Huayu: Starting from managing the Mahua FunAge Theater Troupe

"A scholar can be killed but not humiliated." Shen Tengning refused to open his eyes even in the face of death: "Former officials of the previous dynasty, you may kill or torture them as you please."

Shen Feiyang readily agreed: "Okay, then you can treat everyone to dinner after the meeting."

"Damn it." Shen Teng opened his eyes, leaned back in his chair, and said nonchalantly, "I have no money, and I won't give you my life either."

Wei Xiang, Huang Nina, and Zhou Dayong chuckled softly.

The atmosphere at the meeting became much more relaxed.

"Alright, alright," Yu Kai said, trying to calm things down. "Let's get down to business."

All eyes turned to him.

Yu Kai got straight to the point: "A lot has happened in the past few days. The most important thing is that Shen Feiyang, President Shen, has acquired our company. Let's give President Shen a round of applause and invite him to say a few words."

Splash splash splash splash splash.

The applause lasted for about three seconds.

Shen Feiyang then began, "Let me introduce myself first. My name is Shen Feiyang. You all know me, so I won't go into too much detail."

We are friends in private, but at work, we are colleagues with a superior-subordinate relationship.

Everyone has their own responsibilities. Mr. Yu and I are in charge of managing the company, providing everyone with a good platform, and striving to help everyone achieve fame as soon as possible. We hope to have everyone's support in the future. Thank you all.

clap clap.

Shen Teng immediately took the lead and clapped vigorously.

Shen Teng isn't stupid; for him, Shen Feiyang's rise to power is a good thing.

After the applause subsided, Yu Kai spoke again: "Although President Shen is young, he has a lot of ideas, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed."

Following Mr. Shen's guidance, I reflected on my own actions and summarized his suggestions, which led to a plan for the company's future development.

The specific starting point is to revitalize our only current performance project, "Mahua".

The failure of the first round of performances had nothing to do with the content of the performances or the actors' acting skills; it was mainly due to the failure of the location selection and the marketing plan.

The venue issue has been resolved. On February 9th, we will move to the Haidian Theater to complete the third round of 14 performances.

The second round of performances will not be canceled. From January 13th to January 20th, as previously planned, the performances will still be held at the Yifu Theater of the Central Academy of Drama, but the publicity strategy has been changed.

We will hire five large buses and five minibuses to invite young men and women directly from the street to watch the show for free. We have also invited the media to follow up and report on the performance, in order to build a good reputation and promote the third round of performances.

The performances from January 24 to February 8 will still be held at the Yifu Theater of the Central Academy of Drama.

From February 9th to February 20th, the Yifu Theatre will also be busy, with Shen Teng starring in several performances of "Mahua".

The subsequent plans will be adjusted based on the actual situation.

Regarding future plans, I can reveal a little: Mr. Shen has planned a TV program with a format similar to a sketch comedy competition. Currently, he is actively negotiating with a TV program production company, and in the near future, everyone may appear on television.

One last thing: General Manager Shen adjusted the salary structure for the company's contracted actors. The base salary increased by 500, and the performance fee per show rose to 50. Salaries will be paid immediately after the meeting.

This last point is actually the most reassuring.

A new boss, business restructuring, and future plans—none of that matters to employees; all that matters is getting paid.

Huang Nina and Zhou Dayong, who graduated from the Central Academy of Drama and signed with the company because of Tian Youliang, breathed a sigh of relief. They didn't lose their jobs and even got a raise, which was great.

Yu Kai looked at the signing ceremony and asked, "Does anyone have any further comments?"

Everyone shook their heads.

Yu Kai looked at Shen Feiyang: "Mr. Shen, is there anything else you'd like to say?"

Shen Feiyang looked at Shen Teng.

"Ah, the vine..."

"Alright, alright, I'll treat everyone to dinner."

"Thank you, Brother Teng," Wei Xiang echoed.

"Thank you, Brother Teng."

Huang Nina and Zhou Dayong echoed this sentiment.

