I slept without any dreams.

After the rain stopped, the sky was a hazy black. The air conditioner was turned off, and the air still carried the sticky smell of intimacy.

Pei Shaoyuan lay on his side, half of his shoulder bent in an uncomfortable position, and one of his arms was numb and cold because Yu Lian had been using it as a pillow, causing poor blood flow.

Afraid of chilling her, I carefully pulled her out. I didn't turn on any lights, and could only see her face by the dim light coming in from the window.

The myriad colors on her face turned into pure white, her breathing was so light it was almost inaudible, her eyelashes hung obediently, and she seemed to be having no dreams.

I slept very well and fell asleep very quickly.

He was always the only one who couldn't bear to part with it.

Even after they had done the most intimate things, he was still filled with anxiety and unease. He needed to keep his eyes fixed on her to feel certain that she was really there beside him and wouldn't leave at any moment.

Just before she closed her eyes tonight, he leaned over and kissed her. She was probably still dazed from the pleasure, so she obediently tilted her head back and let him kiss her. After the kiss, she snuggled into his arms and remained quiet for a while.

Just when he thought she had fallen asleep, she suddenly looked up. Her voice was sleepy and husky: "Shall we be together tomorrow too?"

For a moment, Pei Shaoyuan couldn't tell whether this seemingly nonsensical question was simply clingy, a sign of insecurity, or a desire to dump him, a confession made after the tide had passed.

Lovely yet hateful.

She said those words without a care in the world and then fell asleep, leaving him alone to watch over her, afraid to sleep, wanting to pledge his loyalty the moment she woke up.

He wished he could cling to her like a leech and live like this forever, what did he have to do with tomorrow?

I woke up at some time, and the heavy curtains were all drawn, not letting in a single ray of light.

The bed was large. Yu Lian turned over, closed her eyes, and reached out to the side, but couldn't find anyone.

His eyes snapped open.

This idiot wouldn't really do what Jiang Shaoheng cursed—sleep with her and run away, would he?

My phone was still under my pillow. I squinted as I turned on the screen, the excessive brightness stinging my eyes and bringing tears to my eyes. There were a few unread messages scattered around. Pei Shaoyuan had none, but the most frequent message came from Lu Jiefei, who rarely sends messages, but had been sending one every few hours today.

"The Invincible Cold-Faced Man: Are you awake?"

"The invincible cold-faced man: If you were overworked yesterday, it's best not to eat takeout today, as it's devoid of nutrition. Eat at home, or I'll cook something and bring it to you."

"Invincible Cold-Faced Man: Aunt Yu asked you today, and I said you went out with your classmates this morning."

"Invincible Cold-Faced Man: Are you alright? Let me know you're safe."

Yu Lian didn't reply immediately. She threw off the covers and got out of bed. The movement pulled and tingled her lower back. Just as Lu Jiefei's lousy document said, her body, which she never exercised, couldn't even bear lying flat.

She leaned against the bed for a while, feeling depressed. She didn't laugh at Pei Shaoyuan after he meowed last night, and she was too embarrassed to say that she was actually more used to his meowing.

But he insisted on proving his point, pulling her along again. This time it was even harder than before, and Yu Lian couldn't bear it, asking him several times why it wasn't over yet. He shamelessly laughed and said she needed to try even harder.

What a despicable man.

She was wearing a T-shirt that Pei Shaoyuan had put on her at some point; it was a size that just went past her waist and covered her thighs.

She had just opened the door and taken two steps when she heard Pei Shaoyuan making a phone call in the living room. She couldn't understand a single word, but she could sense the suppressed impatience in his tone.

"…알아서할테니까재촉하지마. (I will take care of it, don’t rush me)"

The phone call had already gone on long enough. Pei Shaoyuan couldn't concentrate on listening to his father's words because he thought of Yu Lian, who was still asleep. He was afraid that she would be upset if she woke up and didn't see him, so he quickly said a few words to end the call and hung up.

Turning around, Yu Lian looked at him expressionlessly.

Her hair was disheveled from sleeping, scattered haphazardly across her chest and back, making her face appear even smaller. Even her deliberately cold expression couldn't hide the rosy glow of a well-rested woman. A few pale red marks were scattered across her slender neck. Leaning against the wall, the loose fabric of her clothes pressed against her waist, creating a slight indentation in her hip line.

His disheveled hair and crooked posture made him look pitiful for no reason. Even with his worst expression, he looked like he was being coaxed. In just one glance, all the restlessness, frustration, and anxiety caused by his father's phone call melted into a pool of sugar water.

He hurried over to hug her, but Yu Lian grimaced and pushed his hand away as soon as it touched her waist.

She could only stand helplessly to the side, hunched over, her shadow completely enveloped by his excessive height.

"Why are you awake? Are you feeling unwell? Does your back hurt? Let me carry you back. Would you like something to eat, or would you like some water first?"

The conversation was chaotic and disorganized; lacking experience in serving others, I could only awkwardly ask around.

He kept a close eye on Yu Lian all night, only getting light sleep, with dark circles under his eyes. Standing next to Yu Lian, he looked like the one who had been tormented the night before.

Seeing this made Yu Lian even angrier: "Yeah, I feel uncomfortable everywhere, my stomach hurts."

When he opened his mouth, he found that his voice was hoarse, and he sounded similar to Ao Chen, with several notes of a sentence distorted.

Pei Shaoyuan heard it too, and his expression froze for a moment. He didn't dare to laugh and placed his hand on her lower abdomen.

The images inevitably crashed into my mind, bulging out of what was originally flat, and it certainly didn't hurt.

He half-pushed, half-carried her into the room. His voice wasn't as casual and impatient as it was when he was on the phone; he was rambling on and on.

