Chapter 31 A Show of Force

Ji Lin frowned, still somewhat dissatisfied, and speechless at Zhou Yi's sweeping generalization.

Hearing her words, many students showed indignation. Those who passed the assessment to become students of Shrek Academy were carefully selected from various countries across the continent, and were definitely elites among their peers. But in Teacher Zhou's mouth, they became trash and idiots.

"Anyone who's been in a fight since registration started, stand up." Zhou Yi's next sentence shocked the entire class once again. These students had all just been admitted; who would fight in the academy for no reason? And even if they did, who would admit it?

While the whole class remained silent, two people stood up: Wang Qiu'er and Wang Dong'er.

They weren't being honest; they just felt that this Teacher Zhou was a bit unconventional.

Of the hundred students in the class, only the two of them stood up, instantly becoming the focus of attention like cranes among chickens.

The whole class was shocked to see that the two sisters looked almost identical. What was going on? The two sisters were fighting on the first day of school. What grudge did they have?

Even Zhou Yi's eyes twitched.

"Just two?" Zhou Yi raised an eyebrow and broke the silence.

"What a bunch of useless trash. Don't you know what it means to be a coward who doesn't dare to cause trouble? Everyone except those two, get out and run one hundred laps around Shrek Square. Anyone who doesn't finish will be fired."

Upon hearing this, the whole class erupted in uproar. It was only the first day of school, and classes hadn't even started yet, and they were already being punished for not fighting. Who could accept that?

Immediately, one of the students stood up. "Teacher, I'm not having this! Why should we be punished for not fighting?"

Zhou Yi said calmly, "Because I said it. If you're not happy, you can get lost. As the class teacher, I have the right to expel any student. I'll give you one minute. If I don't see you all start running around Shrek Square within one minute, you're all expelled."

As she spoke, a terrifying aura suddenly surged from her body, and the powerful fluctuations of her soul power made every student present feel as if they couldn't breathe. Rings of soul power then rose from beneath Zhou Yi's feet.

Two yellow, two purple, and two black spirit rings—six rings in total—radiated an indescribable aura of power. This Teacher Zhou was actually a Soul Emperor-level expert, and possessed two ten-thousand-year spirit rings. It's no exaggeration to say that if she wanted to deal with these hundred elementary school students, it would be a piece of cake.

Of course, Ji Lin and Wang Qiu'er might be able to put up a fight, but they won't be the ones to take the lead.

These students were, after all, just freshmen. Under such pressure, none of them dared to resist. They all slunk up and walked out. Ji Lin also got up and walked out. It was just running; it was nothing to him. Ji Lin knew that even if he argued with Zhou Yi, he wouldn't be expelled. After all, his talent for the Ultimate Flame was undeniable, and Shrek Academy owed him a favor. But as he said before, there was no need to go against the teacher over such a small matter and end up using the favor Shrek Academy owed him to settle this. It wouldn't be worth it.

Zhou Yi released and then immediately retracted her spirit ring, watching the students leave the classroom with a blank expression.

"Just a reminder, you only have one hour. If you haven't run one hundred laps by the end of the hour, you'll be considered unqualified. This is your first test after enrollment; those who fail will be expelled."

Upon hearing her words, the students immediately sped up, quickly leaving the classroom and running onto the playground.

Wang Qiu'er and Wang Dong'er exchanged a glance. At this moment, only the two of them remained in the classroom. Zhou Yi's expression seemed much gentler, and she waved to them.

Wang Qiu'er and Wang Dong'er walked over together.

Looking at the two of them, Zhou Yi nodded in satisfaction and said, "Not bad, at least there are two kids with some spirit. Tell me, who were you fighting with, and why were you fighting?"

Before Wang Qiu'er could speak, Wang Dong'er interjected, "Teacher, we are roommates, and we had a conflict over a small matter."

Zhou Yi seemed quite interested and said, "Oh? Not only sisters, but also roommates. If you play well, there will be competition, which can also promote mutual progress."

Zhou Yi seems to have misunderstood the relationship between the two.

Neither Wang Qiu'er nor Wang Dong'er offered any explanation; instead, they both felt a chill run down their spines, and cold sweat broke out. This Teacher Zhou had been incredibly domineering. And indeed, she didn't play by the rules! Her way of thinking was completely different from normal people.

A smile, more painful than a grimace, appeared on Zhou Yi's face, and her aged features seemed to twitch slightly.

"Fighting is a good thing, but I don't really like my students fighting each other. Remember, next time you fight, fight someone from another class. Shrek Academy's rules have always been lax, precisely to encourage students' individuality. We usually turn a blind eye to fights. But there are certain restrictions, let me explain. Senior students are not allowed to provoke or attack junior students; if caught, they will be expelled immediately. However, junior students can challenge senior students, but this requires a teacher to be present to witness that it is not a case of senior students bullying someone. As for students in the same grade, they can fight as they please, as long as no one is killed, the academy will not interfere. Fighting is one of the best ways to improve one's own qualities."

"If you all make it to your second year, you can go to the Soul Arena to compete. The academy even gives out rewards for winning a lot. But for now, you can go down and run."

Wang Dong'er was taken aback. "Teacher, didn't you say we both have backbone?"

Wang Qiu'er was also full of doubt.

Zhou Yi still smiled. "But I never said you didn't have to run! You guys got into a fight with your roommates right at the start of the semester, you're really something. Since you're so capable, the assessment should be a bit more difficult than others, especially since you have to share the hardships with your classmates. Your finishing time for running 100 laps is the same as everyone else's. Oops, a while has already passed!"

Wang Dong'er wanted to say something, but Wang Qiu'er pulled her outside. Although Wang Dong'er was annoyed, she still followed her out.

"Why are you pulling me? Teacher Zhou is a complete lunatic this week."

Wang Qiu'er said calmly, "Knowing she's crazy, why are you still talking to her? Can you beat her, or can you out-argue her, or do you want to be fired?"

Wang Dong'er fell silent; she was indeed a little scared by Zhou Yi's actions.

Shrek Square is right outside the freshman teaching building. Shrek Square isn't very big; a complete circuit is about 300 meters long.

For the average person, running a hundred laps around the square is by no means an easy task.

However, it's not actually that difficult for these young students who have a foundation in Soul Masters. As long as they run seriously, they can finish the race in an hour.

After Wang Qiu'er and Wang Dong'er joined the running group, several boys immediately tried to curry favor with them, after all, they were two beautiful girls. However, the two ignored the boys; they had already fallen behind by a quarter of an hour and needed to catch up.