Shen Teng smiled outwardly, but inwardly he thought: Is this what they mean by "when one person attains enlightenment, even their chickens and dogs ascend to heaven"?

bah bah bah!

I'm not a chicken or a dog!

Shen Feiyang is not even human!

……

I found a restaurant serving Northeastern Chinese cuisine.

After finishing the meal.

Shen Feiyang assigned tasks to everyone: tomorrow, each person would be paired with a newspaper reporter to travel in a pre-arranged bus to five selected shopping malls to recruit people.

They only pick up couples and young people.

It's winter break, and the Lunar New Year is just around the corner. Couples out for a stroll have plenty of free time. Besides, these people will most likely use computers, which can be used to support subsequent online promotional activities.

Shen Feiyang demonstrated his sales pitch to everyone, emphasizing free transportation, free access to big star performances, and so on...

……

The next day.

1 month 13 day.

Two o'clock in the afternoon.

Five buses and five minibuses, each bearing a poster that reads "Happy Twist Theater Troupe invites you to watch the nation's first hilarious Lunar New Year stage play, 'Want to Eat Twist? We'll Twist It for You Now' (starring He Jiong, Xie Na, and Yu Na), hop on and we're off!", were carrying reporters and members of the theater troupe as they went out to pick up people on the street.

The minibus functions more like a "mobile advertising vehicle," traveling through busy areas that are inconvenient for buses to reach, using loudspeakers to advertise, providing shuttle and guidance services, and taking some of the audience to the fixed boarding points where buses stop.

The bus was parked in a large commercial complex with parking spaces.

They used buses as their base.

Shen Feiyang led a reporter from the Beijing Evening News into the mall.

The Beijing Evening News was one of the five local newspapers that Yu Kai was connected with.

Yu Kai and Liu Tingzhao, who is currently the deputy editor-in-chief of the Beijing Evening News, are alumni of the Chinese Department of Peking University.

Although Liu Tingzhao was a student pursuing further studies, it did not prevent him from cultivating a relationship with Liu.

Other newspapers were also contacted by Yu Kai through similar channels.

Of course, a fee will definitely be paid to the newspaper for their help, but the decision on when the newspaper will send a reporter to cover the story still depends on personal connections.

……

"Hello, excuse me."

Shen Feiyang stopped a couple.

The couple stopped and looked at Shen Feiyang with a mixture of suspicion and wariness, but their expressions relaxed a little when they saw the microphone with the Beijing Evening News logo in the hand of the reporter next to them.

"Gentlemen, this is the poster for our theater troupe's performance..."

Shen Feiyang sent out the posters first.

After receiving the poster, the young couple were immediately drawn to the two large "Free" signs.

Shen Feiyang explained from the side: "I am Shen Feiyang, the head of the Happy Twist Troupe. Our troupe has put on the first hilarious New Year's stage comedy in the country, starring He Jiong, the host of Happy Camp, Xie Na, the host of Phoenix TV's Variety New Power, and Yu Na, the lead actress of the TV series What Can Save You, My Love."

The girl couldn't help but chime in, "I really enjoy watching 'Happy Camp'..."

Shen Feiyang said with a smile, "That's right. In order to give back to the audience for their love for him, Teacher He Jiong paid out of his own pocket to invite lucky audience members to watch the show for free, and provided free pick-up and drop-off services. You two are the lucky audience members who were selected."

The boy asked suspiciously, "You guys aren't scammers, are you? Is it really possible to meet He Jiong?"

Shen Feiyang pointed to the reporter next to him: "Who would dare to impersonate a reporter from the Beijing Evening News?"

The girl was quite tempted: "Let's go take a look, it's free anyway."

Shen Feiyang immediately added, "The buses that pick up and drop off the audience are in the parking lot outside. They have the words 'Happy Twist Troupe' on them, so they are very easy to spot. They also provide free snacks, drinks, and movies on board."

Girl: "Wow, that's awesome! Let's go!"

Boy: "Okay, okay."

……

at the same time.

In various corners of the city, many young men and women who wanted to see big stars or were interested in the performance boarded the bus...
