Start in America, and receive three assassins every day.
Chapter 16 Karl
"It seems you've taken care of that hyena guy. You're quite formidable for doing it in such a short time."
"Carl, who was in the lead, said with a smile on his face, seemingly unconcerned about the hyenas' defeat."
He began to sized up Chen An and the others, "I didn't expect him to be Asian, that's quite a surprise."
Cameron then began to introduce, "Boss, this is Karl, the leader of the Wild Wolf Camp."
"They're different from the hyena camp; they're fewer in number, but they're all young and quite capable. I heard Karl is a retired SEAL, so he's not on the same level as the hyenas."
Upon hearing this, Chen An looked surprised.
Navy SEALs, these kinds of people are all homeless?
Is this some kind of outrageous nonsense?!
"Not speaking saves us trouble, since we were planning to deal with the hyenas anyway. This area is now our Wild Wolf Camp's territory. If you want to join us, you can only be between 16 and 30 years old. No poisonous insects, no cripples!" Karl said.
Cameron's expression darkened upon hearing this.
The Wild Wolf Camp offers great benefits; you don't have to hand over US dollars and you'll receive protection. However, the requirements for joining are too stringent, and most people can't meet them.
Upon hearing this, Chen An laughed.
So what if they're Navy SEALs? They're no match for him even without guns. I've already observed them; none of them are carrying any firearms.
That makes sense; if they're all homeless, where would they get the money to buy guns?
"Karl, you're pretty good. Join our Graffiti Building, or get out of this area!"
Upon hearing this, Karl laughed and said, "What a boastful statement. With your numbers, you'd probably be panting after just a few steps."
"Take care of them as I've taught you," Karl commanded coldly.
The dozens of people behind him nodded and marched in unison toward Chen An. Their weapons were no longer clubs, but sharp knives. They were far more ruthless than the hyenas.
With such combat power, Cameron and his men would be useless even if they went up against him, so he directly sent Anton forward.
Anton strode over, holding the metal baseball bat he had snatched from the hyena.
Although the other side was trained, they were still hesitant to use their weapons. After all, they had thought about taking over the territory, but they had never killed anyone.
Seeing this, Karl's face turned cold. "Coward! Mercy to the enemy is cruelty to yourself!"
Anton, however, did not have this burden. He walked steadily and gradually approached. Upon seeing this, the man quickly swung the kitchen knife in his hand, and the move showed signs of practice.
But Anton knocked him away with a single blow, then kicked him in the abdomen, instantly rendering him unable to move.
Upon seeing this from a distance, Karl's pupils contracted. As a former soldier, he could tell at a glance that Anton's every move was not simple. Could the other party be like him?
"what!"
The rest of the scene was similar; the armed assassins, coupled with their combat proficiency, made them even stronger, even though the people in the Wild Wolf Camp were all elites.
However, it still lags behind Anton.
Karl's composure vanished, replaced by a bead of cold sweat on his forehead. He had reason to suspect that these men were soldiers disguised as homeless people carrying out a secret mission.
"Karl, you're the only one left," Chen An said.
Upon hearing this, Carl showed no fear on his face. He clenched his fists and assumed a boxer's stance, seemingly intending to fight to the bitter end.
Anton and his group gradually approached and soon engaged in a fierce fight, their blows landing squarely on the ground.
Chen An was quite surprised to see this scene. He did not expect Karl to be so brave in battle. He was able to fight against three assassins for so long and only had minor injuries on his face.
"call!"
"call!"
"call!"
Karl was clearly running out of energy. Looking at Anton and the others who were still standing around him, he knew he couldn't defeat them.
A minute later, he collapsed to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth and bruises all over his body.
Seeing this, Chen An came closer.
"Whether you submit or not, this place will be Graffiti Building's territory from now on."
Carl chuckled. "This place is yours now. I'll leave and won't bother you again."
"You're quite capable, and I value your potential. How about you come with me?" Chen An extended the invitation again.
The other party is a member of special operations; his joining might bring unexpected gains.
Upon hearing this, Carl shook his head. "Join you and then what? Pick up scraps? I have my own things to do."
"I can help you. Like I said, I admire you."
Carl slowly stood up, gently brushed the dust off his clothes, and looked at Chen An. "You can't help me. Do you dare to kill someone, especially a colonel?"
Upon hearing this, Chen An's expression flashed with slight surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. "Give me a reason?"
Now it was Karl's turn to be shocked. The other party didn't refuse outright. Did he think he could lay a hand on someone like that?
But somehow, he still revealed his reason: "He betrayed us, killed the entire squad and my partner, all for a ridiculous ten thousand dollars!"
"For $10,000, he actually sold the entire operation plan to someone else! Afterwards, he kicked me out on trumped-up charges, and nobody cared!"
As he spoke, Karl practically roared as he finished.
Chen An thought to himself, "This is so American."
However, the taste of betrayal is indeed unpleasant.
"Karl, I understand how you feel right now. I came to America with my own hatred."
"I can't guarantee I can definitely help you, but once you join, I'll definitely step in to help you when I have the ability. It'll be much better than you doing it alone."
"If you believe me, you can join; if you don't, I won't stop you, you can leave now."
Chen An finished speaking calmly.
Upon hearing this, Karl froze, his mind racing with thoughts.
This person is no ordinary man to be able to command such a force. He has experienced the strength of Anton and his men firsthand, and they are no less capable than ordinary soldiers.
With nowhere else to go, perhaps joining them would offer a sliver of hope, Karl thought, and nodded in agreement.
"Okay! I agree. You Asians really are as eloquent as rumored. Congratulations on successfully persuading me."
Carl extended his hand.
Seeing this, Chen An smiled and extended his hand to shake hands with the other person.
"Alright, now we're all family, there's no need to fight to the death anymore," Chen An said loudly to everyone.
"It's the same as before: as long as you pay the $6 protection fee, you have free time!"
"Cameron, take a headcount. Don't count the drug addicts, but record everyone else. You'll be in charge of managing these people from now on, and you'll charge them $6 each."
Upon hearing this, Cameron suppressed his excitement and quickly nodded with a smile, agreeing, "No problem, boss, leave it to me!"
Afterwards, Chen An and the others got into Carl's pickup truck, which drove Anton and the others towards the Graffiti Building.
