Unreliable Sword Immortal.

Chapter 125 Extraordinary Greatsword Technique

Zhao Weike walked slowly up the mountain steps with his hands behind his back.

Seeing the current state of the sect's headquarters and the numerous disciples who had entered the sect, he felt a great sense of accomplishment.

The tall Jiang Youxian walked beside Zhao Weike, curiously examining the nine-zhang-tall stone lion, and said, "This Giant Soaring Mountain is quite interesting..."

"That's right!" Zhao Weike exclaimed. "The fact that the Reliable Sword Sect is what it is today owes a great deal to this elder!"

Jiang Youxian asked, "What merits have you made?"

"Don't you know? All the disciples in this sect were recruited by me!" Zhao Weike patted his chest, but then suddenly shook his head, "What a pity, what a pity..."

"What's a pity?"

"It's a pity that good disciples are becoming increasingly difficult to recruit."

Why?

"Why? Because the disciples who initially joined the Reliable Sword Sect were all there for me and Brother Ding; they were all quite skilled. But now, the players who want to join are all after that idiot Zhang Defa. He sings, dances, and raps, doing nothing productive. What's the use of recruiting him? My Reliable Sword Sect isn't an entertainment company. Recruiting them would only lower the sect's standards. This elder is now thinking that my Reliable Sword Sect needs to set thresholds for recruiting disciples. Better to have fewer but better ones. Only the best, not the trash. Only experts like you are worth this elder's persuasion... and recruitment!"

"Oh!" Jiang Youxian's expression was blank, appearing quite naive. Suddenly, she added, "Brother Ding is a top expert ranked number one on all three lists, and Zhang Defa is a popular streamer. It's understandable that some players join a reliable sword sect because of them, but are there others who are here for you?"

"Haha!" Zhao Weike laughed, "You have no idea of my reputation. To be honest, many masters joined the Reliable Sword Sect because of me, and they all want to challenge me!"

"You want to take advantage of me, don't you!" Jiang Youxian said calmly. "Zhao Qunzi, who jumped off the cliff, I know a little about your deeds. There are quite a few people who want to take advantage of you!"

"How can you speak so rudely, young lady?" Zhao Weike sneered. "Let me tell you the truth, I was a beta tester. If it weren't for bad luck and being tricked by Brother Ding, I'd be a top-tier player by now, even better than you. Believe it or not?"

Jiang Youxian calmly replied, "I don't believe it!"

"You don't believe me? You actually don't believe me? You have no idea how powerful this elder is..."

Zhao Weike and Jiang Youxian walked and talked, and soon passed through the main hall of the mountain gate and arrived at the mission hall.

The fellow disciples along the way told them that the sect leader and the tree-planting elder were in this mission hall.

The door to the mission hall was closed. Zhao Weike glanced at the small, temple-like hall, thought for a moment, then went up and banged on the door, shouting, "Brother Ding, is Brother Ding there? Something terrible has happened! I've spotted pirates! They're coming to attack the island! We need to analyze this and take precautions! Listen to me, this is no small matter; we need to take it seriously!"

After knocking for a while, the door opened, and Zhang Defa was the first to peek out from the small hall, shouting at Zhao Weike, "What are you shouting for?"

Lu Chao followed closely, frowning, and asked, "Were the pirates wiped out?"

"They wiped them out, and even sank the ships! It was Jiang Youxian who did it. Brother Ding, let me introduce you. This lady standing next to me is Jiang Youxian. She might be the strongest player I tricked into recruiting."

"Hmm!" Upon hearing this, Lu Chaoding looked at Jiang Youxian and saw that the female player had her eyes half-closed, her expression was wooden, and she seemed a bit naive.

She asked, "You're Lu Chaoding, the number one on all three lists?"

"It's me!"

"What are you and this fat guy doing in that little hut? Why is the door closed? Could it be... fencing?"

Zhang Defa roared, "Is it any of your business?"

Lu Chao didn't want to answer and directly changed the subject, saying, "If I'm not mistaken, the pirate ship you encountered came from about 30 miles to the east. It's said there's a pirate stronghold there, and the pirate ship was sunk?"

Zhao Weike said, "Yes, it's sunk!"

"Why sink it? Wouldn't it be better to just take it?"

Jiang Youxian said, "You're so naive. The patrol ships are all bound to specific individuals; if your identity doesn't match, you can't control them. What's the use of stealing them?"

"We'll put it outside as a decoration!"

Jiang Youxian was taken aback, then frowned and said, "Huh, I didn't even think of that!"

Lu Chao waved his hand and said, "I know about this. I'll go to that pirate stronghold to investigate. If there's nothing else, you can go ahead and do your work. Defa and I have things to do!"

"Wait a moment!"

Zhao Weike rubbed his hands together, a fawning smile on his face, and said, "Brother Ding, I heard you gave Defa a set of mechs. You see, I'm an elder too, you can't be biased, can you?"

"You want a mecha too?"

"No need for that. Mechs are all flashy and I don't like them. If possible, Brother Ding, could you get me something different, like a tank or a spaceship? That would be great! I, Zhao Weike, am just one opportunity away from becoming a peerless master, and I think Brother Ding can definitely give me that opportunity!"

As they spoke, Zhao Weike took out a handful of gold coins and said, "Brother Ding, these are a token of my respect!"

"Um……"

Lu Chao glanced at Zhao Weike's handful of gold coins, too lazy to take them. He thought for a moment and said, "I do have some rare items here that can make you stand out, but..."

"What is it?"

"It might be a bit difficult for you to level up to 31, and the Tianquan and Diqi columns might disappear."

