The Great Tang Dynasty's Trans-Dimensional Conference: Little Rhinoceros Arrives

Chapter 468 The Little Princess Prepares to File a Complaint with the Emperor

The Great Tang Dynasty established the Lizheng Hall.

Chang Le was carrying a pregnancy-stabilizing medicine that had just been prepared by the Imperial Kitchen into the inner chamber. Empress Zhangsun had begun to recuperate due to Li Shimin's strong opposition, so Chang Le had been helping to handle most of the affairs these past few days.

"Mother, I think you can't just lie there like this all the time. You should get up and move around when you need to." Chang Le put the medicine aside.

"It's all your father's fault," Empress Zhangsun said reproachfully, then propped herself up with her hands and sat up. Chang Le quickly stepped forward to help her.

As her belly grew bigger day by day, Empress Zhangsun's eyes were filled with the unique maternal love.

"I had only been up and moving around for a short while yesterday when your father found out and nagged me for a long time." Empress Zhangsun couldn't help but laugh when she thought of Li Shimin's worried and scared look yesterday.

Chang Le shook her head helplessly, "This can't be blamed on Father; it's mainly a matter of Feng Yu."

Although Empress Zhangsun had undergone prenatal checkups in later generations, Li Shimin was not entirely at ease. He would summon the imperial physician to examine Empress Zhangsun every few days, and the final conclusion was that the fetal position was unstable.

This also put Li Shimin on high alert, and he would rush back to the Lizheng Hall to be with Empress Zhangsun as soon as he finished handling government affairs each day.

And this meant that Chang Le inevitably had to eat dog food for several days.

"Oh well, let's not talk about this anymore. Things will get better after this period of time," Empress Zhangsun said with a smile.

"Mother! Sister~"

Just as Chang Le was about to serve Empress Zhangsun her medicine, she suddenly heard the little princess's voice outside the palace.

"Oh, it's Sizi who's back."

Empress Zhangsun quickly waved her hand, "Yes, put the medicine down first, Chang Le, go out and take a look."

"good!"

Chang Le got up and quickly walked to the outside of the palace, where she bumped directly into the two little princesses and Mingyue.

"Sizi, you've arrived." Chang Le glanced back but didn't see Lin Fan.

"Waaaaah, big sister~"

When the little princess saw Chang Le, it was as if she had seen a savior. She headbutted Chang Le and threw herself into her arms.

"What's wrong? Sizi, why are you crying? Where's Brother Lin Fan?" Seeing Sizi so upset, Chang Le thought something had happened to Lin Fan, and her heart clenched instantly.

"Brother Lin Fan has gone out," Cheng Yang quickly explained from the side.

"He went out, so is he alright?" Chang Le asked anxiously upon hearing this.

Chengyang shook his head, looking bewildered. "No."

"Phew~ that's good." Chang Le breathed a sigh of relief.

"Waaaaah, big sister, Lin Fan sneaked out! He even lied to me!" The little princess started to accuse Lin Fan of his "evil deeds" with tears streaming down her face.

After hearing the little princess's words, Chang Le understood the whole story. She first wiped away the tears on her face, and then comforted her, "Si Zi, Brother Lin Fan is just going out. Didn't he say it was inconvenient for him to take you with him?"

In Chang Le's opinion, Lin Fan is so good to the little princess that he would definitely not refuse her request under normal circumstances. He would only do so when the conditions do not allow it, which should be considered understandable, right?

Chang Le could understand, but the little princess was stubborn. When she saw that her older sister didn't speak up for her first, but instead defended Lin Fan, the little princess's tears, which she had just stopped, started flowing again.

Empress Zhangsun, who was inside, also heard the little princess crying and immediately sent someone out to inquire. Upon seeing this, Chang Le picked up the little princess and walked into the inner chamber.

"Sizi, what's wrong? Who bullied you?"

When Empress Zhangsun saw the little princess crying with tears streaming down her face, she was heartbroken.

"Mother~"

The little princess saw Empress Zhangsun and immediately reached out to hug her. Seeing this, Chang Le had no choice but to take off her shoes and put her next to Empress Zhangsun.

"What's wrong with Sizi?" Empress Zhangsun looked at Mingyue and Qiuxia in confusion.

Before the two could speak, Chang Le immediately recounted what she had just learned. In her account, the little princess's behavior instantly became unreasonable.

Upon hearing this, the little princess stared wide-eyed at her older sister with disbelief, her young heart once again suffering a devastating blow.

"Sister, you're really looking forward to this picture~ I don't like you~"

The little princess pouted and pointed at Chang Le; she was practically ready to explode.

Faced with the little princess's accusation, Chang Le lowered her head somewhat guiltily, but remembering that she had just told the truth, she immediately straightened her chest, raised her head, and met the little princess's gaze, saying:

"I'm not a traitor! This is the truth, Chengyang, Mingyue, don't you agree?"

The three men from Chengyang exchanged glances without speaking; silence itself was the best answer.

Seeing that no one present spoke up for her, the little princess simply started acting like a spoiled brat, "I don't care, you are you, you are~"

Empress Zhangsun raised her hand to gently soothe the little princess's emotions. According to what Chang Le had just said, the little princess was indeed in the wrong. Thinking of this, she spoke up for Lin Fan.

"Sizi, your older sister is right. This situation really can't be blamed on your brother Lin Fan."

The little princess never expected that she would be facing this situation instead of coming back to complain.

"It's possible...it's possible...."

The little princess sobbed and kept saying "but" for a while, but she really didn't know what to say.

The stalemate lasted for quite some time before Li Shimin returned from court.

"Guanyinbi, how are you feeling? Are you feeling better today..." Li Shimin said as he pushed open the door and came in, only to find that the room was full of people.

"I have met Father."

"This servant greets Your Majesty!"

A group of people hurriedly bowed to Li Shimin.

"Hmm? Chengyang, Sizi, you're back! Where's that kid? I didn't see him when I came in." Li Shimin left the room and looked around but couldn't find Lin Fan.

"Father, Brother Lin Fan didn't come today," Chengyang said as he ran up to Li Shimin.

"Oh, is that so?" Li Shimin was somewhat disappointed to learn that Lin Fan hadn't come.

As soon as Li Shimin sat down by the bedside, he immediately noticed that the little princess looked like she had just been crying. His gaze swept over the group of people before he asked with some anxiety, "Sizi, what... what's wrong?"

The little princess pouted, and tears were about to fall again, so Empress Zhangsun quickly comforted her.

Seeing this, Li Shimin was even more bewildered, but his reaction was exactly the same as Chang Le's at the beginning: "This...this...could it be that something happened to Lin Fan?"

But that doesn't make sense. If Lin Fan really had an accident, it's impossible that only the little princess would have this expression, right?
