Chapter 112 The Tree-Planting Elder and the Guiding Elder

"Greening?"

"What are you doing, streamer?"

"What faction has the streamer joined? Why are they doing this greening thing?"

"You trash streamer, you're only level one! Go level up!"

"I enjoy management and construction."

"Host, please show us around your sect..."

Zhang Defa's live stream was very lively.

Nowadays, there are many players doing live streaming, but Zhang Defa is the only streamer who has joined a sect. He is also the earliest streamer to start broadcasting. In addition, he is a fellow villager of Lu Chaoding and Zhao Qunzi, so he has quite a few followers.

At this moment, Zhang Defa collected all the ever-changing saplings, fluffy grass seeds, and kumquat seeds that were placed in the main hall of the mountain gate. Then, with the six golden characters "Reliable Sword Sect Elder" above his head, he slowly walked towards the exit of the main hall.

"Guys, let me check out the surroundings first. Our sect's base is called Hongchen Seven Realms Mountain. Just listen to that name, how reliable! It must be a place with excellent feng shui... Now I've left the main hall and arrived at the mountain gate square. Holy crap, what's that? Huge stone lions!"

Zhang Defa exclaimed in surprise. He ran happily to the mountain gate and pointed the live broadcast camera at the nine-zhang stone lion.

"Guys, aren't these stone lions imposing? Look at the material, look at the carving skills, wow, this is the face of our Reliable Sword Sect! Come on, look at this sect banner, Reliable Sword Sect, wow, the calligraphy is really good! Holy crap, there are three rainbow clouds in the sky, so beautiful..."

As a live streamer, Zhang Defa made good use of the camera angles. He showcased the nine-foot stone lion, the sect's banner, and the colorful auspicious clouds from various angles, praising them highly. He also expressed his feelings while gazing at the sea from the mountain gate.

A moment later, Zhang Defa pointed the live broadcast camera at Hongchen Seven Realms Mountain, but was suddenly stunned. His perspective was slightly different from the live broadcast. He looked at the bare Hongchen Seven Realms Mountain, which looked like it was made of yellow clay, and felt that the mountain looked a bit like a pile of dung, especially the small, soul-like peak that jutted out from the top of the mountain, which looked very cartoonish.

Clearing his throat, Zhang Defa continued, "Guys, our Hongchen Seven Realms Mountain has seven levels, like a seven-layer cake mountain. I'm on the first level now. Look, this is the mountain gate plaza. The ground is very flat, isn't it? Hmm, now I understand why Brother Ding called our sect's headquarters 'Greening the Land.' I'll start planting trees, one to the left of the main hall of the mountain gate!"

Zhang Defa went to the left side of the main hall of the mountain gate, took out a sapling of the Ever-Changing Tree, and threw it on the ground. The sapling immediately took root and grew rapidly, reaching a height of three zhang in the blink of an eye. Looking at the tree, its whole body was like jade carving, resembling an upright jade ruyi, or a large lingzhi mushroom. Its leaf discs were like clouds, and its whole body was light blue with reddish tinges. Green mist swirled among the tree, rotating and not dissipating.

"Holy crap, guys, I got a system notification! I've successfully grown a century-old Ganoderma lucidum tree! Ah, so this is the 'Hundred-Change Seedling,' the tree it grows changes randomly!"

Zhang Defa was overjoyed. He took out an iron sword and carved the five characters "This tree was planted by me" on the Ganoderma lucidum tree. Then he threw a sapling with a hundred transformations to the side.

Quickly, a large tree appeared, resembling a weeping willow, but with its branches covered in golden leaves like copper coins.

"Haha, this is a century-old money tree, it's beautiful, really beautiful! Guys, don't you think it's beautiful? What? You say I planted it in a bad location? Why don't you come and plant it yourself?"

Zhang Defa, as if he had discovered a toy, didn't have any plan. He just threw the saplings along a straight line and planted "ten-year osmanthus trees", "ten-year poplar trees", "thousand-year sycamore trees", "three-year coiled dragon trees", "thousand-year beautiful pines", "hundred-year pagoda trees", and so on.

He was having a great time planting trees, and the comments in the live stream were scrolling by at lightning speed.

"Elder Tree Planting, please stop planting! You've planted them all crooked!"

"Please, streamer, move the century-old money tree to the front of the mountain gate!"

"Oh dear, I'm so anxious! Two century-old Ganoderma lucidum trees have sprouted, but they're not even placed asymmetrically! Wouldn't it have been better if that trashy streamer had planted the trees symmetrically on either side of the main hall?"

"Don't waste the saplings, wait for me, I'm coming to plant them!"

"Damn it, can't these trees be moved? The streamer planted them haphazardly, it's giving me OCD a headache!"

"Here's a 200 yuan tip. Don't waste the saplings, go plant grass!"

"I really want to kill the streamer!"

"Damn it, leave the saplings for me, I'm leaving the island right now to plant trees!"

"I really want to teach the streamer how to plant trees!"

"I have a hoe, I can dig holes and till the ground, I'd like to apply to plant trees..."

Zhang Defa felt that he had done a good job planting trees. He thought that the players who left comments criticizing him must be jealous. After planting more than two hundred trees, he took out a handful of fluffy grass seeds and scattered them in front of him. In less than two minutes, a small patch of grass appeared. The grass seeds quickly grew into small grass after landing. The grass was emerald green, very soft, and had a unique fragrance.

