Unreliable Sword Immortal.

"As expected of the Emperor Yu, he's incredibly wealthy!"

Lu Chaoding checked the supplies that Emperor Yu had given him. Most of these supplies were exclusive and already bound to Lu Chaoding. The exclusive building blueprints were mostly limited to use within the Great Yu Dynasty. Lu Chaoding could not bring them back to his sect's headquarters, nor could he use them in Tianyun City, Tianyun Prefecture.

However, Lu Chaoding didn't care about that. He thought it would be good to find a suitable place in Yudu City to use these resources and build a palace for himself. As for the righteous alliance of the martial arts world, he planned to arrange it in Tianyun City, and that would not change.

As for the rewards such as the Sky-Patrol Ship, Lu Chaoding received a receipt, which he still needed to collect at a specific location.

Lu Chao was very satisfied with his gains, but he was not content.

Next, he became like a "sycophant," praising the little empress relentlessly in an attempt to gain more benefits.

This tactic actually worked very well. The young empress was delighted and said, "Sect Leader Lu, you are quite remarkable. You truly deserve to be called a hero of our time. I am very pleased. Tell me, what else do you need? I will not hesitate to provide any support I can!"

Lu Chao didn't stand on ceremony and said, "I want the blueprints for the Hall of Heroes, a special sect building."

"The blueprints for Valhalla?" The young empress raised an eyebrow and said, "There seems to be a blueprint for Valhalla in the imperial treasury. How about this..."

With a flick of her wrist, a parchment scroll appeared before her. The scroll appeared to be a map. After slowly unfurling it, the young empress glanced at it and said, "Six thousand miles north of Yudu, in the Chaotic Fire City on the northern border of Tianzhong Prefecture, an ancient ruin appeared a month ago. The ruin is shrouded in blood mist, and within it lies a strange ancient castle. According to scouts, this ancient ruin is very likely an ancient battlefield from a distant interdimensional war, and the strange castle likely harbors a powerful creature that appears every few days, taking pleasure in slaughtering the surrounding powerful beings." "With formidable strength, capable of fighting extraordinary beings, the Xuanhuo Sword Sect, a second-rate sect closest to the ruins, has already been wiped out. The government offices established by this dynasty have also been destroyed, and all three thousand government guards have been slaughtered. Sect Leader Lu's cultivation is profound; why not travel to Tiankui Prefecture to quell this chaos for me, investigate the ancient ruins, and find information about the interdimensional war? If possible, there are still two sects and one faction in the Northern Border that are unyielding and have not yet joined the alliance; Sect Leader Lu, you can take them all in as well. Upon your return to the court, I will certainly hold a banquet to welcome you back and present you with the blueprints for the Hall of Heroes."

"What kind of task is this, so complicated?"

Lu Chao raised an eyebrow, and immediately received a system notification: "Emperor Yu has issued you a mission. This mission is passively accepted and cannot be refused. The mission details are as follows: Please go to the Chaotic Fire City in the Northern Border of Tianzhong Prefecture, defeat the unknown ancient castle creatures, quell the chaos in Chaotic Fire City, investigate the ancient ruins of Chaotic Fire City, obtain information about the interdimensional war, and subdue the Wuxiang Sword Sect, Xiantian Sword Sect, and Gusong Sword Sect in the Northern Border of Tianzhong Prefecture. There are seven mission objectives in total. Upon completion, you will receive Emperor Yu's favorability and the blueprints for the special sect building, the Hall of Heroes. Mission Tip: The faster you complete the mission, the higher the favorability you will gain!"

"Goodness, this is quite a big task. Little Yu Huang, you're quite good at ordering people around!"

Lu Chaoding had anticipated that the Emperor of the Universe would issue a mission. Perhaps "assignment" would be a more accurate description, since he had no right to refuse and could only passively accept it!

The system notification continued: "Ding, the occasionally unreliable system has activated, updating the tracking mission with altered content: Defeat the unknown castle creature, defeat the unknown castle creature, defeat the unknown castle creature, defeat the unknown castle creature, defeat the unknown castle creature, defeat the unknown castle creature, defeat the unknown castle creature. There are seven mission objectives in total. Completing all of them will reward you with Emperor Yu's favor and the construction blueprints for the special sect building, the Hall of Heroes..."

"Hmm? This system really is unreliable. Are there really seven mission objectives?"

Lu Chaoding appeared calm on the surface, but inwardly he was complaining. After thinking for a moment, he agreed, and as for when to do the task, that would depend on his mood.

After issuing the task, the young empress tossed the parchment to Lu Chaoding, then waved her hand, claiming to be tired, and signaled everyone to leave.

Lu Chaoding then left the hall, and soon he saw the "Grand Eunuch" again.

The "Grand Eunuch," whose name Lu Chaoding didn't yet know, was arrogant. Standing outside the golden beaded curtain, she suddenly said upon seeing Lu Chaoding, "Sect Leader Lu, although the Emperor values you highly, I still have a piece of advice for you: don't be too arrogant. Remember, there are always people more capable than you, and there's always a higher level to reach. Don't think you're invincible. If I wanted to kill you, it wouldn't be too difficult, and I could do it without anyone noticing!"

