Huayu: Enjoy Yourself

Chapter 346: Coming from behind to the top, regaining the top spot!

As the screening ended, all the invited audience members stood up and applauded enthusiastically!

Although it was a Chinese-language film, it still gave them a great sense of shock and enjoyment!

They were congratulating and celebrating the imminent rise of Chinese science fiction films!

Feeling the applause, Chen An bowed to express his gratitude!

A top-tier science fiction film, marking the rise of Chinese science fiction films!

Growing potatoes on Mars! A seemingly fantastical yet realistic idea; NASA has explained the feasibility of the plan—an unparalleled creative concept!

"This is Chen's best science fiction film, the best science fiction film in China, and the best science fiction film in the world!"

"The Martian" is a very clever big-budget production; the gripping plot brings viewers a simple and pure sense of satisfaction!

For film critics, the film's excellence earned it their unwavering praise!

Moreover, Chen An's arrangements gave them a sense of participation!

"......"

The international situation today is not what it was later; the United States' biggest enemy is still Russia!

The film has received rave reviews from various media outlets!

Chen An closed the webpage. The movie has received high praise and is very entertaining.

But being a Chinese-language film, it only grossed $7.8 million on its opening day!

Fortunately, there weren't any strong competitors, and even so, it managed to squeeze into second place on the daily box office chart!

The number one spot goes to "Flight Crisis," starring Jodie Foster, the lead actress in "Hannibal."

The box office on the first day was 8.2 million!

The difference is not significant, so even if we didn't take the top spot, it's still a great success!

Sony called, saying that the results had met expectations.

Judging from the current performance and reputation, the decline in future performance is not expected to be too significant!

After hanging up the phone, Chen An used a VPN to browse Weibo.

The page shows that "Crazy Stone" has surpassed 100 million yuan at the box office!

It took more than three weeks!

The actors involved, along with the Lightyear Pictures account, posted a joint message to celebrate!

Various images were displayed everywhere, completely avoiding the later formulaic approach, and the effect was excellent!

According to Cao Guowei's report, Weibo's user base is growing rapidly every day!

Other types of software have not yet appeared on the market, so the market structure has basically been established!

Weibo has achieved initial success!

But the good news is yet to come: at the very end of the summer movie season, the highly acclaimed Chinese film "The Martian" was released!

They seized the last opportunity!

NASA's appearance attracted a lot of attention, and the box office began to reverse!

On the second day, the box office grew to 11 million US dollars, taking the top spot at the daily box office!

The box office for "Air Crisis" also saw growth, but not much, reaching only ten million US dollars!

The box office on the last day of the first weekend was even more drastically cut, dropping to only $5.9 million!

While The Martian did not achieve sustained growth, it still maintained a box office of 11 million US dollars!

It grossed $2980 million at the box office in its opening weekend!

Although it was far from the original box office of $5430 million.

However, it was a Chinese-language film that won the weekend championship!

Since "Hero", another Chinese-language film has achieved this result!

According to various media reports, it's been called the last hurrah of the summer movie season!

It seems they received a lot of money from Sony!

Chen An stopped participating in promotions three days after the film's release.

I boarded a plane directly back to Beijing!

The North American results were good, but the copyright has already been sold, so how much money Chen An makes is no longer relevant to him!

The most important thing is domestic promotion!

The Martian was heavily promoted!

Even after Chen An's plane landed in Beijing, slogans could be seen at the airport!

It will be released nationwide during the National Day holiday, including in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong!

That's right, Taiwan is one of them!

Some people don't want Chen An's movie to be released, but others don't care about that!

For example, Chen An's previous collaborators in Taiwan... It didn't matter much with some of his earlier films, but with the highly anticipated "The Martian"...

I don't want to miss it no matter what!

They even made a guarantee for its release and screening!

Chen An didn't care. Although he looked down on the Taiwanese market, this operation was both a slap in the face and a blow to his morale. Chen An felt that it didn't matter how much he earned!

So they immediately launched an announcement, setting the release date for nationwide release on October 1st!

This surprised many people!

Stellar Cinemas!

Another celebration banquet was held to mark the 100 million yuan milestone of "Crazy Stone"!

Ning Hao becomes the newest member of the "Directors with Box Office Reaching Over 100 Million Yuan" club!

He became known in the media as a genius commercial director!

After smashing the ice sculpture, Huang Bo excitedly opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate!

I wouldn't say I've become an overnight sensation, but I'm finally no longer an unknown actor!

Especially after Ning Hao said he wanted him to be the lead in his next movie, his face was full of excitement!

"Oh~!"

I couldn't help but celebrate loudly!

The other actors cheered and jumped for joy!

As soon as Chen An entered the room, he saw this chaotic scene of demons dancing wildly!

"Is it that exciting?" Chen An muttered to himself.

However, I can understand their excitement; a movie grossing over 100 million is an extremely rare thing!

"Director Chen!"

Huang Bo, who was spraying champagne, stared wide-eyed as he saw Chen An arrive!

Chen An waved and greeted them, then smiled at the people on the stage.

I still have to come and celebrate the fact that my own movie has grossed over 100 million yuan.

The invited media all watched Chen An's return to China with excitement.

The Martian is about to be released, and we finally got to see people!

"Great shot!" Chen An walked onto the stage, patted Ning Hao on the shoulder to encourage him, and said that he was a little late.

Ning Hao shook his head and said, "It's enough that Senior Brother is here. You're such a busy person, hahaha..."

'

He drank quite a bit, his dark face was almost flushed red, and he was so happy he couldn't contain himself!

They were just making short films and music videos before, and now they've become incredibly successful!

Join the "Directors with 100 Million Yuan Box Office Success" club!

It was undeniably exciting.

Riding a swift horse in the spring breeze, I can see all the flowers of Chang'an in a single day!

This is the best description!

What's more, he's still quite young for a director!

Chen An smiled and didn't intend to disturb the other person's smugness. Letting him be happy was something he deserved to be happy about!

Ning Hao was alright, but with Chen An's arrival, the actors seemed to sober up and became much more reserved.

Seeing this, Chen An didn't plan to stay any longer and just came over to offer his congratulations.

Looking at Huang Bo now, he has long hair, is not good-looking, but has a pretty artistic vibe.

After declining the reporters' requests for an interview, Chen An left first, intending to go home and get some rest!

I didn't even go to the company; I went straight back to the courtyard house.

Pushing open the door, the courtyard was rather quiet, so Zeng Li was probably not there.

Now is a crucial time for nationwide publicity, and there's no time for the other party to rest!

Only he, the streetlamp guardian, possessed this.

Go to the bathroom and wash up.

I have to say I've been really tired lately. I even dozed off for a bit while soaking in the bathtub.

I almost fell asleep if my head hadn't been pressed against the hard tub!

Rubbing his temples to clear his head, Chen An stood up and began to clean his body.

I haven't stopped or had a proper rest during this period!

Sony's urgent request for filming led to all of this; Chen An had originally planned to postpone the filming until next year.

But sometimes plans just don't go as expected!

With the other party throwing money at the problem, he had no choice but to agree. With such a wealthy and powerful partner, he could only suffer a bit, since he himself was not strong enough to afford the issuance costs.

After drying his hair with a hairdryer, Chen An lay down on the bed without Zeng Li by his side, stretched his arms and legs, and smiled.

It's quite spacious. When the other person is around, they always move closer to me, and I almost forgot that the bed is quite big!