"Guys, this fluffy grass smells amazing!"

Zhang Defa couldn't resist grabbing a handful of tender grass leaves and popping them into his mouth. He chewed them vigorously and exclaimed with delight, "Guys, this grass is delicious! It tastes like fragrant rice, so sweet and delicious! I have to eat another handful!"

Next, Zhang Defa thoroughly cleared the small patch of grass he had just planted. He ate even the roots, then sat down on the ground, rubbing his belly, still somewhat unsatisfied, and said, "Guys, the fluffy grass is delicious! Joining our reliable sword sect means at least we don't have to worry about food anymore. We can eat our fill of nutritious and healthy fluffy grass! Wait for me a little longer, I'm not full yet, I'll plant another patch and eat some fresh grass!"

"Holy crap, this is a massive live streamer eating grass!"

"Eating grass is one thing, but eating the grass roots is just outrageous!"

"Even my cows aren't this fierce!"

"I can't take it anymore, the tree-planting elder is going to laugh me to death!"

"Is this fluffy grass really that delicious?"

"Damn, seeing how much the streamer enjoys eating makes me want to eat some grass too!"

"Silliness is contagious!"

"Come on, let's go graze on Hongchen Seven Realms Island!"

"Kill Elder Defa, the tree-planting elder, to save the saplings and grass seeds! Join by typing '1'!"

"Our village's storyline is slow, are there any seats left?"

"1..."

While Zhang Defa garnered countless comments by eating grass, Zhao Weike, bearing the title "Reliable Elder of the Sword Sect," steered the sect's patrol ship to a light blue light barrier.

That light barrier represents the territory of the beginner village.

Hongchen Seven Realms Island is right next to the starting village, but once you leave Tianxing Island, it's not easy to go back.

Zhao Weike waited here for 10 minutes before finally receiving a system notification: "Ding! Newbie Village #143158641 has issued an island departure quest. You can now pilot the patrol ship to pick them up. Do you wish to proceed?"

"Let's go! This is the moment we've been waiting for!"

Zhao Weike was excited. The next moment, under his control, the patrol ship passed through the light blue light curtain and arrived at the novice village No. 143158641.

Unlike his own Tianxing Island, the Great Sword Breaking Void Mountain in this beginner village is sinking, which is a story animation. And the large ships entering this beginner village are not only the one piloted by Zhao Weike, but also many NPC sect ships.

Zhao Weike dared not delay and increased the speed of the patrol ship to the maximum, quickly leaving behind the sect ships and arriving at the coast first. He then drove the patrol ship directly to the eight players.

"What great luck! We spotted the players right away!" Zhao Weike shouted to the eight players. "Get on the boat, I'll take you off the island!"

"Huh? What kind of ship is this?"

"Wasn't it said that the Great Luo Sword Sect's flagship would be coming here?"

"Has the Azure Lotus Sword Sect's main ship not arrived yet?"

"I want to join the Great Luo Sword Sect!"

The eight players looked puzzled.

Zhao Weike said, "The Great Luo Sword Sect is unreliable. Join our reliable sword sect! I am the Grand Elder of the reliable sword sect. Don't hesitate, get on board! I'll take you flying!"

"A reliable sword sect? What kind of sword sect is that? I've never heard of it!"

"Could it be a hidden sect?"

"This sect's name is a bit unreliable!"

"Would a respectable sect choose such a name...?"

The eight players were even more confused.

Judging from their behavior, Zhao Weike knew that these were eight players who didn't watch the live stream and were focused on the storyline.

"I, Zhao Qunzi, have some reputation on the forum, how come they didn't recognize me? Could it be that they didn't realize I'm a player...?"

Zhao Weike immediately recalled Lu Chaoding's expressionless face and imitated it, saying expressionlessly, "My Reliable Sword Sect is a super hidden sect that surpasses first-rate sects such as the Great Luo Sword Sect and the Azure Lotus Sword Sect. We only recruit eight disciples. You eight, think it over and decide if you want to join our sect!"

"A super hidden sect? Only accepting eight disciples? Brother Gang, what do you think?"

"This NPC seems a bit unreliable, but if what he says is true, then we can't miss this opportunity!"

"Shall we get on the ship then?"

"Get on board!"

"You're only accepting eight disciples?"

After a brief discussion, the eight players finally boarded the patrol ship.

Zhao Weike was overjoyed and said, "Hold on tight, I'll take you off the island now. Our destination: Hongchen Seven Realms Mountain!"

He turned the boat around and increased its speed to the maximum. Before long, he left the novice village and saw the Hongchen Seven Realms Mountain, which looked like a giant cloud, not far away.

"My post is located there. Now, as the Grand Elder of a reliable sword sect, I will accept you as disciples of the Hongchen Sword Sect."

Zhao Weike, now impersonating an NPC, quickly led the eight people to the foot of the mountain gate and said, "Disembark, proceed along the stone steps, pass through the mountain gate, and go to the main hall to find the Tree Planting Elder and receive the beginner quest!"

After luring the eight people off the boat, Zhao Weike quickly turned around and headed back towards the beginner village area.

"Now's the time to recruit more disciples for my sect, so I can truly demonstrate my abilities, Zhao Weike! Haha!"

Zhao Weike felt full of energy. He believed that with his own abilities, it was not impossible for him to create the strongest sect!
