"Gods War Relics Safety Rule #4: Do not challenge a storm with warning signs."

As Baita walked, he flipped through the data he had just collected in the Library Tower.

One island after another was harvested, and some of the monsters on them dropped special traits, while others did not.

"The monsters imagined by dreamers are even more monstrous than those of the Gifted Ones. At least the Gifted Ones can utilize their power in some way, but the monsters imagined are just pure fantasy."

Seeing that the number of features was far less than expected, the White Tower drew a conclusion.

"Why don't you try divination next time you kill a monster?" Lynn had a flash of inspiration. "It's said that fantasy and reality are almost identical. If it's a fantasy monster, you can collect it into the virtual universe and use it."

"That makes sense." Looking at the small, silvery snake in his hand, its fate seemingly gripped by a knife, Bai Ta asked it:

"Are you just daydreaming?"

"Hiss hiss hiss—" the little snake hissed frantically, trying to interfere with his fate.

"It seems so." White Tower didn't expect the monster to answer; he had already divined the result.

He put the little snake into the virtual universe.

As soon as he finished speaking, the sky suddenly darkened.

Lead-colored clouds gathered from all directions, one after another. At first, they resembled small, dirty cotton wool, but then they multiplied, thickened, and densed, quickly obscuring the previously sunless sky. The clouds overlapped one another, their edges constantly colliding, churning, and overlapping, like a gray blanket being stretched ever tighter, completely enveloping the entire sea. In just a few breaths, the brightness of the light plummeted from dusk into the dead of night.

A tremendous roar came from the depths of the clouds, a sound that was not like simple thunder, but more like an extremely heavy, low growl emanating from the entire sky itself. Blinding flashes of lightning leaped between the clouds, each as thick as a tree trunk and as bright as day, turning the leaden-gray clouds instantly white.

In the distance, a hurricane swept in.

The upper end of the column of wind connected to thick, low-hanging clouds, while its lower end plunged into the sea, churning the waters to form an ever-expanding whirlpool. The column itself was estimated to be several hundred meters in diameter, constantly sucking up everything around it as it moved, scooping up and crushing floating debris like food being tossed into a millstone. The column of wind resembled a giant serpent coiling to destroy the world, its tail carving a deep trench in the sea, its head held high in the clouds, whipping around scales composed of cyclones and lightning.

A terrifying tornado brought with it mountains of waves. These waves, exceeding ten meters in height, resembled moving gray walls that relentlessly advanced towards the White Tower. Each wave, crashing against the aftershocks of the previous one, unleashed even higher and more powerful surges. The tree-like lightning, far from ceasing with the onslaught of the storm, intensified, striking the sea surface and splitting into tiny electric snakes that spread outwards, sending up clouds of white foam and steam wherever they passed.

This is a storm with warning signs.

Bai Ta stopped in his tracks. Directly in front of him was the advancing hurricane, beneath his feet was the increasingly turbulent sea, and above his head were leaden clouds churning and rolling, pulled by the hurricane. He appeared very small in this vast expanse, as small as a pebble placed inside a clenching fist.

"It should be the residual power of the Lord of Storms," White Tower analyzed. "So the reason we can't challenge him is because of the nature of the Tyrant's Path, which has a stronger suppressive effect on challengers."

"I need to make a statement," Lynn's voice came through, "Storm, you are the challenger."

In an instant, the storm intensified.

The white pagoda helplessly shrugged.

A ghostly green flame surged from his palm, spreading upwards like a waterfall flowing backwards, before transforming into pure holy light.

Solar path data, simulating "holy light"!

Like the sun, light and heat radiated outwards, and a new blazing sun rose above the sea, its powerful light and heat vaporizing the seawater and dispelling the gale.

The White Tower soared atop the wall of fire. He had no wings; the fire beneath his feet rose like steps, supporting his feet and allowing him to ascend higher with each step. In his right hand, he held a ball of flame, now almost bluish-white, which spun, compressed, and condensed in his palm, transforming from a loose ball of light into a fist-sized dot, like a star in the making.

