The ultimate master in the city
Chapter 21 The Boss
These five little devils are not fed with ordinary blood, but rather through a hundred times more sophisticated ghost-eating cultivation. It is likely that the person behind them practices the Five Elements Ghost Arts and the Five Ghosts Moving Mountains, which belong to the evil sects.
My father always said that evil and unorthodox people are malicious and should not be trifled with unless absolutely necessary.
Thinking of this, Zhou Fengchen called out to those around him, "I am Zhou Fengchen, a disciple of the Dayan Sect. Could you please do me a favor?"
When it comes to religious lineage, Zhou Fengchen is also confused, only having heard his father mention the name before his death.
However, the car continued to drift forward, and all around was quiet; no one responded.
Zhou Fengchen froze for three seconds, his breathing becoming heavy. This was too disrespectful. He put the proprietress down and whispered, "Stay put!"
"What are you going to do with it?" the landlady asked, choking back tears in fear. "The car's been driven for years, it's worthless now, I don't want it anymore!"
"Shut up!" Zhou Fengchen snapped, then chased after him, cursing, "Damn it, you still dare to mess with me! I'll see!"
He used his agility to reach the back of the car in a few leaps, then pressed his hands down on the back seat, shouting, "Stop!"
boom!
The car landed on the ground, and the five little devils couldn't budge it an inch no matter how hard they tried, so they bared their teeth and pounced on him.
Zhou Fengchen sneered and took three steps back, his hands forming a hand seal as he drew a line in the air: "Xuan Si, the Dislike Technique! Go!"
Suddenly, a strange, hazy "disgusting" aura appeared in the air, and with a hum, it pushed forward. The five little ghosts crashed into it head-on, and couldn't even last a second. They screamed and fell to the ground!
"The Great Ultimate (易) gives rise to the Two Forms (两仪), the Two Forms give rise to the Four Symbols (四象), the Four Symbols give rise to the Eight Trigrams (八卦)..."
A harsh voice suddenly came from the bushes not far away: "Dayan? I hate you old-fashioned Taoist sects who only know how to refine pills and play with fists!"
As the voices spoke, a young man with long hair and dressed in black suddenly darted out. He opened and closed a strangely shaped umbrella in his hand, capturing five little ghosts. Then, he kicked out with both feet in mid-air at a frightening speed.
"Wu Er, Xuanwu refuses!"
Zhou Fengchen, unaware of his opponent's strength, lowered his stance and raised his hands, preparing to receive a kick. However, the man feinted, twisted his body, and jumped into the nearby bushes, disappearing from sight.
"Uh!" Zhou Fengchen stopped practicing and was stunned for a while, feeling that it was too inexplicable. This guy made a lot of noise but did little.
After confirming that the other party wasn't planning a sneak attack, he turned back to greet the shop owner, only to find that this woman was far too clever; hiding in the bushes, she was using a coded signal: "Stop! First, tell me when you started working at my shop?"
"Oh... the day before yesterday, right? What happened?" Zhou Fengchen asked.
"No! You hesitated!" The proprietress said gravely. "Are you a ghost in disguise?"
"Boss lady, let's stop playing. If you're not leaving, then I am?" Zhou Fengchen was quite annoyed.
"No, no..." The proprietress hurriedly ran out of the bushes, grabbed Zhou Fengchen's clothes, and walked with some difficulty.
……
On the way back to the city, the proprietress was still a little worried and asked, "Are you sure that old devil won't come to our shop again?"
Zhou Fengchen nodded: "Yes, I'm sure. His soul has been completely destroyed!"
"Will it be dangerous for me to go home and sleep?" the landlady asked.
Zhou Fengchen scratched his head: "No way... what danger could there be?"
"You're hesitating!" The landlady looked ahead, fidgeting slightly. "You're going to take me home, but I'm a little scared."