"Let me rub it for you. If your stomach hurts, don't run around. You even chased after me just to make a phone call. Are you that reluctant to leave me? Otherwise, I'll take you with me everywhere from now on, and I'll put you in my pocket."

As he spoke, his words became suggestive again. Yu Lian's voice was hoarse, and she didn't want to speak anymore. She held her breath and didn't scold him. Lying back on the bed, she felt as if her stomach was a dough being kneaded and squeezed by him. He didn't know how to knead properly; his thoughts were pure, but his methods were erotic.

Finally enraged, she kicked him hard.

Why do you keep touching my stomach? Have you no shame?

She hadn't used much strength through the blanket, and her kick to Pei Shaoyuan's shin didn't even hurt. He paused, raised an eyebrow, and looked over, used to Yu Lian's tendency to turn the tables, and asked considerately.

"What's wrong with me touching my girlfriend's stomach? Should I call the police?"

"You're not throwing a tantrum because you regretted it after sleeping with me, are you?"

As he massaged his soft belly with his fingers, Yu Lian was already furious before he could say anything, his tone turning icy.

"It's no use regretting it now. You've already opened and used it. Have you ever seen anything that can be returned after use? Don't be unreasonable."

This reminded Yu Lian.

His lips moved, but his voice was hoarse.

"The reason is that I like Chu Nan."

"You're happy and proud that it's been opened and used? You're now a defective product, 98% new, second-hand."

"Nobody wants you, and I don't want you either."

Her words came out in a jumbled mess, clearly filled with resentment. Pei Shaoyuan twitched his lips, almost laughing in anger, and reached out to pinch her cheek to stop her from saying anything more.

"If your voice is sore, then stop saying hurtful things. It's past the time for you to talk dirty."

"Is this to make up for the regret of only being able to moan and groan last night?"

"Or perhaps, what you actually like about Chu Nan is the duration of his performance, because of yourself..."

Yu Lian's lips were torn open, and she knew that speaking at this moment would sound stupid, so she could only glare at him angrily. Pei Shaoyuan's heart softened at the glare, and he let go of her, then hugged her affectionately again.

He softened his tone and stroked her back gently, as if stroking her hair.

"Okay, I know you got upset because you couldn't find me after you woke up. It's my fault. Finish your meal before you yell at me, okay?"

"My family just called. My grandfather is sick, and I need to go back to H country to see him. Do you want to come with me?"

She paused, realizing that if she asked Yu Lian this question, she would definitely say no. She had previously said something like "everyone has their own life," a ridiculous statement that no one knew who invented, to keep him from clinging to her.

She changed her tune again, and stopped acting all cutesy.

"Come with me. I've been here for so long, my family scolds me, my friends ignore me, and you're all I have left in my life. I'll go crazy if we're in a long-distance relationship. I'm afraid you'll go find your own life and leave me."

They said it so much they almost wanted to type a ㅠㅠ symbol to show how pitiful he was.

Yu Lian looked up and saw him winking and pretending to be sad. She was that kind of person, but he wasn't; the way his facial muscles twitched looked more like a provocation.

She hardened her resolve: "I won't go. How do I know if the flight transits through Myanmar?"

Pei Shaoyuan, feeling betrayed, questioned, "You don't believe me? Do you think that all those nights you stay up playing games and eating junk food are worth me selling myself and paying you money to lie to you? And your brain, you're only smart to me."

"Why don't you believe me even after we've slept together? Is it because I'm not Chu Nan anymore? Is Chu Nan your religious belief?"

Yu Lian remained unmoved: "Sleeping with you only proves that I trust your **, not you."

She dared not touch people's hearts that were too cold, but she could touch warm ones.

Pei Shaoyuan opened his mouth to argue again, but Yu Lian got annoyed and slapped him to shut up.

This pat wasn't as forceful as before; it was more like an affectionate gesture. Pei Shaoyuan could even taste the sweetness in this small detail, and he didn't want to argue anymore. He tilted his head and rubbed his palm against hers.

He rubbed against her neck and shoulders, his voice muffled, as he secretly sniffed her while pleading with her.

"Come with me, come with me, come with me, come with me, come with me, come with me, come with me, come with me..."

"You like watching that show, the one where the male lead has a chin big enough to peel an apple, right? How about we let you meet the female lead when we get there? Or whatever girl group you like, I can find them to hang out with you, really? Don't you want to?"

He would blurt out anything incredibly exaggerated. Yu Lian, this lousy gamer, had never heard of such things before; her worldview was about to be reshaped, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

She has never been abroad, and rarely even leaves the city. In the past, when she was poor, not flying first class or staying in five-star hotels was less appealing to her than playing video games at home.

But now.

"Do we really have to go now?"

Seeing her hesitation, Pei Shaoyuan immediately changed his mind, thinking that delaying for a few days was better than not going at all.

"You can go whenever you want, how about next week? The week after?"

His tone was so eager, as if he wished he had a tail to wrap around her waist. Although he didn't have a tail, he did have one. Unfortunately, it wasn't long enough; he could only wag it, not wrap it around her, which left him with a sense of regret.

Ao Chen is coming in a week, and Yu Lian needs to inform Yu Sihui before going abroad. She can't make long-term plans beyond an hour's time, and her mind starts to fog up when she thinks about it.

He was just giving perfunctory answers.

"Once this busy period is over..."

Pei Shaoyuan had no idea what else a student on a long holiday could be busy with besides cheating. Just as he was about to try and get a more specific time, his gaze fell on Yu Lian's phone, which she had casually tossed aside. The screen lit up as a flood of new messages came in.
