Unreliable Sword Immortal.

Chapter 142 Peach Blossom Sword God

"This sea is called the Hongchen Sea!"

Jiang Youxian, who is level 30 and has unlocked the world map, is currently introducing world geography to Lu Chaoding.

"According to the world map, the Hongchen Sea is the center of the Hongchen World. Beyond it lies a ring of continents, divided into twelve states: Tianyun, Tiancong, Tianyun, Tianlu, Tianfeng, Tianzhong, Tianshui, Tianhuo, Tianma, Tianxing, Tianfeng, and Tiankui. These twelve states are roughly like twelve game regions, each vast in area, and each containing a Great Sword Teleportation Monument. After opening the world map, one has the privilege of choosing a Great Sword Teleportation Monument once a month. The twelve states are separated by mountains or rivers and seas. Beyond the twelve states, there are numerous areas marked with question marks, occupying more than two-thirds of the entire world map. The Hongchen World is incredibly vast. At our current speed, traveling straight ahead, we estimate we won't reach Tianyun State until dawn!"

"This journey is quite long. I'm so glad I have a Heavenly-level Sky Patrol Ship."

Lu Chao sighed. The top speed of the Heavenly-class Sky-Patrol Ship could reach about two thousand miles per hour, while the straight-line distance from Hongchen Seven Realms Mountain to Tianyun Prefecture was about twenty thousand miles. Theoretically, it would take at least ten hours to arrive. Without this ship, it would have taken who knows how long to travel those twenty thousand miles.

Zhao Weike raised his hand and said, "Traveling at night isn't very safe. If you're not in a hurry, Brother Ding, try to travel during the day and rest at night! Xiao Jiang, could you check if there are any safe areas along the way where we can stop?"

Jiang Youxian actually nodded and said, "Traveling at night is indeed not safe, and the world map's positioning function will also be turned off. I suggest resting at night. Let me see the resting places along the way... There are many unnamed islands, but it seems that only Peach Blossom Island has a name. On the world map, Peach Blossom Island is marked as the secluded place of the Peach Blossom Sword God, Manatee. At our current speed, we can reach this island before dark."

"Peach Blossom Island?" Zhao Weike's eyes lit up. "Brother Ding, how about we camp out on Peach Blossom Island tonight?"

"I don't care!" Lu Chao thought to himself. Anyway, he had his own cave dwelling, so no matter where he rested, he would just be AFK farming in the material dungeon.

"Alright, Brother Ding, just keep the Sky Patrol Ship moving straight ahead in its current direction. I'll give you directions when we get close to Peach Blossom Island!"

"Okay!" Lu Chao was saying this when he suddenly saw a large black ship in the sea below.

The large ship looked as if it had just undergone a fierce battle; it was badly damaged, capsized, and began to sink.

On the wrecked ship, someone was actually waving and shouting at him.

"Ding! You have found a victim!"

Lu Chaoding received a system notification, as did Zhao Weike and Jiang Youxian. Jiang Youxian said, "There are victims down below, Brother Ding, should we go take a look?"

Zhao Weike said, "In this vast sea, what a coincidence to encounter victims? Let's go take a look; there's a high chance there's a storyline quest involved."

Lu Chao nodded and controlled his patrol ship to reduce its speed and altitude, quickly arriving at the wrecked ship.

At this moment, he could clearly see that on the sinking ship, an NPC was waving his arms for help.

As he got closer, Lu Chaoding could even see his attribute information.

This is a young male NPC named Sea Urchin. He is only level 20, has no profession, and looks ordinary with no distinguishing features.

"The ship was attacked by a sea monster. All the kidnappers are dead, and I'm the only one left. Please save me! My name is Sea Urchin. My father is the island lord of Peach Blossom Island, Sea Cow. He's the number one expert in the eight thousand li sea area. If you can get me to Peach Blossom Island, my father will definitely thank you properly!"

The sea urchin cried out for help, its expression a mixture of surprise and excitement.

Lu Chao immediately received a system notification: "Ding, the quest [Rescue the Sea Urchin] has been triggered. The quest requires you to rescue the sea urchin and return it to Peach Blossom Island. Upon completion of the quest, you will receive a gift from the island lord, Manatee, and the Peach Blossom Sword God storyline will be unlocked! Note: You can enter Peach Blossom Island after accepting this quest, but this quest can only be completed by one person. Once someone completes the quest, the others will immediately fail the quest and be teleported out of Peach Blossom Island."

