Beachcombing: The beach is full of amazing seafood, but my wife won't let me get out of bed!

The night was quiet.

Wu Suizheng was dreaming of climbing a mountain peak, straining his hands.

A violent tremor came from beside the pillow.

He impatiently pulled his hand away, grabbed his phone, and pressed the answer button.

"Second brother, hurry up, let's go out."

Wu Gang's loud voice came from the other end of the phone, making Wu Sui's eardrums hurt.

Wu Sui glanced at the time on his phone screen; it was just past midnight, and there was still at least an hour before the tide went out.

"Brother, the tide hasn't gone out yet, what's the rush?"

Wu Sui lowered his voice, his tone clearly showing his morning grumpiness.

"How can we not be anxious? The villagers have almost trampled the mudflats flat. Hurry up and come out. We'll be waiting for you at the village entrance."

Chen Xue was awakened by the noise. She rolled over, rubbed her eyes, and sat up. "What's wrong? Who called?"

I watched as he picked up the bucket and shovel, pushed open the door, and went out.

The village road was dark, but the sounds of hurried footsteps and voices could be faintly heard.

As I approached the village entrance, I could see two dark figures standing there from a great distance.

Not only was Wu Gang there, but his sister-in-law Wang Feng also came along.

Wu Sui looked around. The place had been swept clean. Even with the system, all that was left were probably some worthless bits of seafood. It would be a waste of time and effort and not worth anything.

He slung the sand shovel over his shoulder: "Let's find another spot."

"Where to go? All the good mudflats around here have been taken over," Wang Feng replied irritably.

Wu Sui thought for a moment, then turned to Wu Gang: "Brother, how about we try our luck at the mangrove forest?"

Before Wu Gang could even speak, Wang Feng immediately bristled at these words.

She threw down the plastic bucket she was holding, rushed over and stood in front of Wu Gang, pointing her finger at Wu Sui and shouting loudly.

"Second brother, are you crazy? Is a mangrove forest a place for humans?!"

Wang Feng's voice rose eight octaves, sounding particularly sharp even on the chaotic mudflats.

By this time, the tide had receded most of its length, exposing large areas of wet reefs to the air, which was filled with a strong fishy smell.

Wu Sui closed his eyes and silently recited a sentence in his mind.

"System, activate radar scan."

The next second, a familiar scanning interface appeared in front of him.

The translucent ripples spread rapidly outwards from him, covering a ten-meter radius of the reef.

Wu Sui opened his eyes, ready to see if there were any fish that had slipped through the net in this obscure area.

Immediately afterward, he froze on the spot.

My breathing stopped for a moment.

Everywhere you look, there's green light!

Dense, swathes of green light!

These green dots, representing high-value seafood, almost filled every crevice of the rocks in front of us.

A rough count revealed at least a thousand green dots flashing simultaneously.

Is there a bug in the system?

Or is some earth-shattering marine life hidden beneath this desolate, abandoned rocky beach?

"Second brother, what are you staring at?"

Wang Fengqi climbed onto the flat-topped reef and gave Wu Sui a push.

"There's not a soul in sight in this godforsaken place, what are we even digging for?"

Wu Sui was jolted back to his senses by the push. He swallowed hard and turned to look at Wang Feng and Wu Gang.

His voice became a little hoarse from excitement.

"Big brother, sister-in-law."

"The buckets we brought might not be enough to hold everything."
