Huayu: Starting from managing the Mahua FunAge Theater Troupe

After Shen Teng and the others left, Jiang's mother cooked a bowl of longevity noodles for her daughter.

The mother and daughter sat facing each other at the dining table.

"Happy 18th birthday." Jiang's mother raised her hand to tuck a stray strand of hair behind Jiang Yan's ear.

Jiang Yan smiled, her dimples deep: "Thank you for your hard work, Mom."

"Eat quickly."

"Then I won't be polite."

Jiang Yan couldn't wait to start eating.

Seeing Jiang Yan enjoying her meal, her mother smiled and said, "Today's coming-of-age birthday celebration was a bit simple. I originally wanted to throw you a big birthday party and invite your classmates and friends from the theater troupe, but the performance time conflicts with the school dormitory schedule, so we can't do it. How about we make it up to you on Saturday the day after tomorrow?"

Jiang Yan chewed her noodles and thought for a moment before replying, "No need. Today's birthday was very meaningful. Celebrating my birthday on stage is a unique kind of romance for actors. I'll be having a back-to-school party with my classmates later, and I'll treat them to something delicious. I've earned some money too, hehe."

"Okay. Mom's going to take a shower now."

"it is good."

Jiang's mother went to the bathroom.

While eating the longevity noodles cooked by her mother, Jiang Yan's gaze fell on the 199 roses placed on the living room floor.

Jiang Yan remembered the words Shen Teng left behind before he left.

What's inside the flower?

Jiang Yan put down her chopsticks, listened to the sound of water in the bathroom, and got up to walk towards the roses.

Squat down.

Jiang Yan observed for a moment.

The roses had a label that read "Happy Birthday Erpang" attached, along with a greeting card.

Erpang was a nickname given to Jiang Yan by her college classmates because she had a chubby face and a cheerful personality with a touch of "silliness." Her classmates gave her this nickname, and Yu Shasha brought it to the theater troupe, where everyone usually called her that.

Jiang Yan picked up the greeting card.

I opened it and took a look.

It was just everyone wishing her a happy birthday, without everyone's autographs, nothing special else.

Jiang Yan put down the greeting card and reached out to pull off the label.

The label was stuck to a small stick, from which a rope protruded.

Jiang Yan pulled the rope out, and an envelope was tied to the end of the rope.

What is this?

Jiang Yan raised an eyebrow.

She took the envelope and opened it.

The envelope contained two things: a letter and a gold pendant shaped like a small tiger.

Jiang Yan was born in the Year of the Tiger.

Looking at the pendant in her hand, and then at the unopened letter, Jiang Yan's heart began to race.

Jiang Yan unfolded the letter, skipped the content, and went straight to the signature.

—Shen Feiyang.

It turns out it was Shen Feiyang.

Ah!

It really is Shen Feiyang!

Jiang Yan glanced at the contents of the letter.

Her cheeks quickly turned red.

……

"Why didn't you send me flowers? Why? Why? Why?"

Inside the bedroom of Fuyi Garden, Shen Feiyang lay naked on the bed. Facing Xiong Naijin's interrogation, he grasped two key points and responded, "Faster."

"I can't do it anymore," Xiong Naijin said, shaking her head and wagging her tail.

"What a waste. You think you can spend money?"

"Hmph, you just don't love me at all."

Shen Feiyang took the initiative and gave a live demonstration of what deep love truly means.

"Do you still love me? Hmm? Do you still love me?"

"Mmm...I love it so much..."

……

The next day.

2 month 20 day.

It may seem like an ordinary day, but for the Happy Twist Troupe, today is a big day. The troupe's first play, "Want to Eat Twist? I'll Twist It for You Now," is coming to the end of its performances in the Beijing area.

It happened to be Friday.

Whether it was the star-studded performance at Haidian Theater or the troupe-led performance at the Central Academy of Drama's Yifu Theater, all tickets for the final performances were sold out.

It was a little after six in the evening.

After the performance at Haidian Theater concluded, a closing ceremony was held immediately.

Reporters from multiple media outlets were present at the scene.

First comes the curtain call, which is very special. Everyone in the troupe, including the theater's backstage staff, will come on stage to take a bow and thank the audience for their support.

The lead actors and leaders took turns giving brief speeches, reviewing the journey of "Mahua" from its premiere with only 7 tickets to its final performance.

Next came the awards ceremony.

He Jiong won the first Golden Mahua Award for Best Actor in a Stage Play, Xie Na and Yu Na won the first Golden Mahua Award for Best Actress in a Stage Play, He Jiong, Xie Na, Yu Na, Huang Nina, Zhou Dayong, Wei Xiang and others won the first Golden Mahua Award for Best Stage Play Group, and Haidian Theater won the first Golden Mahua Award for Best Theater.

This award was created by Happy Twist themselves, of course.

The reason for creating this award, according to Shen Feiyang, is to build brand influence and define the voice of the industry. In the future, they can hold the Golden Twist Stage Play Festival to encourage stage play groups from all over the country to participate.

The goal is very ambitious.

Yu Kai felt that it wouldn't hurt to give it a try; could things get any worse than the first round of performances?

After the awards ceremony, all the main creators affixed "Good Luck to the Box" seals to the prop boxes, symbolizing the official end of this round of performances.

……

After the performance at Haidian Theater, the group moved to Yifu Theater.

The process is the same as at the Haidian Theater.

However, Shen Teng, Jiang Yan, and Xiong Naijin also won awards. They won the first Golden Twist Best Newcomer Award for Stage Play, and the others won the Group Award together. In other words, two Group Awards were given out. Similarly, Yifu Theater also won the Golden Twist Best Theater Award.

This can be understood as a way to boost someone's status. After the media reports, Shen Teng and others will be listed alongside He Jiong and others, thus gaining some fame.

……

It was past 11 p.m.

Everything has settled down.

The group then moved to a large private room at Melody KTV to celebrate their victory and also to host a wrap-up party.

Melody is currently a leading brand in the BJKTV industry and has been designated a "Cultural Industry Base" by the Ministry of Culture.

In addition to the troupe members, He Jiong, Xie Na, Yu Na, Tian Youliang, and Shen Teng's girlfriend Wang Qi also attended the celebration party.

Today is Friday, and tomorrow is Saturday, so Wang Qi was able to leave school.

Jiang's mother did not come along.

Apart from Yu Kai and Tian Youliang, who are both Chinese players, the rest are young.

Shen Feiyang, holding a bottle of beer and a microphone, said: "First of all, congratulations on the successful conclusion of 'Want to Eat Fried Dough Twists? I'll Twist Them for You Now' and its total box office of 456 million yuan! Secondly, thank you all for your hard work during this period. I'll start by showing off a bottle to express my gratitude."

"good!!!"

Shen Teng and He Jiong led the applause and cheers.

What followed was a chaotic mix of drinking, singing, bragging, and going crazy.

More than an hour later, everyone was drunk and having a great time.

Shen Teng would hug Wang Qi and occasionally sneak a bite.

The two hadn't seen each other for a week. Although they had a bit of an unpleasantness because of the phone check-up, they were in no mood to hold a grudge after meeting.

Shen Feiyang, Huang Bo, Allen, and others played a drinking contest.

Before he knew it, Jiang Yan had already sat down next to him: "President Shen, can I drink with you? The others can't really hold their liquor."

"Okay."

Shen Feiyang glanced back at Jiang Yan and casually replied.

Jiang Yan glanced down at him. Didn't he see that I was wearing the pendant he gave me?

From the Haidian Theater to the Yifu Theater and then here, Jiang Yan noticed that Shen Feiyang seemed to have never paid attention to her neck...
