled. "Karl's reputation with me is already ruined."
