Chapter 108 The Pro Player Destroyer
Chapter 109 The Pro Player Destroyer
The sea crashes against the towering cliffs, making a booming sound like war drums. The small town of Deshya stands on the coastal cliffs, overlooking the verdant sea of Nusseria and the army of gladiators and free people.
Deshia was a target carefully chosen by Robert Guilliman for the gladiators. The city was one of many small city-states located at the border of Deshia and the Coastal Federation. Several years ago, a gladiator rebellion broke out, and the gladiators slaughtered the city's high-ranking riders and briefly occupied the city.
However, Lacita, who had not yet become a general in the Dicia Guard and had lost his family fortune, accepted a job as a high-ranking rider in the neighboring city of Anite. He led the Anite forces to recapture the city and slaughtered all the gladiators and freemen within it.
The city-state is now ruled by high-ranking riders from Anet who are related to the former rulers of Deshya. Their numbers are not large, probably only thirty to fifty.
"Pathetic gladiators, laughable refugees, worms from the gladiatorial arena and worms from the slums mingled together!"
"Open your eyes wide and see! This is Deshia, the destroyer of gladiators, the enemy of traitors! How dare you offend us, the noble ones!"
A sarcastic voice rang out from the high walls of Deshya, as high-ranking riders' drones hovered in the air, mocking the gladiators and freemen.
The obese high-ranking riders lay on sofas and lounge chairs lifted up by silver vines, hiding atop the towering city walls, laughing and joking at the gladiators and freemen as if watching monkeys in a theater.
Unable to bear the humiliation, Yochuka, one of the gladiators, threw a spear at the high wall.
However, the spear got stuck in mid-air, struck an invisible shield, and landed on the sand in front of the high wall.
Seeing this, the high-level riders burst into laughter.
A sigh erupted from the free people.
Onomamus gave Yochuka a warning look.
The young gladiator Yochuka shrank back.
"This is going to lower our morale a bit," Flammy, the commander of the Free People's Army, complained somewhat sullenly.
Flammy now understood that although these gladiators were known in Dysia for their bloodlust and ferocity, they were far more approachable than the high-ranking riders, and he could speak his mind.
"Once we find a house with a roof, I'll hang him on the roof for the whole night," Kleist said viciously as he pushed the wheelchair.
This startled Yochuka, who shuddered.
"The high-ranking riders in Anet City inherited the shield technology left over from the First Kingdom era, and now those high-ranking riders have brought this technology to Deshia as well," Zhou Yun said, sitting in a wheelchair.
His skin has begun to heal slightly, the surface scars are barely visible, and he can walk a few steps with difficulty, as if he is truly recovering.
Upon witnessing this scene, Flami found some craftsmen among the free people and had them make this wheelchair for Zhou Yun using the materials they could find.
But only Zhou Yun knew that this body had endured excessive psionic energy and suffered a large amount of subspace radiation, and the internal damage was already uncontrollable.
He will be able to temporarily regain his mobility using bio-chemical psionic energy, but it will only last for a little over a year at most.
"So, my lord, as I said on the way, Deshya is not a good choice," Flami earnestly advised. "This city is too fortified, and it is built against the coastal cliffs with a drop of hundreds of meters. As long as this side is defended, it will be impregnable."
"If we had enough food, we could have besieged them to death, but we don't."
"The Free Citizens only have about two days' worth of food left. You can look at the forms, my God, we're almost out of paper to fill out those forms."
At this point, Flammy hesitated for a moment, then leaned closer to Zhou Yun and asked in a low voice, "Sir, could you tell me how much food the gladiators have left?"
"About a day," Zhou Yun said to Flammy.
Flammi was struck dumb; he had been hoping the gladiators had brought enough food.
"You should know that many of my squad leaders and company commanders have shared their food with the free civilians under their command, right?" Zhou Yun inquired.
The entire unit is now being reorganized according to Robert Guilliman's plan.
Ten free men form a squad, ten squads form a company, and ten companies make up the entire army.
The squad leaders and company commanders were all reliable gladiators.
"Yes, sir, that is why the free people believe that the gladiators still have plenty of food."
"If they knew our food supplies were running low, their morale would collapse right now."
Flammy carefully chose his words, wanting to tell Zhou Yun that his free men were far less determined than the gladiators.
They were just a mob, fearing the punishment of the high-ranking riders of Daisy and craving the wealth promised by Zhou Yun, which is why they followed them south.
They are prone to collapse and disintegration at the slightest setback or disturbance.
"Then we won't tell them," Zhou Yun said casually.
Flammy's mouth dropped open.
Zhou Yun knew what Flammy was thinking and had asked Robert Guilliman: Why recruit the Free People's troops? Can they really help?