"Ding! The occasionally unreliable system has activated, updating the tracking mission with altered content: Rescue the sea urchin and return it to Peach Blossom Island. Completing the mission will reward you with ten gifts from the island lord, the Manatee, and unlock the Peach Blossom Sword God storyline!"

"Tenfold reward..."

Lu Chaoding looked at Zhao Weike and Jiang Youxian and said, "You two received the system notification too, right? Abandon the mission, don't accept it. Let me handle the sea urchin!"

After saying this, Lu Chaoding steered the patrol ship to the side of the sunken ship, beckoned to the sea urchin, and said, "Come on aboard!"

The sea urchin was overjoyed and thanked him profusely. He used both his hands and feet to quickly climb onto the large patrol ship.

"Thank you, benefactor! May I ask where you are headed? My home, Peach Blossom Island, is just ahead. Would you be so kind as to come and visit me, so that my father can express his gratitude?"

Lu Chao retorted, "Then let's go to your house. Give me directions!"

"Thank you so much, my benefactor!"

The sea urchin looked delighted; it was just like any other NPC. After that, it wouldn't speak unless asked a question, and would stand blankly at the bow of the patrol ship, pointing in the direction of Peach Blossom Island.

This guy was quite far from home; it took Lu Chaoding's patrol ship a full two hours to arrive at Peach Blossom Island.

At this time, the sky darkened, and everything became very quiet. Regular wild monsters began to hide, and nocturnal beasts were about to appear.

However, the giant patrol ship was unable to fly into Peach Blossom Island, as it was blocked by an air wall.

Lu Chaoding was not hindered and, led by the excited sea urchin, easily entered Peach Blossom Island.

Jiang Youxian and Zhao Weike, however, were unable to enter Peach Blossom Island because they also sensed the invisible wall.

"You two stay here and watch the ship, I'm going to collect my reward!"

Lu Chao waved to Jiang Youxian and Zhao Weike, then followed Haidan along a path through the peach orchard, and soon arrived at a small courtyard.

Immediately, an old man with white hair and a white beard sprang out from the small courtyard. His face was cold, and he stood in front of Lu Chao with his hands behind his back, shouting, "Shameless scoundrels, release my child at once, or I won't hesitate to unseal the divine sword and slaughter you all!"

"Father!" the sea urchin exclaimed. "You've misunderstood. He wasn't a kidnapper, but the benefactor who rescued me. All those kidnappers were eaten by the sea monster; they're all dead!"

"So that's how it is!"

When Peach Blossom Sword God Hai Niu saw that his son was safe and sound, his expression quickly softened.

This is clearly all part of the plot.

After exchanging some bland lines, the manatee bowed to Lu Chao and said, "Thank you for saving my son, chivalrous sir. This is just a small token of my gratitude, and I hope you will not refuse it."

After saying this, he took out a jade box from his sleeve and presented it to Lu Chaoding.

Lu Chao reached out and took the box, immediately discovering a pill called the Nine-Turn Minor Yuan Pill inside. Consuming it would instantly fill the character's level-up slot with 9000 cultivation points.

"this one?"

Lu Chaoding couldn't help but show a look of disappointment.

The manatee paused, then reached into its sleeve and said, "Thank you for saving my son, chivalrous sir. This is just a small token of my gratitude; please don't refuse!"

This time, however, he pulled out a skill book.

Lu Chaoding took a look and found that it was the skill book for the universal three-star combat skill [Flying Flower Slash].

"I have absolutely no need for combat skills!"

Lu Chaoding couldn't help but shake his head again.

"Thank you so much for saving my son. This is just a small token of my gratitude; please don't refuse it!"

As if a bug had occurred, Peach Blossom Sword God Hai Niu uttered the same words again. He reached into his sleeve again, but this time he couldn't find anything. After a moment of surprise, he took a jade pendant from his waist and gave it to Lu Chaoding.

This is a Samsung universal pendant, a peach blossom charm.

"Thank you for saving my son, sir. This is but a small token of my gratitude..."

The Peach Blossom Sword God continued, loosening his belt, removing his outer robe, taking out his sword, and then taking out the Qian Yuan Token...

Soon, he stripped down to only his shorts, gave away all his belongings, and finally took out the five-star sword god weapon, the Peach Blossom Divine Sword, which barely made up ten thank-you gifts.

The sea urchin, an NPC, was stunned and exclaimed, "Father, what's wrong with you? You've given away the Peach Blossom Divine Sword!"

The manatee smiled and said, "What are mere material possessions? How can they compare to my son?"
