"Three top soldiers mobilized simultaneously..."
Qiao Xinxin rolled over in bed, pulling the blanket down to her chin, her mind a complete mess.
What if... what if they are really seriously injured?
In the 1980s, when medical care and medicine were scarce, even a small wound could become infected or cause excessive blood loss if a young man was injured in the deep mountains and forests.
"What if... what if I could make some better medicine?"
The thought suddenly popped into Qiao Xinxin's mind, taking root and sprouting wildly in her heart like a weed:
"For example, a powder that can stop bleeding instantly? Or a highly effective anti-inflammatory drug that prevents wound infection? Even if they are injured, as long as they can hold on until they get back to the hospital, they have an extra life!"
Once the idea took hold, it could no longer be suppressed.
Qiao Xinxin suddenly sat up in bed.
She put on a coat, tiptoed out of bed, and walked barefoot to the door. She carefully locked the door from the inside, then went over and drew the curtains tightly shut, not letting a single ray of light through.
After doing all this, she took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and silently said a word in her heart.
"Whoosh—"
The next second, the slightly cool air around us vanished instantly.
When Qiao Xinxin opened her eyes again, she was standing on a lush green meadow that smelled of fresh grass.
Above them was a constant, gentle halo of light, and all around was quiet, except for the magical spring in the distance that was still bubbling up its clear water.
Qiao Xinxin didn't have time to appreciate the scenery of the space. She took off running towards the towering, magnificent glass curtain wall building in the distance.
That was her "comprehensive shopping mall" in her space, which contained everything, and you could buy all kinds of modern goods.
"Pat, pat."
Qiao Xinxin ran forward, pushed open the heavy glass door, and a cool blast of air immediately hit her.
The first floor was still that huge, modern, smart supermarket, with shelves filled with a dazzling array of snacks, fresh produce, clothes, and daily necessities. But Qiao Xinxin didn't even glance at them today, walking straight past them and heading directly to the escalator at the far end of the mall, which gleamed with a silvery-white metallic sheen.
"bite--"
The elevator doors slid open silently.
Qiao Xinxin walked in, took a deep breath, raised her fair fingers, and pressed the button for the third floor heavily.
The third floor is the most mysterious area in this shopping mall.
She usually wouldn't dare come here, because what they sell here isn't physical goods, but all sorts of skill books, recipes, and high-tech knowledge. Each item is so expensive it hurts to look at them.
The elevator began to slowly ascend. Qiao Xinxin gripped the hem of her clothes tightly, her heart pounding in her chest, silently praying:
"We absolutely must have a usable prescription...we absolutely must!"
"bite--"
The elevator doors slid open silently, and Qiao Xinxin took a deep breath and stepped out. But when she saw what was in front of her, she couldn't help but hold her breath slightly.
The space on the third floor was much more spacious than the large supermarket on the first floor. Huge bookshelves, reaching all the way to the ceiling, were densely packed with all kinds of books. Soft, colored lights shimmered at the top of the shelves, like indicator strips clearly separating the different categories of books.
In the very center of these bookshelves, a huge holographic screen is suspended, displaying the classification and search methods of various books.
Qiao Xinxin walked quickly to the large screen and rapidly entered several keywords into the search bar: medicine, drug manufacturing, and special prescription.
The screen flickered slightly, and then a long string of search results popped up.
Qiao Xinxin patiently read through the list, one by one. But after flipping through the first two pages, most of them were just routine medical textbooks and pharmacology books, which were almost identical to what she had learned in school in her previous life. They were of no use in the current emergency.
When she turned to the third page, her gaze was suddenly drawn to the cover of a book.
The book's cover was an extremely rare deep blue-green, very clean, without any fancy patterns, only a few large gold-embossed characters—"Ancient Prescriptions, New Methods: General Outline for the Refining of Highly Effective Drugs".
Qiao Xinxin's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly clicked on the book's synopsis to browse through it.
Upon seeing this, her eyes immediately lit up.
This book is not your average modern medical textbook; it's more like a masterpiece that combines ancient magical remedies with modern high-tech pharmaceutical techniques! It contains the methods for making dozens of special medicines, from how to quickly stop bleeding and promote tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation and relieve pain, to how to detoxify, expel evil spirits, and reconnect bones and tendons. It covers almost all the deadly injuries that might be encountered on the battlefield.
What appealed to Qiao Xinxin most was that although the ingredients in these medicines were carefully selected, most of them weren't modern chemically synthesized drugs, but rather some unique herbs. These herbs might have long since disappeared outside her space, or simply couldn't be found at all, but within her space, she could easily buy seeds and grow them herself!
"This is it!"
The more Qiao Xinxin read, the more she felt that this book was exactly what she needed to save her life. Without the slightest hesitation, she immediately clicked "buy" on the screen.
The next second, a gentle, mechanical voice rang out in the empty third floor:
"Ding! Balance deducted, transaction complete."
As soon as she finished speaking, the book transformed into a soft stream of light and appeared out of thin air on the bookshelf in front of her.
Qiao Xinxin couldn't wait to reach out and pull out the book. The book was thick and heavy, and the cover didn't feel like ordinary paper at all; it felt more like some kind of soft and warm leather.
She quickly turned to the first page, where dense text and detailed herbal illustrations immediately came into view. The shape and properties of each herb were clearly marked, in great detail.
Qiao Xinxin flipped directly to the table of contents and immediately spotted the two categories she was most interested in: "Hemostasis" and "Anti-inflammatory".
She turned the pages and studied them carefully for a while, discovering that a significant portion of the medicinal materials needed for these two types of prescriptions overlapped. For example, a herb called "Blood Clotting Grass" could not only stop bleeding instantly but also promote rapid wound healing; another vine called "Green Spirit Vine" had an amazing anti-inflammatory effect and could effectively prevent wound suppuration and infection.
Qiao Xinxin looked at the names and illustrations of the medicinal herbs, and then glanced at the growth cycle and planting conditions marked at the bottom of the book. She immediately felt more confident.
She snapped the book shut, turned around, and strode quickly toward the seed counter in the mall.
