Mystery: When the Lost Homelanders Meet the Lost Homeland Call
Chapter 5 Audience
Upon hearing that she would be hunted down by a cult or even an evil god, Audrey turned pale with fright.
Having grown up in a religious environment, she had a deep reverence for the word "God." Yet, that lofty being with boundless power wanted to kill her.
The mere thought of this possibility completely dispelled her idea of choosing the witch's path, not to mention that the witch's path wasn't that appealing to her.
After ruling out the witch, Audrey slowly exhaled, suppressing her imagination of the evil god, feeling as if she had survived a calamity.
"Thank you, Mr. White Tower," Audrey said sincerely. "Without your guidance, I might have gone astray."
"If I hadn't explained it to you, you wouldn't have even considered this," Lynn thought to himself, while nodding slightly on the surface.
He was actually a little nervous inside. He didn't want Audrey to really take the witch's path, so he emphasized the dangers of that path.
However, if she does choose to face the risks, he will offer her kind assistance and use that as a basis to plan his next move.
After some deliberation, Audrey made her choice.
"I choose 'the audience'!" she said firmly.
Although "fortune teller" and "lawyer" sound cool, it's the insightful understanding of people's hearts that resonates with her the most.
"A good choice." Lynn nodded.
Is it the convergence of world lines? Or is it due to her personality? Or are they actually the same thing?
Klein felt a huge weight lifted off his shoulders and felt like he was about to collapse into his chair, but the next second Lynn's words woke him up again.
"Sequence Nine, the Audience."
"The main ingredients are the eyes of a pair of adult Manhar fish and 35 milliliters of blood from the ram's horn blackfish."
"The auxiliary materials are 80 ml of pure water, five drops of daffodil essence, 13 grams of ox-tooth peony powder, and seven-petaled fairy flower."
Without waiting, Lynn recited the recipe directly, and then thoughtfully added instructions:
"The main ingredient is dangerous, so you can add a little bit, but never add too much."
"After drinking the potion, you need to use meditation to gather your spiritual energy and stabilize your mental state. The method of meditation is to first imagine..."
Lynn explained in detail some key points about drinking the potion.
Audrey nodded repeatedly to show that she remembered, and at the same time she felt a warmth in her heart. Mr. White Tower had no airs of a great person at all, and was as approachable and caring as a teacher.
Klein also tried his best to memorize the recipe, as it was the first piece of extraordinary knowledge he had ever learned in this world.
Alger silently compared the recipe he knew with the one he was familiar with, confirming the correctness of the White Tower's statement. Immediately, his mind started working, and he wanted to acquire more knowledge about the recipe.
As everyone knows, potion recipes are as essential in the extraordinary world as eggs are in the fried rice world; they can be exchanged for money or all sorts of resources.
So the White Pagoda is now practically a mobile vault!
Of course, Alger knew very well that the money for the formula was not a big deal; what mattered was his relationship with the White Tower, and making acquaintance with this powerful figure was the real wealth. It would be a huge loss if he were to appear too greedy for the formula and ruin the White Tower's impression of him.
Alger waited a moment, and only spoke after confirming that the others had no intention of speaking:
"Mr. White Tower, I just heard you say that the Witch's Church hunts down pure female witches. What does 'pure female witch' mean?"
Alger belonged to the Church of the Lord of Storms, and during his seafaring life, he also met members of the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom. Regardless of their rank, they all had a tendency to be teachers.
Combined with the White Tower's extensive knowledge, he had reason to suspect that the White Tower might be a member of the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, and possibly a high-ranking member.
Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain why a powerful being would unconditionally share knowledge, and provide it in a gentle and friendly manner, taking into full account the other party's intentions.
After careful consideration based on his knowledge, Alger concluded that this was the only reasonable explanation.
Has Mr. Fool already infiltrated the Church of God? How terrifying!