"Huh? Are you threatening me?"

Lu Chao frowned. He didn't like this NPC and didn't want to deal with her. He turned to his wife, Lan E, and whispered, "Madam, do you know this Grand Eunuch? Is she very powerful?"

Lan E looked serious and didn't say much, only urging Lu Chao to hurry up and leave.

After leaving the Golden Yuan Hall, Lan E bowed to Lu Chao and whispered, "Sect Leader Husband, if I'm not mistaken, that Grand Eunuch should be the renowned Shadowless Sword God Yuan Feiying from thirty years ago. Kunlun Island's records describe her as cold and ruthless, with unparalleled swordsmanship. She was hailed as the most promising sword genius in the past century to reach the peak realm. I never imagined she would already be a peak realm expert. Sect Leader Husband, unless absolutely necessary, do not provoke her. Her Shadowless Sword Technique is extremely powerful and can kill without leaving a trace."

"oh!"

Lu Chao nodded obediently.

Lan E continued, "And there was the Grand Marshal in the hall earlier. He should be Chen Baji, known as the God of War of the Great Yu. According to the records of Kunlun Island, he once followed Yu Fanfan and was a sword master who had experienced countless battles. His specific profession is unknown, but he was an upright and honest person, someone worth befriending..."

"Who are some trustworthy people to befriend?"

Lu Chao narrowed his eyes. At this moment, in his field of vision, the "person worth befriending" that Lan E had mentioned was walking towards his Great Xuan Ship.

This tall, white-haired general had clearly caught up on purpose. Behind him followed the mighty General Zuo Xuandao, who stared at Lu Chaoding with an unfriendly expression, while Lu Chaoding's expression was very calm.

Upon meeting Lu Chaoding's gaze, the old man laughed heartily, then cupped his hands in greeting, and his body soared into the air. In the next moment, he was actually on the Great Xuan Ship, standing in front of Lu Chaoding.

"Huh? You actually got on my ship!"

Lu Chaoding was quite surprised.

The Great Xuan Ship is both a ship and a sword. When controlled by him, it is essentially a flying sword. It is impossible for ordinary people to get on board.

"That's light-footed skill!"

Lan E's eyes lit up, and she immediately leaned close to Lu Chao's ear and whispered, "Sect Leader, this person must be a Sword Saint. His lightness skill has reached a divine level; he can even chase after flying swords!"

Grand Marshal Chen Baji, a level 100 expert, glanced at Lan E, his expression unchanged. He then bowed to Lu Chao and said, "Sect Leader Lu, you have achieved such cultivation at such a young age, which I truly admire. However, as the leader of the Sword Cultivator Alliance, your strength is only barely convincing. At least the three top-tier sects will not recognize your position as leader, much less obey your orders!"

Lu Chao returned the bow and said, "It doesn't matter, this alliance leader doesn't care about such things!"

"Is that so?" Chen Baji thought for a moment. "Originally, this position of sect leader was meant for my disciple. He had already touched the threshold of the peak and would soon reach level 91 and become a peak-level expert. But you took the position from me."

Lu Chao retorted, "Your disciple is the Divine Might General Zuo Xuandao? So, you've come here to avenge your disciple?"

Chen Baji shook his head and said, "That's not the case. Actually, I came to find you because I wanted to form a master-disciple relationship with you. Sect Leader Lu, would you be willing to become my disciple?"

"What? You want me to become your apprentice?" Lu Chao immediately shook his head. "I don't want to!"

"Sect Leader Lu, don't rush to refuse. First, hear about the benefits of becoming my disciple." Chen Baji put his hands behind his back and said leisurely, "I possess an ancient swordsmanship lineage, and my profession is the Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sword Saint. This profession is passed down through a single lineage. If you become my disciple, I can teach you the swordsmanship and make you the next Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sword Saint!"

"No need, I don't lack sword inheritance." Lu Chao remained unmoved, thinking to himself, what kind of Great Sage Equaling Heaven Sword Saint is he? Can he be more powerful than my profession, "Shangqing Morality Yin Yang Wuji Yellow Spring Green Lotus Great Evolution Taiji Great Luo Many Treasure Sword Immortal"?

Chen Baji remained amiable and continued, "Sect Leader Lu probably doesn't know that if you receive my true teachings, you will immediately gain my complete strength. You will inherit my level and skills and directly become a peak-level expert. If that happens, your position as the alliance leader will be secure. Even those old guys from the Qinglian Sword Sect, Daluo Sword Sect, and Hongchen Sword Sect will not dare to be arrogant when they see you."

Lu Chaoding became somewhat interested: "Really?"

