Chapter 159 Return to Asgard

The newly grown "skeleton" began to absorb, compile, and recombine frantically. Wanda's crimson energy surged from beneath her skin, forming a spherical force field with a diameter of five meters around her.

Wanda closed her eyes and focused entirely on the changes in her body.

What is the origin of Chaos Magic? Her awakening was aided by the Holy Lord, and after being baptized by the Book of Darkness, her Chaos Magic was no longer the same as the original chaos in the universe. It also incorporated a large amount of dark energy into the disorder.

Now, with the energy pool of the forge flowing through her, Wanda has touched the very core of the purest chaos magic.

Reality weaves.

It's not about manipulating probability, creating illusions, or simply manipulating existing matter and energy. It's about directly intervening in the underlying code of reality, editing at the level of "what things are," much like the energy of a pure reality gem.

She opened her eyes and pointed to a floating meteorite three meters away.

The meteorite vanished. Not destroyed, teleported, or hidden. It never existed. Wanda rewrote the record of reality in this area, erasing the fact that "there was a meteorite here" from the cosmic narrative.

Then she wrote it back.

The meteorite reappeared in its original location, with even the micro-meteorite impact craters on it being exactly the same.

The Holy Lord had been watching from the side the whole time. The Reality Gem on his right index finger flashed briefly, just once, not a resonance, but a confirmation.

It has been confirmed that what Wanda just did and the core function of the Reality Stone are based on the same principle.

"Continue," the Holy Lord said. "Until you can't hold on any longer."

Wanda didn't waste any words and closed her eyes again. The energy of the forging field continued to pour in, and her chaotic magic constantly triggered new dimensions of perception during its evolution. With each layer opened, the burden on her body doubled. Sweat slid down her forehead, evaporating in the high temperature of the crimson energy field.

Shendu took the Space Stone from his sleeve. Blue light spread in his palm, not for use, but to create a spatial anchor around Wanda.

The area she was rewriting was growing larger and larger, and if left unchecked, the aftershocks of this localized reality reconstruction could spread to other areas of the forge. Ethan wouldn't be happy to see his workbench being altered by a human apprentice.

The energy pool's output reached Wanda's limit at the fortieth minute.

Her nose began to bleed. The crimson field flickered irregularly, and cracks appeared in several places on the newly grown framework.

"stop."

One word. Wanda's magic field contracted and returned to its original position, and all the released energy returned to her body within half a second.

She knelt on one knee, gasping for breath. Blood dripped from the tip of her nose onto the cold metal floor of the forge, turning a dark brown from the residual heat.

Under the Lord's command, the energy pool in the forge shut down arrays three through seven. The vibrations ceased, and silence returned.

Wanda looked up. A faint crimson glow lingered in her eyes, fading away after a few blinks.

"Master, I saw it."

"7

"What do you see?"

"Reality is not solid. It has seams."

The Lord did not comment on her statement. He stepped forward, pulled a clean handkerchief from his sleeve, and handed it to her. Wanda took it, wiped her nosebleed, folded the handkerchief, and put it in her pocket instead of throwing it away.

"The power output will be increased by 15 percent at the same time tomorrow."

"Yes."

Wanda stood up. Her legs were still trembling, but her back was straight.

In the distant starry sky, Ethan's enormous figure finally passed through the interstellar passage and disappeared into the gravitational field of another star sector. Before he left, he added a note to the forge's operational log.

Level Note: Limited to the Celestial Group only.

The message contained only one sentence: "That human's energy signature has undergone a structural mutation in the past forty minutes. Pay attention."

The forging workshop underwent reinforcement for seven days.

Over seven days, Wanda's body was shattered and reassembled no less than twenty times. Chaos magic backfires on the carrier during the evolution process, with alternating disintegration and regeneration at the cellular level, pushing her body's threshold up with each round.

At the end of the seventh day, Wanda walked out of the radiation range of the energy pool, wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, and knelt down on one knee before the Holy Lord.

"It's done."

The Holy Lord did not test her results; there was no need. He controlled the energy output of the forging grounds throughout the process, and he was aware of every iteration of chaotic magic within Wanda's body.

"Get up, it's time to go back to Asgard."

Wanda swayed slightly as she stood up, but managed to stay upright. She hadn't eaten for seven days and had only drunk water twice. The forge's energy was barely sustaining her bodily functions, but the hunger surged up as soon as she left the energy pool's coverage area.

Before she could recover, the Holy Lord activated the Space Stone in his palm, and blue light tore open a rift leading to Asgard.

Before Wanda entered, she glanced back at the forging yard. The neutron star's shell glowed with a cold, eerie blue light in the distance, and the massive energy circulation continued to follow its unchanging trajectory.

This place changed her, but she had no time to lament; the spatial rift waits for no one.

At the end of the Rainbow Bridge, Heimdall stood in his usual spot.

The moment his golden eyes saw the spatial rift appear, his hand didn't touch the giant sword beside him. He recognized this way of tearing space apart. In the entire Nine Realms, only one person opened a door in this style—leaving no room for compromise, no buffering, so precise that they didn't even bother to smooth out the spatial folds.

"Lord." Heimdall bowed, a standard Asgardian greeting, even more profound than the one he gave Loki.

The Holy Lord emerged from the rift, with Wanda following behind. The spectral energy on the Rainbow Bridge briefly became disordered upon contact with the residual Forging Field radiation on Wanda's body, causing the bridge surface to flicker twice before returning to normal.

Heimdall glanced at Wanda, sensing that the energy within her was even more violent and chaotic, and the chaotic feeling of the Chaos Magic that had not yet surfaced emanated from her.

"Where is Loki?" the Lord asked.

"The king is in the palace, watching a play."

"Watching a play."

"Yes. He hired a theater troupe to perform the story of how Loki saved Asgard, and this is the fourth time this month."

""

Wanda's lips twitched, but she held back.

The Holy Lord couldn't bear it any longer: "He's still the same. What about Thor?"

"Thor is training in the arena. Every day."

"Walk."

Wanda followed the Holy Lord across the square. The Asgardians who saw the Holy Lord reacted in unison: they made way, bowed their heads, and remained silent.

The palace doors were open, and from within came a middle-aged man's passionate words: "—At that very moment, Loki, Asgard's wisest, most handsome, and most underrated prince, single-handedly held back the Dark Elves' army!"

When Wanda went inside, she saw the whole thing.

The main hall had been converted into a small theater. Loki sat on his throne, a glass of wine in his hand, legs crossed, watching intently. The actor on stage wore a cheap Loki costume, his green cloak trailing on the ground, and one of the horns on his helmet askew.

A dark-haired woman, clad in a black and green bodysuit, sat on the steps next to Loki, watching the performance on stage with a blank expression. Hela. The goddess of death in Asgard, Odin's eldest daughter.