"Okay!" Zhou Fengchen agreed casually. His mind was already on the person who had just raised the five ghosts. Who knew what the other party was thinking? He ran away halfway through the fight. Could it be that he was afraid of him?
The proprietress lives in a medium-sized residential area near the train station in the city. She has been living alone since her husband died.
After the car entered the residential area and parked, Zhou Fengchen followed the landlady forward. He looked around and compared it with his own residential area. It felt like heaven and earth. It was almost midnight, but there were still many people coming and going in this residential area. Most of the seven or eight buildings had their lights on, and there were even several security guards patrolling back and forth.
The landlady lives on the fourth floor of a building. When you open the door, a fragrant aroma wafts out. After turning on the light, you can see that the room is quite large, with neatly arranged furniture and a clean and tidy floor.
"Please sit for a while, I'm going to take a shower." The landlady had recovered by now, poured Zhou Fengchen a cup of tea, and went to the bathroom by herself.
Zhou Fengchen took a sip of tea, then got up and wandered around aimlessly. He found himself particularly fond of looking at the rooms. He realized that he had been living in a cave all these years, and his life was worse than that of a dog.
As they strolled to the restroom, they heard the sound of running water. Zhou Fengchen glanced over instinctively and couldn't help but gasp.
The bathroom door was semi-transparent, vaguely revealing the proprietress's graceful figure as she swayed from side to side while showering, making her incredibly alluring.
Thump, thump...
His heart started pounding. He rubbed his nose and tiptoed closer, just about to take a closer look, when he suddenly heard the landlady cough softly inside. Startled, he quickly ran back to the sofa and sat down, pretending to play with his fingernails.
A short while later, the water in the bathroom stopped, and the sound of slippers pattering slowly approached.
Zhou Fengchen looked up and then his head went "buzz".
The proprietress wore a semi-transparent light gauze dress that accentuated her stunning figure. Her long, wet, wavy hair was loose, and her heavy makeup had been removed, making her look very beautiful and elegant.
"Is it pretty?" The proprietress smiled, a blush spreading across her face.
"Beautiful!" Zhou Fengchen swallowed and nodded.
The proprietress walked over, her body trembling slightly. She placed her hands on the sofa behind Zhou Fengchen, trapping him inside. "Do you like a woman like me?"
Smelling the landlady's fresh breath and gazing at her beautiful face so close to his, Zhou Fengchen was almost intoxicated and couldn't help but exclaim, "I love it!"
The proprietress's face flushed, her eyes almost brimming with tears, and she said softly, "I also like capable young men like you. It makes me feel so safe. Tonight... stay, okay?"
Zhou Fengchen froze for three seconds, then his mind cleared. "Oh no!"
He pushed the landlady aside, stood up and ran, opened the door, and slammed it shut with a bang.
"Uh!" The proprietress was completely dumbfounded.
……
"If the heart is pure as ice, one will not be alarmed even if the sky collapses; one will remain calm amidst all changes; one's spirit will be serene and tranquil; one will not be tainted by worldly dust or defilement..."
Zhou Fengchen ran downstairs, reciting the Taoist "Purifying Heart Mantra" while wiping his nosebleed. He felt that the landlady was simply a demon, almost making him lose control. If he broke his vow, he was afraid he would be close to death. His father's words were always very accurate.
He had no interest in appreciating the night view along the way. He took a taxi straight to his rented room and took a cold shower for half an hour after returning to his room before he could calm down.
It was past 1 a.m. when he finished rinsing off. He lay in bed thinking about all sorts of things for a while, then drifted off to sleep. He seemed to have a dream in which a bunch of women were running around...
Just then, a muffled voice came from somewhere: "Song Xiaofeng... Song Xiaofeng..."
The voice was ethereal and gentle, like that of a woman.
"Who is that calling?" Zhou Fengchen wondered instinctively as he turned over.
"Song Xiaofeng...Song Xiaofeng..."
The woman's voice kept calling out, seemingly possessing a unique magic.