Chen Baji nodded and said, "Yes! The characteristic of the Qitian Sword Saint is perfect inheritance. To be honest, I have old injuries and my life is not long. I have been searching for a suitable successor for many years. With the assistance of the Sword Realm Walker, Sect Leader Lu will surely become a great figure in the future. I am willing to help Sect Leader Lu reach the pinnacle. As long as Sect Leader Lu agrees to become the Marshal of the Great Universe and assist the Empress in unifying the Sword Realm, I am willing to give him all my life's power."

"What a pity!" Lu Chao slapped his thigh. "It's a pity you've come to the wrong person. This sect leader really wants your power, but it's not worth it. This sect leader's profession is a very strong but unreliable sword immortal, and I don't want to become the Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sword Saint."

"Is that so?" Chen Baji frowned, but quickly smiled again. "It's too early to make a decision now. I can still live for a while. If Sect Leader Lu changes his mind, he can come to me at any time. Also... I have another favor to ask."

"Please speak, General!"

"My disciple, Zuo Xuandao, is quite capable. Although he is not suitable to be the leader of the Sword Cultivator Alliance, could we give him a position so that he can share some of the affairs with Sect Leader Lu?"

"That's no problem. Then let General Zuo be the vice leader! Oh, I almost forgot, our righteous sect already has a vice leader, so let General Zuo be the protector, the first protector!"

"Very well, it's a deal!" Chen Baji gestured, and General Zuo Xuandao bowed in response from below.

"Zuo Xuandao, you are now the first protector of the Sword Cultivator Alliance... the righteous sect of the martial world. From now on, you will follow Sect Leader Lu and obey his orders!" Chen Baji said slowly.

"yes!"

Zuo Xuandao bowed respectfully, daring not to disobey.

"Hmm!" Chen Baji nodded and chuckled, seemingly quite satisfied. He then cupped his hands in a respectful gesture to Lu Chao and said, "I entrust my unworthy disciple to Sect Leader Lu's instruction. Please take good care of him! I have nothing more to say now. Sect Leader Lu, farewell!"

"Goodbye, goodbye!"

Lu Chao bowed respectfully, and then Chen Baji jumped off the Great Xuan Ship and strolled away leisurely.

General Zuo Xuandao, with a cold and stern expression, then used his divine speed technique to walk through the air and follow the Great Xuan Ship. Seeing Lu Chao looking over, he said, "Alliance Leader, if you have any requests, please feel free to give them!"

"Fine, if you want to come along, then come along!"

Lu Chao thought to himself that Zuo Xuandao was at least a level 90 master, and had the potential to break through to the peak realm. If he was willing to be his follower, it wouldn't be a bad thing.

A moment later, Lu Chao emerged from the palace.

He now holds a superior position as a first-rank official of the Great Yu Dynasty. He only needs to show his alliance leader token, and all the patrolling soldiers and officials must bow and serve him with care.

With this kind of treatment, Lu Chaoding could do things much more easily.

Half a day later, he occupied a vacant lot in the south of Yudu City and used the resources funded by the Emperor to build a private council hall, a landmark flag, and other buildings, creating a small building complex with a manor-like feel.

The landmark flag bears the four characters "Martial Arts Righteous Sect," and the plaque in the council hall also bears the four characters "Martial Arts Righteous Sect." This place could be considered the headquarters of the Martial Arts Righteous Sect, but Lu Chaoding only regarded it as a private estate.

"General Shenwei, the headquarters of our righteous martial arts sects is located in Tianyun City, Tianyun Prefecture. It hasn't been built yet, but there's no rush. The martial arts tournament for the righteous sects is held irregularly depending on my mood! You must understand that I, the leader of this alliance, am very humane in my management. There's nothing for you to do right now, so you can go and slack off!"

Lu Chao sat leisurely in the large chair at the head of the council hall, speaking to Zuo Xuandao.

Ever since Zuo Xuandao left Tianyuan Palace, he has been following him like a bodyguard.

Zuo Xuandao clearly didn't understand Lu Chaoding's words. Just as he was about to say something, two figures suddenly rushed into the council hall.

These two people were Jia Zhengyi and Ren Daniu.

"Alliance Leader, we've been searching high and low for you!" Jia Zhengyi wiped his sweat and entered the hall. He then showed Lu Chao a large poster and said, "I've finished compiling information on all the sects and factions within the alliance. Alliance Leader, please take a look. We now have four righteous sects joining us. Many who previously proclaimed their support for you have run away, and I've noted them all down. In addition, I've also compiled a list of evil sects and demonic cults. There are a total of 236 evil sects and demonic cults that need to be eliminated. What do you suggest for this?"

Lu Chao looked at the "big-character poster" and indeed it contained the names of many sects. Many of them were marked with "Demonic Sect" and "Evil Sect", including the three first-class sects: Qinglian Sword Sect, Hongchen Sword Sect, and Daluo Sword Sect.

After observing for a while, Lu Chao exclaimed, "Good heavens! Chief Jia, you're ruthless! With your instigation, the whole world is now filled with evil sects and demonic cults! Not counting our reliable and morally upright sword sects, we only have two third-rate sects left as our allies. Our righteous martial arts world is probably doomed!" (End of Chapter)
