October 1st!

The National Day holiday has begun, a rare and extended break, a joyous occasion, and "The Martian" is officially released!

Cinemas across the country are experiencing a movie-watching frenzy, with countless viewers braving the scorching sun to watch movies without any dampening of their enthusiasm!

The first hard science fiction film in Chinese-language cinema!

A Chinese-language film that topped the Hollywood box office charts, a sci-fi movie that even foreigners praised!

The eager audience quickly arrived at the cinema!

The National Day holiday is a peak season for tourism, but this time a strange sight appeared!

Southern City Daily: "During the National Day holiday, a peak tourist season, the release of the movie 'The Martian' turned cinemas into the hottest tourist destination!"

Phenomenal!

CCTV reporters were even present at various cinemas to conduct on-site interviews!

"Hello everyone, happy National Day holiday! Right now, all we see are movie theaters. Since the release of the movie 'The Martian' this morning, long queues have formed at theaters across the country, and this is the current situation behind us: the crowds are still there and are constantly expanding!"

The reporter, beaming with smiles, introduced the location to the camera and then moved aside to film the long queue outside the cinema behind him!

The scene was absolutely spectacular!

The hall was already packed with people!

There were several layers of people gathered outside, including students, families, and even elderly men and their grandchildren who were being shielded from the sun by umbrellas.

The camera panned around to capture the exciting situation before turning to the reporter.

"As you can see from the footage, 'The Martian' is incredibly popular, so let me interview some of the audience members who are queuing up."

The reporter, who had come with a mission, smiled at the camera and led the team to the long queue to begin the interview.

"Hello, we are reporters from CCTV. May we interview you, sir?"

The reporter picked out a man wearing a plaid shirt and glasses and asked him a question.

Upon hearing that it was a CCTV interview, the man in the plaid shirt immediately nodded in agreement, tidied himself up, and pushed up his glasses, saying, "No problem!"

"Alright, how long has this gentleman been here?"

"I've been queuing for over two hours just to see Chen An's 'The Martian'!"

The man in the plaid shirt said with a serious expression.

"Two hours? And you're still in line outside! There's a whole line of people ahead of you!" the reporter exclaimed in surprise.

This guy has been standing in the middle of the queue for over two hours. Do you think he'll be able to see a movie today?

The man in the plaid shirt, unfazed by the reporter's surprise, said, "It's alright. There are a lot of people here, and the cinema has many screenings. I heard from the people in front that the cinema is planning to add more screenings, so we'll definitely be able to see some today!"

"You're planning to spend a whole day queuing? Is 'The Martian' really that appealing to you as a movie?"

"Of course! It's the first hard science fiction film made in China, and it even topped the box office in the US, it's a world-class production! Naturally, I have to see it as soon as possible!"

The man in the plaid shirt confidently expressed his anticipation for the movie!

As a sci-fi fan, how could I not be excited to finally be able to understand a sci-fi film made in China!

The reporter thanked the other party for their answer, and then interviewed the audience members in line, each of whom gave their own answer!

"Of course it's for my brother; I'll definitely support his movie!"

"I came from Weibo. This is a world-class sci-fi film from Chinese cinema—a historic breakthrough!"

"I'm a fan of Chen An. I've watched every one of his movies, and they've never disappointed me. I'm especially looking forward to seeing a sci-fi film with space agency involvement, and the reunion of the male and female leads from 'My Sassy Girl'!"

"My grandson told me about government-supported films. With the country developing so rapidly, I definitely have to check out films supported by the space agency!"
