Chapter 109 The Former White Moonlight

Lu Zhe, a tall man standing at 1.8 meters, wearing a denim jacket, sat at a small table and loudly called out to the waiter to take his order.

"Why hasn't Xu An arrived yet?" he muttered to himself, just as he took out his phone to send a message to ask.

"Lu Zhe!"

Familiar voices reached my ears.

He turned his head at the sound, his eyes widened instantly, and he jumped to his feet. "Holy crap!"

"Xu An?"

"Are you kidding me? This is a G-Wagon?!"

He strode forward, staring in astonishment at the three-pointed star SUV.

"Yours?" He turned his head and stared wide-eyed, pointing at the Mercedes-Benz G-Class with a look of astonishment.

"Yes." Xu An nodded with a smile.

"Holy crap!"

Upon receiving a correct answer, Lu Zhe couldn't help but exclaim, "No way! It's only been a few years! You're already driving a G-Wagon!"

"what!"

He clutched his heart, feigning injury, and took two steps back. "Damn it, you should be driving a Toyota or Honda! I didn't tell you to drive such a nice car!"

"You're eating way too well!"

"Where's the key? Let me feel it." Lu Zhe was impatient.

Xu An casually tossed the keys to him.

"Woof, woof woof woof!"

I heard a dog barking.

He leaned closer and saw two little puppies standing on the back seat.

"You also have two dogs?" Lu Zhe asked in surprise.

"Yes." Xu An nodded.

Ignoring the dog, Lu Zhe got into the driver's seat, gripped the steering wheel, and said, "Quick, Lao Xu, take some pictures of me so I can show off."

Xu An smiled and took a few photos of him with her phone.

"alright."

He then got out of the driver's seat, still feeling quite unsatisfied. "Sitting in this luxury car feels completely different," he remarked.

"My back straightens automatically when I sit down."

Xu An smiled and said, "Let's go have a drink first. You can drive the car whenever you want."

"Old Xu, I knew you weren't wrong about me." Lu Zhe put a hand on his shoulder.

As he spoke, he glanced down at the two puppies following behind him. "Why did you bring these two puppies out?"

"I was getting bored being cooped up at home, so I brought me out for a walk."

The two sat at a small table, the Border Collie and the Samoyed turning their heads to look around curiously.

"Don't run too far, just play here," Xu An said to the two dogs.

"Woof! Yes, Master," the Border Collie and the Samoyed barked.

"Wow, you've trained your two dogs quite well; they're so obedient." Lu Zhe was surprised.

"It's alright," Xu An replied with a smile.

Lu Zhe yelled at the boss, "Boss, bring me a beer first!"

While waiting, Lu Zhe looked Xu An up and down.

"What?" Xu An asked suspiciously.

"Hiss." Lu Zhe took a breath. "Wait a minute, why do I feel like you're getting more and more handsome? It doesn't make sense."

,

"Look at me, after working for a few years, my head is starting to turn into a bald patch," Lu Zhe said, looking down and running his fingers through his hair.

Xu An laughed and said, "Don't you know whether I'm handsome or not?"

Lu Zhe curled his lip and clicked his tongue, saying, "Sure enough, money is what feeds people."

After saying that, he changed the subject: "Hey, Lao Xu, what are you doing now? You're even driving a G-Wagon now. Don't forget your brothers now that you've made it big."

"I only wrote two novels, and then they became popular by accident, so I bought some of the copyrights," Xu An said with a smile.

"Are you still working for that company?"

"You're still writing novels?" Lu Zhe asked in surprise. "What kind of novels are you writing? Tell me about them."

"Have you read 'Covering the Sky' and 'Battle Through the Heavens'?" Xu An asked casually.

"Holy crap! You wrote these two books?" Lu Zhe exclaimed in shock.

"Have you seen it?" Xu An asked.

"I haven't read it, but I've heard of it. Where would I find the time to read novels right now? I'm so busy every day, both at work and at home." Lu Zhe said with a bitter face, as he picked up a bottle of wine, opened it, and handed it to Xu An.

"You're driving, are you still drinking?"

"Drink up, it's been so long, how can we not drink? We can call a designated driver later." Xu An took the bottle from Xu An.

"OK."

They each poured themselves a glass and clinked them together.

"Old Xu, congratulations! These two books have made you financially free, haven't they?" Lu Zhe said with emotion.

"It's alright, just enough to make ends meet," Xu An said with a smile, taking a sip of his drink.

"Hey, by the way, why did you suddenly decide to call me out tonight?" He glared at me, "Damn! You didn't deliberately call me out to show off in front of me, did you?!"

"Damn, do you think I'm the kind of person who likes to show off?" Xu An frowned and said with dissatisfaction.

"Yes." Lu Zhe nodded without hesitation.

"Fine... but you can forget about lending me the car."

"No, brother, I misspoke. I admit my mistake. I'll punish myself with a drink." Lu Zhe quickly apologized and downed the drink in one gulp.

They laughed and joked around for a while, then started talking about their high school and college days.

Men, especially those who have graduated from school and have reached a certain age, often can't help but reminisce about their school days when they're drinking and chatting with friends.

"Old Xu, do you still remember Yang Qiutong?" Lu Zhe asked.

Xu An grinned, "Of course I remember, how could I not remember?"

Yang Qiutong was the girl Xu An fawned over for four years, only to receive the reply, "Xu An, you're great, but I only see you as a friend."

In one sentence, Xu An's life of being a sycophant was shattered, and his heart was sealed with cement from then on.

"She married a rich second-generation heir the year before last, but they divorced last year. I heard that her rich second-generation husband cheated on her and even brought other women home to play."

"I knew Yang Qiutong was no good from the start. Look at her now, she climbed the social ladder and got what she deserved. Tsk tsk tsk."

Lu Zhe shook his head and clicked his tongue, not exactly gloating, but just a little saddened.

"Where did you hear this from?" Xu An frowned.

"Of course I heard it from my old classmates. Most of our classmates stayed in Jiangdu, and I still keep in touch with quite a few of them." As he spoke, he glanced at Xu An, "You think you're like me, disappearing without a trace?"

Xu Anqian chuckled twice but didn't reply.

Suddenly, he changed the subject, craning his neck to lean closer and whispering, "Hey, Yang Qiutong is divorced now. Didn't you used to be obsessed with her? Now you're handsome and rich, do you want me to help you find out her contact information?"

"Are you sick, Lu Zhe!" Xu An raised his voice and cursed irritably.

Lu Zhe didn't care at all, instead raising an eyebrow with a smile: "Hey, I'm serious, I've seen her photos. She's a young woman now, even more charming than before. If you go up to her now, you might be able to win her heart."

Seeing that Xu An looked like he was about to curse, Lu Zhe quickly said, "I didn't ask you to marry her. I meant you can have some fun with her. After all, just thinking about playing with your former white moonlight is exhilarating."

As he spoke, he revealed a smug smile and raised an eyebrow at Xu An.

Xu An swallowed back the curses that were on the tip of his tongue.

To be honest, Lu Zhe's idea is really quite intriguing and not something that most people can resist.

After all, who can resist their own ideal woman?

"Pah! You son of a bitch, you better watch out or I'll tell your girlfriend what I said." Xu An spat, making no attempt to hide his contempt.

"Hey, hey, I was just joking! Can't you take a joke? Why are you tattling on me?" Lu Zhe immediately became anxious.

Seeing his expression, Xu An couldn't help but laugh.

"Come on, let's drink!"