Zhang Defa raised his hand and said, "I don't have the Heavenly Power and Earthly Deity sections now, but I have the Evil God Encyclopedia and Technology Scroll sections. I just don't know where to get the Evil God Encyclopedia and Technology Scroll."

Zhao Weike thought for a moment and said, "Without the Heavenly Authority, it's difficult to find the Earthly Deity. It's alright, I can accept this!"

Lu Chao nodded and said, "Wait for me here tomorrow morning. I'll give you some treasures. Defa, come on, let's continue!"

"Okay, bro!"

Zhang Defa waved to Zhao Weike, signaling him to leave, and then ruthlessly closed the small door of the mission hall.

Lu Chaoding then continued completing tasks with Zhang Defa.

Before he knew it, he had been scrolling until the next morning. Zhang Defa fell asleep in the mission hall and snored loudly.

Lu Chao stretched and stood up. He checked the results of his hard work and nodded in satisfaction.

He made at least two copies of any high-level, non-bound items.

Unfortunately, unreliable lottery tickets, lottery tickets, and inheritance jade items have the characteristic of being bound upon pickup, so they cannot be used as quest rewards for endless farming.

A moment later, Lu Chaoding consumed a total of 15 portions of Sword Immortal's Inheritance and 6 Splitting Light Jade to upgrade [Great Absurd Splitting Light Sword Shadow] to LV8, enabling it to split into 256 sword shadows for the main weapon!

To upgrade this secret technique to LV9, you will need 7 copies of the [Sword Immortal's Legacy] and 4 pieces of [Splitting Light Jade].

Lu Chaoding has obtained many [Splitter Jade], but unfortunately he only has 5 [Sword Immortal's Certificate] left, which is not enough.

Then Lu Chaoding used Iron Crystal Sand to refine the three five-star flying insect swords to +12!

The +12 Flying Insect Sword's bite attack reached 13 points!

The bite attack is a fixed attack, unaffected by defense, resilience, or other buffs or debuffs. The five-star flying insect sword can split into 1296 flying insects to launch an attack, which means that using the five-star +12 flying insect sword once can reliably deal 16848 damage!

"As expected of a five-star +12 weapon!"

Lu Chao sighed, then refined the three two-star [Swift Wind Jade Talismans] to +3!

Samsung's [Swift Jade Talisman] can increase speed by 24, which is better than the [Giant Tiger Waist Token], so Lu Chaoding replaced the [Giant Tiger Waist Token] and [Wealthy Jade Pendant] with it.

Next, Lu Chao took one of each of the skill books he could use and upgraded all the ones that could be improved with cultivation.

In the end, he upgraded the five-star universal secret skill [Panrenbao Body] to LV6. The effect of this secret skill is: after the action begins, the resilience will be automatically restored to full, and the defense, resilience and health will be increased by 60 points, 60 points and 6000 points respectively.

Lu Chaoding placed it in the second skill slot.

However, to upgrade the [Pillar Body] to LV7, in addition to consuming cultivation points, it also requires [Pillar Blood]. This [Pillar Blood] is a rare item, and Lu Chaoding searched for it in the trading house but couldn't find it.

Lu Chao directly upgraded the four-star universal secret skill [Fiery Wings] to LV11. Its effect is to conjure 24 pairs of fiery wings on the back, granting flight ability and increasing defense by 96 points. However, due to a lack of the material [Divine Fire Feather], it cannot be upgraded to LV12!

Lu Chaoding also upgraded his one-star combat skill, [Echoes of the Sword], to LV4!

Originally, a one-star combat skill can only be upgraded once, which means it can be upgraded to a maximum of LV2. However, Lu Chaoding has the [Great Evolution Sword Immortal] trait, which increases the combat skill level cap by 2. Therefore, [Sword Echo] can be upgraded to LV4.

However, its effect is only so-so. After it is used, the damage of the main weapon in the two attacks is increased to 120%.

This boost has no effect on the bite attack or the sword shadow attack; the damage increase is just for show!

Of course, if Lu Chao uses other weapons instead of the Flying Insect Sword, the damage increase from the main weapon will still be there.

Additionally, if the [Great Evolution Sword Immortal] trait malfunctions, then the extra two levels of enhancement will not take effect, meaning it will only have the normal LV2 effect.

The Samsung universal combat skill [Fiery Slash] was also upgraded by Lu Chao to LV8, which surpasses the limit. Its effect is to consume one point of battle spirit to unleash a fiery sword aura with an attack power of 360%.

Lu Chaoding also had a three-star skill book for sword immortals called [Greatsword Technique]. He upgraded this skill, and to his surprise, when [Greatsword Technique] reached LV5, it developed extraordinary characteristics.

This extraordinary characteristic is that combat skills can be activated without consuming battle spirit and can be used in non-combat spaces.

After developing extraordinary characteristics, upgrading the Greatsword Technique would require the Inheritance of a Sword Immortal, and upgrading the Absurd Splitting Light and Shadow Technique would also require the Inheritance of a Sword Immortal. After some deliberation, Lu Chaoding ultimately consumed one Inheritance of a Sword Immortal and 50,000 cultivation points to upgrade the Greatsword Technique to LV6.

To his surprise, the LV6 [Greatsword Technique] had gained another one-star extraordinary trait, which increases attack power by (number of skill levels) times when using Greatsword Technique to attack non-living units such as buildings!

"With two extraordinary characteristics, this is already comparable to the Splitting Light Sword Shadow. Should we apply [Ye Longxing's Cultivation Insights - Combat Techniques] to this [Greatsword Technique]?"

Lu Chaoding pondered for three seconds before decisively using [Ye Longxing's Cultivation Insights: Combat Techniques]!
