Douluo Continent: The Demise of Yin and Yang, the Dragon God Descends
Chapter 29 First Arrival in Douluo Continent
The teleportation array's faint light dissipated, and the landing point was a wide-open space behind the Haotian Sect.
Surrounded by verdant mountains, the landscape is lush and verdant. A gentle breeze carries the fresh, rich scent of grass, trees, and earth. The God Realm is perpetually bathed in the unchanging, cold light of starlight, eternally silent and still. But the Douluo Continent is entirely different—clouds drift slowly across the sky, mountain winds sweep through the forests, the warm sun gradually sets in the west, and everything in the world exudes a real, vibrant, and passionate life.
Zi Lingtian slowly exhaled a breath of stale air, then took a deep breath of the mountain air.
This was a scent he had never experienced in the divine realm. It lacked the pure, almost hollow coldness of the divine energy; instead, it was a blend of tender grass shoots, moist earth, mountain streams, and the faint fragrance of wildflowers, every breath imbued with the genuine warmth of life.
This is the lower realm.
Tang Wutong stood beside him, her large, pinkish-blue eyes darting around curiously as she surveyed everything unfamiliar before her. She was completely unaware of the undercurrents swirling within her, her eyes brimming with the joy and wonder unique to a child.
"Zi Lingtian, look at that! Isn't that a bird flying in the sky?" Tang Wutong pointed to a gray sparrow flying across the sky, her tone full of disdain. "The birds in the divine realm are all colorful, why is this one so gray and ugly!"
Zi Lingtian turned his head and looked at her carefree and unguarded appearance. His heart suddenly clenched, and he felt a mix of emotions.
She knows nothing.
She was unaware that her biological father had recently contemplated tearing her soul into three pieces. She was unaware that she had nearly undergone a complete personality change, becoming two entirely different people. She was unaware that her unique memories had almost been sealed, altered, and utterly reshaped.
She knew nothing about these things.
Perhaps, I will never know in this lifetime.
"Sixth, Seventh."
A deep, resonant voice came from ahead, interrupting Zi Lingtian's chaotic thoughts.
He concealed all his emotions and looked ahead. Two tall figures were steadily walking towards him. The middle-aged man in the lead was incredibly robust, with strong, defined features, a bronze complexion, and taut, bulging muscles. He had thick eyebrows, large eyes, and a simple, honest smile on his face. His coarse cloth shirt made his arms appear even more muscular. Standing there, he was like a small mountain rooted to the earth, steady and imposing.
Behind the burly man followed an elderly man with white hair and beard, yet a ruddy complexion, vigorous spirit, and sharp, piercing eyes. He was even more robust than the man in front. With each step he took, the ground beneath his feet trembled slightly, exuding an imposing aura.
The newcomers were none other than Niu Tian and Titan.
The two most trusted confidants Tang San left behind in Douluo Continent were ostensibly the hereditary guardian elders of the Clear Sky Sect, but in reality, they were Tang San's spies and spies planted in the lower realm. Both were originally top-tier 100,000-year-old soul beasts: Niu Tian in his true form as the Azure Ox, and Titan in his true form as the Titan Giant Ape. After transforming, they guarded the Clear Sky Sect, living in seclusion for many years, waiting for the return of Tang's descendants to obey his commands.
Niu Tian strode up to Zi Lingtian, deliberately squatted down to be at the child's height, and carefully examined him with his large, round eyes. Then he grinned and said in an exceptionally kind smile, "You must be Xiao Liu, right? You look so handsome, just like your father when he was a child."
Zi Lingtian bowed slightly in a humble manner and said, "Hello, Uncle Niu Tian."
The sound of "Uncle" filled Niu Tian with even greater joy, and his smile deepened. He gently patted Zi Lingtian's head, his gesture exceptionally affectionate: "Good child, so sensible."
On the other side, Titan walked up to Tang Wutong. His usually rugged and tough face showed a rare look of kindness and gentleness, and his eyes softened considerably: "Little Seven, you look exactly like your mother when she was a child, without the slightest difference."
Tang Wutong looked up at the towering old man before her, her large, pinkish-blue eyes filled with curiosity and without a trace of fear: "Uncle Titan, did you really see my mother when she was little?"
Titan threw his head back and laughed loudly, the sound echoing throughout the entire back mountain: "Of course! Your mother was much more mischievous than you when she was little. She would ride on my shoulders every day and play around, and she would always pull my white beard for fun."
These words piqued Tang Wutong's interest, and she immediately stood on tiptoe and reached out to tug at Titan's white beard. Titan didn't dodge; instead, he deliberately bent down slightly to accommodate her, laughing even more heartily and affectionately.
