This is an old residential area called Chenguang Community. It used to be the staff quarters of a state-owned textile factory, and it's over 20 years old. The paint on the walls is peeling off, and the area is filled with sycamore trees and roses.

He's quite a lucky little fellow.

"Sanhua?" Gui Gui's eyes lit up immediately. "Who is Sanhua?"

"Sanhua is the boss cat in our neighborhood."

Grandpa Wang, who was standing next to him, chimed in, "The old man is seventy-two this year."

He used to be the head of the security department at a textile factory. He had a loud voice and was full of energy. Whenever he talked about Sanhua, his face would be beaming with pride.

"That's no ordinary cat, it's incredibly clever, and everyone in our neighborhood loves it."

The moment the topic of Sanhua (a type of flower) came up, the elderly people enjoying the cool air perked up, launching into a lively discussion that sounded like a storyteller.

"You wouldn't believe it, last month a thief came to our neighborhood at 3 a.m. to steal electric bikes. Guess what?"

"What's wrong?" The two children stared wide-eyed, listening intently.

"The thief had just pried open the lock on Mr. Zhang's electric bike and was about to ride it."

Suddenly, a small pebble flew out of nowhere and hit him right in the eye.

He yelled in pain and fell straight off the car, his arm hitting the curb and fracturing!

Grandpa Wang slapped his thigh and said...

"The noise was so loud that it woke up the security guard upstairs. When he came down to check, he found the thief lying on the ground crying, so he was taken straight to the police station!"

Later, the police said that the thief was a repeat offender who had stolen more than a dozen electric bikes, but they never expected to be caught in our neighborhood.

"And there's more!" Grandma Li added.

Last week, Zhang Jie's grandson in Building 3, who is only three years old, took advantage of Zhang Jie's time to pick up a package and climbed onto the balcony by himself with a small stool.

Half of his body was sticking out of the window. We were watching from downstairs, terrified out of our wits. We didn't dare shout loudly, afraid of scaring the child.

Just then, Sanhua went crazy and started scratching at Sister Zhang's door. The scratching was so loud that Sister Zhang could hear it from inside the elevator.

Hurry up and go back inside. I managed to pull the child down from the balcony just in time. If I had been ten seconds later, the child would have fallen!

"There are also people throwing things from high-rise buildings. In the past, there were always people in our community who were inconsiderate and would throw things downstairs, such as apple cores and mineral water bottles. No matter how many times we told them, they would not listen."

The calico cat was perched on a large rock in front of the cat's den.

This cat is really fat, round and plump, probably weighing about 15 or 16 pounds. Its fur is black, yellow and white, shiny and smooth, clearly indicating that it eats well.

A small piece is missing from its left ear; it's a scar from a fight with another stray cat, which makes it look a bit fierce.
