Chapter 26 Shrek Academy (Part 2)

The senior student from the outer academy in charge of the test picked up the information Ji Lin had filled out and saw that her age was 12 and her soul power level was 39.

There are three statues in the front row. The one in the center is an old man wearing glasses, with a smiling face. He is of medium build and slightly overweight, and looks like a nice guy.

Zhang Lexuan introduced to Ji Lin: "The one in the middle is Flander, the founder and first dean of Shrek Academy. The one to his left is Yu Xiaogang, who created the foundation for teaching various martial soul departments at Shrek Academy and is known as one of the ten core competencies in the martial soul world."

The woman on the right is Liu Erlong, Grandmaster's wife. They, along with Dean Flander, form the Golden Triangle. If Dean Flander created Shrek Academy, then Grandmaster is the true soul of the academy, and it was he who single-handedly nurtured the Shrek Seven Devils.

The master's statue appears to be a somewhat thin middle-aged man, while Liu Erlong is a graceful middle-aged woman.

Behind them are seven statues.

Among the seven statues, Tang San is the most handsome, with long blue hair flowing down his back. Zhang Lexuan explained to Ji Lin, "From here, the paths diverge. To the left is the Spirit Branch, and to the right is the Soul Guidance Branch. Turn left from the statue, and the road is still wide enough for four or five carriages to walk side by side. There is a sign on the side of the road that reads "Lakeside Path".

Poseidon Lake is indeed very large. Following the lakeside path southward, it took almost fifteen minutes before turning west. After another fifteen minutes, the path began to narrow, and a wide rectangular plaza came into view. A sign for Shrek Plaza also appeared nearby.

Behind Shrek Square stood rows of tall school buildings, each a different color, primarily white, yellow, purple, and black. Looking further north from Shrek Square, one could see a cluster of gray school buildings.

Zhang Lexuan pointed to the teaching buildings on the other side of the square and said, "The colors of the teaching buildings represent different grades, which are distinguished by the colors of the spirit rings. White is the teaching building for freshmen, like the lowest-level ten-year spirit rings. Yellow is the teaching building for the second and third years of the outer academy. Purple is the teaching building for the fourth and fifth years. Black is the teaching building for the sixth year. Being able to walk out of the black teaching building means you can already get your graduation certificate from the outer academy."

"Those gray teaching buildings in the distance belong to the Soul Guidance Department. In terms of area, the Soul Guidance Department occupies about one-third of the main teaching area, while the Martial Soul Department occupies two-thirds. The white freshman teaching building is located on the southernmost side and is closest to the lakeside path. Ji Lin and his companion walked from the south side of Shrek Square and arrived at this teaching building.

Because it was the time for new student enrollment, the new student teaching building was particularly lively, with some new students who had passed the assessment registering and reporting for duty here.

Under Zhang Lexuan's guidance, Ji Lin's registration and enrollment went very smoothly. Ji Lin paid the tuition himself, which cost a whopping ten gold soul coins for one academic year, not including meals. After receiving their dormitory keys, two sets of school uniforms, and a white freshman badge, Ji Lin followed Zhang Lexuan out of the freshman teaching building.

As Ji Lin passed by a bulletin board, he saw the information on it.

The notice read: Class Teacher of Freshman Class 1: Zhou Yi; Class Teacher of Freshman Class 2: ...

Ji Lin frowned. Because he had registered early, he was assigned to Class 1 of the freshmen.

Recalling the original novel's description of Zhou Yi's personality and her teaching philosophy, Ji Lin felt a bit of a headache.