Zi Lingtian stood quietly to the side, watching, a faint smile unconsciously curving her lips.
Niu Tian and Titan are ultimately different. They are loyal to Tang San, but their love for Tang Wutong is genuine and heartfelt. In their eyes, Tang Wutong is not only Tang San's daughter, but also Xiao Wu's child, the descendant of the little girl they watched grow up and cherished. This warmth can never be forcibly erased by any calculation or power struggle.
"Let's go, I'll take you into the sect and settle you in first." Niu Tian straightened up, waved his hand, and said crisply, "The master has already made arrangements. From now on, Titan and I will take care of you in the Haotian Sect. Cultivation isn't urgent; just adapt to the environment slowly. The spiritual energy in the Douluo Continent is far less abundant than in the God Realm. Your soul power will be suppressed to the third ring level by the laws of the plane. You'll get used to it after a while."
Zi Lingtian nodded silently, having already anticipated this.
The lower realm naturally suppresses god-level power. Although he and Tang Wutong are currently in the form of six-year-old children, their foundation is divine power, far exceeding the soul power system of Douluo Continent. It is normal for them to be suppressed to the level of a level 30 Great Soul Master.
This is merely the surface appearance. As long as he uses the power of Yin and Yang or the origin of creation, he can break free from the suppression at any time, but the risk is too great. Once exposed, Tang San will definitely notice something amiss.
Being right under Tang San's nose, keeping a low profile and enduring hardship is the only way to survive.
The Haotian Sect sits atop a mountain peak, its entire complex of buildings exuding a magnificent and ancient grandeur. A winding mountain path, paved with bluestone, ascends, flanked by evergreen pines and cypresses. The mountain breeze rustles through the trees, creating a symphony of sound that blends with the distant roar of a waterfall, resulting in a truly idyllic mountain landscape.
Niu Tian and Titan led the two children through the mountain gate and walked along the central axis of the sect, casually introducing the past heritage and layout of the Haotian Sect along the way.
"The Haotian Sect was founded by your grandfather. Back then, it was one of the top sects in the entire Douluo Continent." Niu Tian spoke with a hint of pride. "Although it has now gone into seclusion and does not concern itself with outside conflicts, the sect's foundation and resources have not diminished in the slightest. You don't need to worry about safety or cultivation resources while you are cultivating here."
Zi Lingtian followed quietly behind, neither interrupting nor making a fuss, but his gaze carefully swept over every building, every passage, and every guard's position in the sect. He was meticulous, quickly categorizing and memorizing everything he saw and heard, leaving nothing out.
This is where he will spend the next ten years.
It wasn't really a home; at best, it was an exquisite cage that Tang San had tailored for him.
"Sixth Brother, your accommodation is in the east wing, and Seventh Brother will live in the west wing. The two courtyards are right next to each other, separated only by a small courtyard, making it convenient to come and go." Titan said, pointing to the elegant courtyard in front of him. "If you need anything, just come to me and Niu Tian. Don't be shy."
"Thank you, Uncle Titan," Zi Lingtian said politely, showing perfect manners.
The two were quickly led to their respective rooms. Zi Lingtian's room wasn't luxurious, but it was clean, elegant, and tidy. The bed was soft and clean, the desk had a complete set of writing brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones, and a pot of unidentified wildflowers sat on the windowsill. Warm sunlight streamed in through the window, casting dappled, soft light on the wooden floor.
Zi Lingtian walked slowly to the window and pushed open the wooden window.
Looking up, the mountains stretch endlessly, layer upon layer like rolling black waves, with clouds and mist swirling among them, gilded by the warm sun. The scenery is breathtaking, yet so beautiful that it creates a sense of distance.
"Purple Spirit Heaven!"
A familiar, clear shout came from next door.
Zi Lingtian peeked out and saw Tang Wutong leaning on the windowsill next door, half her body sticking out, waving vigorously at him. Her long, light blue braid swayed gently in the breeze, her big eyes sparkling, her face brimming with uncontainable joy.
"Isn't your room beautiful? My room is huge! The bed is huge too, much bigger than the bed in my divine realm!" Tang Wutong's voice was full of childlike excitement, unable to hide her joy.
Looking at her vibrant appearance, Zi Lingtian smiled gently, "Mine is fine too."
"Come out quickly! Come out quickly! Let's go play in the middle yard!"
After Tang Wutong finished speaking, she retreated back into the house. A moment later, she ran out of the house and skipped and hopped into the small courtyard between the two courtyards, full of energy.
Zi Lingtian chuckled helplessly, lifted her foot, and stepped out of the room.