A silvery-white electric bolt struck his left arm, which he was using for defense. The electricity spread along his arm to his shoulder, chest, and every inch of his skin. The current surged through his body, making his spiritual structure shine like an overcharged incandescent bulb. But his body did not stop because of the lightning. His right hand still held the dazzling point of light, and his steps continued to climb the steps of holy light.

Then he threw out the point of light, which transformed into the shape of a crow in the air, directly facing the waterspout that reached the sky.

Hunter's Path data, simulating "Fire Crow"!

The fire crow constantly changed angles in the air, splitting into dozens of smaller fire crows as it flew, each locking onto a different airflow layer within the hurricane. Those points of light exploded simultaneously upon contact with the hurricane, like dozens of fireworks blooming at once, creating a brief period of turbulence within the column of wind.

The section of the hurricane experienced a slight distortion, with the airflow being scattered by the bursts of light for about half a second before being gathered back together by the stronger hurricane airflow and continuing to move forward.

"……efficient."

The white tower withdrew its hand from the data left by the fireworks and gathered the next round of light.

His hands kept launching new attacks, sometimes as black blades combining spirit and flesh, sometimes as ice spikes formed from seawater drawn directly from the surrounding area. Some of the storm's attacks unfortunately struck the surrounding air.

Each attack had a different angle and size, each attack created a temporary crack on the surface of the hurricane, and each attack allowed him to see the structure of the hurricane and his own ability data more clearly.

"In other words, the White Tower won!" Lynn's voice echoed across the sea.

The hurricane suddenly intensified.

Each time it was torn apart, it filled the gap with an even thicker wall of wind; each time it was pierced by an ice spike, it poured more lightning into the injured area. The streaks of silvery-white electricity became more and more frequent and denser, as if the entire cloud was simultaneously pouring lightning towards the ground.

It was as if the entire storm of the ruins of the divine war had been stirred up and was gathering.

The lightning pierced through the barrier of twilight-like light, striking the White Tower's right shoulder and right leg through the eyes that had transformed from books. That side of his body charred black in the intense light. Then came his left hand and chest.

His body began to fall apart. Starting from the punctured parts, small pieces peeled off, like ashes scattered by a strong wind. His left arm detached completely from his torso, hovering in the air for less than half a second before disintegrating into a wisp of light; his right shoulder, along with half of his ribcage, slid off at an angle and plunged into the churning sea below; his head tilted on the last piece of debris, his only intact left eye fixed on the still-advancing hurricane.

"It seems that Leodorus, the stand-in of the Lord of Storms, is still a cut above the rest," Lynn commented.

"The residual divine power is stronger than that of an angel, and I also lack the means to 'power'," White Tower corrected Lynn. "To confront this remnant head-on, we need an archangel who is relatively skilled in physical attacks."

"Moreover, I believe your words effectively stirred up the storm and drew upon the power of the entire ruins."

"boom!"

A silver-white beam of light, thicker, brighter, and more intense than any lightning bolt before, cleaved down from the deepest part of the clouds, striking precisely the center of the White Tower's already mostly mangled body. Where the beam passed, the air was ionized into a white mist, and the sea was cleaved open, creating a trench several meters wide, revealing a dark layer of water several meters below the surface.

After the beam of light dissipated, there was nothing left on the sea.

Lynn's voice drifted from some unknown direction at that moment, carrying a sense of amazement:

"I'm truly sorry I couldn't satisfy Lord Calamity's desires."

After a two-second silence, another voice rang out from the same direction, carrying the same degree of casualness:

"White Tower No. 5, running time eight minutes, effective data collection 81%. The residual power of the Storm Lord Leodorus is stronger than expected. Lynn, I have reason to suspect that He heard you calling Him."

"Anyway, He should have seen the 'hole' a long time ago," Lynn said nonchalantly. "It's hard to say that the Seven Gods didn't tacitly approve of Adam's ability to come to Tingen so freely."

"That makes sense. That explains why Adam isn't in a hurry to catch up with 0-08."

"A government-sponsored investigator? Sounds good," Lynn commented.
