Shockingly, a counterfeit factory has produced a 3-nanometer chip.

Lenovo and Transsion still have conflicts. Originally, the relationship between the two companies was relatively normal, and Lenovo even used Transsion's chips.

However, since Transsion entered the PC market, the relationship between the two companies has plummeted.

"We can coordinate with Lenovo, but you also need to be prepared."

Lenovo's situation is rather complicated. Some historical issues were left over from the restructuring back then, and there have always been some unclear aspects regarding its equity structure.

Getting them involved in standards alliances now, involving technological contributions and patent licensing, will be difficult to advance without resolving these historical issues, and given the current situation, it might not be good news.

Shen Fei understood what Director Zhou meant. When Lin Xiang was reforming the system, some issues were indeed involved, but because they were too broad in scope, no one had brought them up.

They were whispering amongst themselves, but Minister Miao and Director Zhou both understood that it was impossible to get Chuan Yi to back down.

After all, we had just had an argument online a couple of days ago...

However, since it's a domestic standard, it's best to do it together, otherwise some unexpected things might happen. But even though they made some requests, they were still directly rejected.

"Minister Miao, you don't need to persuade me about this."

Lenovo sent them a notification letter. If they are willing to join, then let them in. But if they have their own ideas, then I'm sorry, I don't particularly welcome them.

After all, if the alliance can cover more than 70% of the population, that will be enough to make progress.

Seeing that they had misunderstood, Director Zhou quickly waved his hand:

"Mr. Shen, and all our colleagues here, that's not what we meant."

We also need to consider the issue from the perspective of interests.

I believe they will understand the future. Lenovo's PC business also needs video standards to improve the collaboration between the screen and the graphics card. If they don't adopt them, the display effect of the next generation of Lenovo laptops will be at least one generation behind Transsion's products.

Under market pressure, will they inevitably make their own choice?

Shen Fei just chuckled at this reason, after all, would Lenovo understand?

He was skeptical about the answer to this question.

The next discussion focused on other smaller companies, particularly LeEco.

Director Zhou also gave them a brief introduction to the cooperative relationship between Ruiyi Mobile and LeEco.

"That's roughly the situation. Boss Jia made Lu Mingyuan the legal representative. I suspect Lu Mingyuan is going to get scammed."

I'll just briefly share my opinion of them: Boss Jia is too ambitious.

They wanted to do everything, but they lacked the ability to transmit their voices, so they couldn't excel at anything.

Actually, we didn't recommend bringing them in in the first place. Should we consider bringing in companies like that later?

Shen Fei nodded, already having the answer in his heart.

After all, having a certain degree of autonomy is a good thing.

Finally, Minister Miao stood up and patted Shen Fei on the shoulder:

"Mr. Shen, go ahead and do it. Please trust our attitude."

Standards, in a narrow sense, are a matter of business competition between companies; in a broader sense, they are a strategic issue.

Moreover, this is just a pilot program. If the pilot program is successful, we will invest even more funds in the future.

Because we can't establish our own standards, we'll always be forced to follow other people's rules. Now that we've gained more power, we definitely need to make some changes.

"I see!"

After saying that, Shen Fei also saw Captain Mao. It seems that the engine and material formulas he provided earlier have indeed given them more confidence.

After seeing the group off, Shen Fei returned to his office and sent messages to the heads of Blue Factory and Green Factory respectively.

The content is similar; they all involve scheduling a video meeting to discuss technical standards alliances.

Shen Wei: "When? I'll come tomorrow?"

Chen Mingyong's reply was a little slower, but equally decisive: "I'll definitely be there tomorrow. It would be best to invite Lao Yu as well. We, the Four Heavenly Kings of Guangnan, should have a proper get-together, shouldn't we?"

"By the way, Mr. Shen, I have something else to tell you. It seems Qualcomm is making some big moves?"

Shen Fei was a little surprised to see Chen Mingyong's reply. He had really overlooked Qualcomm recently. Could it be that this seemingly indestructible company was about to rise again?

…………

Meanwhile, at Qualcomm headquarters in San Diego.

When Steve Mollenkopf entered, the laboratory was already filled with jubilation.

Several engineers gathered around the test bench, watching the benchmark curve on the screen climb steadily until it finally settled at a number they themselves couldn't have imagined.

Fire Dragon 835, Entertainment Rabbit score 178000.

It scored 50% higher than the previous generation Snapdragon 820 Special Edition's 12 points, and the chip's highest temperature was only 41 degrees Celsius during the entire benchmarking process.

If this number were applied to an 820, it would trigger a frequency reduction when running halfway through, causing the temperature to spike to over 70 degrees Celsius as a protection measure.

Project manager Mark Thompson finally stood up; two consecutive generations of fire dragons had made him lose face in the company!

Now he can finally proudly say: I am not the fire dragon designer, I am the ice dragon designer!

Other engineers shared the same sentiment.

This chip took 20 months to develop from its inception to completion today, during which it underwent three major adjustments and two failed tape-outs.

At the worst point, the entire team worked overtime continuously.

"Is everyone ready?"

When Mark saw Steve Mollenkopf arrive, he quickly told everyone to stop cheering. After all, they had failed so many times; they were all sinners and had no right to cheer like that.

"Tang Sanzang's good looks are only part of the story. What we need to do next is to get this chip to produce the same data on a real device."

So, should we carefully examine the driver again, and then send a dedicated technical team to help those mobile phone manufacturers complete the necessary technical compatibility?

But then an engineer with poor eyesight walked up to him:

"Mark, are you being too cautious?"

The Snapdragon 835 is already the best generation in Qualcomm's history. The overheating issue has been resolved, and the performance has improved. This is fucking the Ice Dragon.

Jack got more and more excited as he talked, after all, today was indeed a happy day, and what Mark did was really too... too inhumane.

But no one in the lab could keep up with him; after all, they weren't blind, and they saw Steve Mollenkopf behind him.

"President! Welcome to inspect the results?"

Jack's expression changed drastically, and he glared at the others with resentment, after all, Mark had resorted to underhanded tactics.

However, Steve Mollenkopf didn't care about these trivial matters. Jack was indeed a bit arrogant, but his skills were definitely top-notch.

Moreover, his main job now is to verify whether the ice dragon is real, and he hopes that God will not play another joke on him.

After all, many mobile phone manufacturers have gone out of business in the past two years due to the fire problem. If this continues, no partner will be willing to cooperate with them.

[Rice: ...I have a say!]

After all, doing business requires both skill and luck, but now it seems like God is against them, and those people probably won't want to work with unlucky guys.

And MediaTek is also getting restless...

If it weren't for the fire dragon this time, they would definitely teach that disobedient guy a lesson.
