Chapter 117 An Unreliable Training Room (Please Subscribe)

Lu Chaoding pulled Zhang Defa along and they started grinding through the tasks.

"I've been given a chance, how can I not take advantage of it? I must exploit the system's resources to the fullest, become a task grinder, farm for flying insect swords, farm for lottery tickets, farm for the super commoner sword, and forge my own future!"

Lu Chaoding had previously worried that the system might not give him any tasks in order to suppress him, just like how some movies and novels deliberately suppress the plot to prevent the protagonist from growing too fast. Now he realized that he had misunderstood the system. With this Task Hall, he felt that as long as it was a non-bound item, he could increase it by completing tasks, and then increase it even more. It was like stepping on his own two feet and taking off from the spot!

It's worth mentioning that new sect missions have also appeared in Lu Chaoding's sect management panel. The original mission requires the sect leader to reach level 30, and completing the mission will unlock an exclusive sect costume design x1.

After being occasionally tampered with by an unreliable system, this task has become one that requires the sect leader to reach level 30 in order to unlock 10 exclusive sect costume designs.

Lu Chaoding felt that this task was not difficult to complete; he could just find some cultivation insights and practice them in the task hall.

While Lu Chaoding started completing tasks, Wang Chengang and the others gathered around the unreliable training room to discuss something.

Nowadays, reliable sword players are basically divided into two groups. One group can be described as life players, who follow Lü Shaobao to plant trees and grass and carry out construction. They are all very enthusiastic, but they are not in a hurry to improve their strength. The other group is completely the opposite, who only pursue personal strength. Wang Chengang and Dugu Tian are the representatives of this group.

"This training room is called the 'Unreliable Training Room,' how can it be reliable? How did Lu Chaoding manage to build such a bizarre building?"

Wang Chen had just muttered something when he looked at the people around him and said, "The sect is too rudimentary right now, with only this one unreliable training room. Should we form a team and go in?"

Dugu Tian arrived at the unreliable training room and said, "A reliable sword sect, an unreliable training room, interesting. I'll go in and explore."

After saying that, he didn't form a team and went into the unreliable training room by himself.

"I'm going too!"

"Excuse me, our Boiling Blood Four-Man Team is signing up for the raid!"

"We are the Four Swordsmen of Fiery Flames!"

"The Four Sages of Broken Void Mountain must begin cultivating this wasteland..."

Surprisingly, a large number of players were willing to use the unreliable training rooms, and soon all forty entrances to the unreliable training rooms were occupied by players.

Seeing everyone's enthusiasm, Wang Chengang wasn't in a hurry. He called Liao Hu, Ma Hou, and Xiong Bing over and said, "Let the others go in and clear the land first. We'll see how it goes. After all, this is an unreliable training room; who knows what will happen once we're inside!"

"OK!"

"Listen to Brother Gang!"

"Hopefully nothing unexpected happens!"

Liao Hu, Ma Hou, and Xiong Bing nodded repeatedly, completely following Wang Chengang's lead.

Suddenly, a flash of white light appeared, and Dugu Tian, frowning, walked out from one of the entrances to the unreliable training room.

Wang Chengang quickly stepped forward, cupped his hands, and asked, "Brother Dugu, how is it? Is this unreliable training room reliable?"

Dugu Tian shook his head and said, "After I went in, I encountered a level 6 night wolf. After killing it, I only got a cultivation manual that gave me 20 cultivation points. I don't think it's worth the entrance fee."

"What? Just a level 6 Night Wolf!"

"The entrance fee is 10 yuan!"

"A huge loss!"

"This unreliable practice room is definitely unreliable!"

Upon hearing Dugu Tian's words, many players nearby were immediately disappointed.

Just then, another team came out of the training room, and all the players immediately rushed over, asking questions all at once.

"Zhao, Qian, Sun, and Li have also come out!"

"Did you also fight a night wolf?"

"Four people, 40 yuan for tickets, fighting a small night wolf? Wouldn't that be a huge loss?"

"Huh, what's with that expression? Did the Night Wolves wipe you out?"

These four players who emerged from the unreliable training room are Sword Immortal Zhao Qianli, Sword God Qian Baiwan, Sword Saint Sun Jiuwu, and Sword Demon Li Yifei. They call themselves "Zhao Qian Sun Li," and they come from the same newbie village. They were also tricked and coaxed into joining the sect by Zhao Qunzi.

