Chapter 79 The World of LEGO Bricks - 6
Loki lured Thanos to Earth and then ran away, taking the Infinity Stones and hiding them somewhere.
The Avengers were furious after reading the letter, especially Thor.
Despite his anger, Thor was secretly pleased that his brother had finally done something right. Although, well, it was infuriating to have him pass the buck to them, he had really improved a lot compared to before.
The Avengers discussed the matter with Nick Fury for a long time, and after confirming with Vega, they learned that Vega would not be staying there for long. They decided to send Thanos and Nebula to Asgard for imprisonment.
Earth is worried about retaliation from Thanos's minions, but Asgard doesn't care about that.
Thor summoned the Bifrost to destroy the donut-shaped spaceship, and then escorted Thanos and Nebula back to Asgard.
After he left, Hulk scratched his head and hesitated, "We solved the apocalyptic crisis? It's that simple?"
Captain America: "Mr. Angel, will Thanos trigger a crisis like those two worlds?"
Vega: "Don't ask me, I don't know anything."
If Thanos were to obtain all the Infinity Stones, given his ambition to rule the universe, it would indeed create a terrible mess.
However, Loki stole the Infinity Stones. Even without him, the Avengers should be able to defeat Thanos, so it shouldn't be considered a crisis.
Could Loki be an imposter, and the real culprit behind the crisis?
That doesn't seem likely. Loki has had the Infinity Gauntlet for quite some time now; if he really wanted to do something, he should have done it already.
The group discussed amongst themselves, unable to believe that the danger had truly vanished.
But there are no clues at the moment, and no one knows what to do.
Ultimately, Nick Fury made the decision: everyone should remain vigilant, and S.H.I.E.L.D. would closely monitor any unusual activity around the world.
After declining Nick Fury's invitation, Vega chose to stay at Avengers Tower and see if he could find an opportunity to search for the New York Sanctum.
It seems that neither S.H.I.E.L.D. nor the Avengers know of Kamar-Taj's existence, and he cannot rashly reveal their presence if Kamar-Taj exists in this world.
Robbie Reyes had a younger brother to take care of, so he left his contact information and then left.
Iron Man arranged a room for Vega and then went about his business. Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, and others entertained him and asked him to share more about other universes.
Vega talked a lot about local customs and traditions, but he didn't say anything about major events or important figures in other universes.
Every universe is different. The more you know, the easier it is to be misled and make misjudgments, which can then lead to irreversible consequences.
After explaining this principle to the group, they thought about it carefully for a while and found it to be true, so they stopped asking questions.
Captain America and Hawkeye said goodbye to train and organize their equipment, while Black Widow took Vega on a tour of Avengers Tower.
On the other side, at the top of the Roxon Energy Group building, a circular portal appeared silently, from which Gwen, dressed in a black and white spider-like bodysuit, and Bana, dressed in a fiery red bodysuit, emerged.
"Wow!" Before the two could even see their surroundings clearly, they were instantly transformed into block figures.
After a moment of panic, the two immediately retreated back into the spatial portal and returned to their normal appearance.
After observing this world for a long time from the other side of the portal, they discovered that it was all made of building blocks, and they understood why they had changed earlier.
After checking back and forth several times to make sure there was no danger, the two felt relieved and entered this world. Gwen then closed the portal.
Bana: "Haha, Gwen, you look so cute right now, just like those Lego minifigures!"
Gwen: "Don't laugh at me, you're the same way."
The two joked and played around for a while. Then, Bana walked to the edge of the rooftop, looked down at the pedestrians and cars, and exclaimed, "This world is so amazing! There's actually a world like this."
Gwen: "That's normal. I've heard there's a world that's all paint and lines."
Bana: "Really? I definitely have to go see it sometime. This world seems so normal. Is the teacher really in this world?"
Gwen: "Miguel personally searched and confirmed it, so it shouldn't be wrong."
A few hours earlier, Vega suddenly disappeared in front of them and Monica, startling the three of them. They quickly realized that Vega had probably gone to save other worlds.
Monica was very worried, but there was nothing she could do but silently pray that her husband would return safely.
Gwen didn't want to wait like last time, so she secretly took Bana to Spider-Man headquarters and asked Jessica Drew and others for help. Miguel O'Hara, the founder of the League of Spider-Man, personally took action and quickly locked onto this world.
Bana: "Where do we find a teacher?"
"I don't know either. Let's find out about this world first." Gwen said, looking at the fire door behind her. Bana looked in the same direction.
The two sensed someone rapidly approaching from behind the fire door, and Gwen even had a strange feeling of discovering her kind.
Soon, the fire door was pushed open, and a blocky figure dressed exactly like Gwen jumped out.
The Ghost Spider was startled to see Gwen dressed exactly like her, but she quickly recovered and assumed an attack stance, demanding, "Who are you? Why are you impersonating me?"
Bana looked at Gwen, who raised her hands to indicate that she meant no harm: "Don't be nervous, we mean no harm."
"Who are you?" Ghost Spider was even more surprised to hear this, as the imposter's voice sounded exactly like his own.
"I am also Gwen, we come from other universes." Gwen said, taking off her hood and head covering.
"You, how come you look like... cough, I'm not Gwen! Tell me, what's your scheme in impersonating me?!" Ghost Spider was so shocked by Gwen's appearance that she almost misspoke. She couldn't believe that the other person was her, nor could she believe that the other person came from another universe.
That guy over there must be that Imitation Master imposter! Damn it, when did he find out my real identity?!
Gwen: "I'm telling the truth, and I can prove it to you."
Ghost Spider: "Don't try to prove me wrong with some so-called experience, Anthony. You can't fool me!"
"Who is Anthony? Well, whoever he is, I have other ways to prove it." Gwen said, pressing the watch on her left wrist, and the portal reappeared.
The ghost spider tensed up even more, and she snapped, "What are you doing?!"
"Don't be nervous, you'll understand in a moment." Gwen stepped into the portal and then returned to her normal appearance.
The Ghost Spider looked up at Gwen inside the portal, speechless with astonishment: "Wow, so tall, so big..."