At this moment, Sword Immortal Zhao Qianli said, "Damn it, we've encountered a warship, can you believe it?"

"Battleship?"

"What warship?"

"Huh, isn't that Night Wolf?"

Upon hearing this, the other players all asked questions.

Sword Saint Sun Jiuwu said, "We encountered a ghost warship. It even has a name, Friedrich. The system notification says it's a BOSS that the sect leader killed. Holy crap, it's ridiculously strong. It blasted us all to death with one shot."

"What? A ghost warship?"

"I've never heard of this boss before!"

"Everyone, take a close look at the attribute information for the Unreliable Training Room. It clearly states that the sparring partners in the Unreliable Training Room are randomly generated based on the sect leader's kill record!"

"So, it's not necessarily the Night Wolf?"

"Wait a minute, the sect leader is number one on all three lists. He defeated Prince Turtle, Fiery Heavenly Dog, and even Old Demon Ye Longxing. Does that mean we might encounter these three world bosses if we enter this unreliable training room?"

"Oh no! What if we run into Old Demon Ye? Won't we get killed instead?!"

"Let's team up, three of you, and go inside for a look!"

"Line up! Everyone line up! Don't push, keep order!"

After a brief discussion, a large group of players rushed towards the entrance of the unreliable training room.

The first batch of players who entered the unreliable training room also came out one after another. Some came out and said it was trash and not worth the ticket money, some shouted that it was exciting and said that they encountered vampires, and some beat their chests and stamped their feet, saying that they were wiped out by the BOSS.

It wasn't until four players came out, saying they'd encountered the Prince Turtle and almost won, that Wang Chengang finally couldn't hold back any longer. He called to Liao Hu and the others, "Brothers, it seems this unreliable training room is all about randomness. We might encounter some trash mobs, or we might run into a big boss. I think it's alright, let's go in!"

"Okay, I'll go join the queue!"

"Just line up right here at this entrance..."

A moment later, Wang Chengang, Liao Hu, Ma Hou, and Xiong Bing entered the unreliable training room as they had hoped.

After paying for the tickets, they were teleported to an open area. A system notification, like a broadcast, rang out: "Ding, you have entered the Unreliable Training Room. Your sparring partners will be randomly selected from the leader player's kill records. Calculating..."

"Ding! Your sparring partner is a LV10 juvenile special wild monster, the Black Saber-toothed Tiger!"

With the system notification, a black and white striped tiger with a single black, dagger-shaped horn appeared opposite Wang Chengang and the others.

After another minute of preparation time, the battle began.

Wang Chengang and his group were quite strong; they easily killed the mere Black Saber Tiger.

The four men felt no sense of accomplishment and were lamenting their bad luck and the fact that their tickets were worthless when the Black Saber-toothed Tiger that had been killed turned into a treasure chest.

"Huh, a treasure chest popped up?"

As soon as Wang Chen stepped forward and opened the treasure chest, his face lit up with surprise: "Brothers, I got a Divine Beast! A three-star Black Saber-toothed Tiger!"

"What?"

"This mere elite beast has fallen to the level of a lowly Earthly Being?"

"Brother Gang, quickly show us your attributes!"

Wang Chengang excitedly displayed the attribute information of the [Black Saber-toothed Tiger], and Ma Hou and the others were immediately excited as well.

"This local deity can be used as a mount!"

"This practice room is reliable!"

"Why aren't four dropping?"

"Brother Gang, can I have this Black Saber-toothed Tiger first?"

"Get lost, this is mine!"

"Brother Gang, you can't do this! I suggest we play rock-paper-scissors. Whoever wins gets the saber-toothed tiger!"

"agree!"

"I agree..."

As the group argued, the battle space shattered, and they were forcibly teleported out of the unreliable training room.

"continue!"

The four turned around and went back into the unreliable training room.

This time, their training partners were "Weeping Angel, Supreme Executor of Nut Fortress" and two "Nut Fortress A-Rank Combatants"!

Wang Chengang and his team were wiped out.

Instead of being disappointed, they became even more excited, discussing skill and equipment setups, how to fight the Crying Angel next time, and so on.

In their view, a powerful BOSS represents high-level loot, and the process of defeating a BOSS is also enjoyable for them.

As for why their sect leader had killed powerful bosses such as the Crying Angel and the Ghost Battleship, they didn't care at all. They even hoped that Lu Chaoding could kill an even stronger boss.