Robert, however, told Zhou Yun that people are shaped by their environment. The reason they are cowardly like worms is because they are led by worm-like high-ranking riders, because they live in the wormhole of Diya.
Now they are homeless, and their only support is Zhou Yun and the gladiators. Their interests are tied to Zhou Yun and the gladiators. Even if they conquer the town in the future, they will be incompatible with the local free people and can only rely on Zhou Yun and the gladiators. They will become loyal and reliable.
Let them eat and live with the gladiators, and they will be molded into a usable force. Then they will be dispersed to help the gladiators govern more free people.
"My lord, what should we do with that fellow?" Flammy pointed down from the city wall.
A high-ranking rider lying on a sofa, his body wrapped in silver vines, did not stand on the city wall like the other high-ranking riders.
He stood guard before the city gate, displaying his pale, obese body as if to show off, and also flaunting the various weapons from the First Kingdom era carried by his silver vines.
The ugly high-ranking rider, who called himself "Destroyer of Gladiators," "Enemy of Traitors," "Angron Slayer," "Zhou Yun Slayer," and dozens of other titles, swung his fat ass at the gladiators and freemen below the city walls, provoking them.
He said: If any gladiator has even a little courage, then come and challenge him, and fight him one-on-one to the death.
"Disgusting," said Kleist, who was pushing Zhou Yun's wheelchair.
"It's really a bit of an eyesore," Zhou Yun said, finding it unbearable to look at. "Tell the free people they can laugh a little louder."
"My lord, it's not like that... Of course I understand that this is a joke for you, for Lord Angron, and for the gladiators, but the free people don't understand."
"They'll think the gladiators' refusal to fight is cowardice, and they'll inevitably worry about it," Flammy advised.
"The gladiators are getting restless too," Onomamus nodded, agreeing. "They all want to go up and kill this bastard."
Seeing that Onomamus approved of him, Flami mustered his courage and said, "I implore you, let Lord Angron kill him."
At this point, Flammy looked around as if he had suddenly discovered something.
"Where is Lord Angron?" Flami asked.
He then realized that he hadn't seen Anglong today.
Zhou Yun did not answer, but instead raised his arm and stretched it out towards the high-ranking rider who was swaggering under the city wall, the fat worm who called himself "the destroyer of gladiators".
He suddenly lifted his hand upwards and then twisted it forcefully.
Falcon School. One million horsepower of psionic energy!
"Aaaaaaah!!!"
A heart-wrenching scream rang out, and the high-level rider lying on the sofa suddenly clutched his groin. His fat, white thighs trembled uncontrollably in pain, and he was thrown off the sofa, rolling wildly on the sand.
"Pro Destroyer! Stand up! Pro Destroyer!"
Zhou Yun shouted loudly, encouraging the high-level rider to stand up again.
The high-ranking rider gritted his teeth, barely managing to stand up from the sand, and then...
Zhou Yun reached out and weighed it in his hand again.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!"
Flammy stared in disbelief at the scene.
Kleist, standing behind Zhou Yun, couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Laughter spread from her, and the gladiators and freemen couldn't help but laugh as they watched the high-ranking rider rolling around in the sand.
"Laugh louder!"
Zhou Yun shouted at the troops behind him with all his might, "Come on! Join me in thanking the high-ranking riders for their comical performance!"
"Laugh! Lol!"
"Thanks to the expert riders for the hilarious performance!!"
The gladiators and the freemen laughed and shouted in unison.
"Pro Destroyer! Pro Destroyer! Pro Destroyer!"
The high-ranking riders on the city walls, their faces flushed, hid behind their shields, cursing Zhou Yun, Angron, and the gladiators, and then...
The curses turned into panicked cries, and behind them, in the city of Deshya, flames rose up along with battle shouts.
"I'll answer your question now," Zhou Yun said, looking at Flami.
"First, why choose Deshya?"
"After Deshia was recaptured by high-ranking riders, all the free people and gladiators in the city were slaughtered."
"The free people in the city today were bought by Deshya from high-ranking riders in Anet. They were forcibly relocated here, and many died along the way. After arriving in Deshya, many more were forcibly stuffed into the arena."
"The people here will not resist us. They are just as angry with the high-ranking riders as we are. Once someone helps them break the first chain, they will rise up and rebel against the high-ranking riders."
"Second question, where is Angron?"
"As you said, Deshya is built on the coastal cliffs. They only defend the front and never expect anyone to launch an attack from the direction of the coastal cliffs."
"If someone could climb hundreds of meters up a cliff from below the coast, he could slip into the city of Deshya without hindrance and, while the city's high-ranking riders were gathered on the city walls, liberate the gladiators of the arena and lead them, and indeed the entire city's, free people in an uprising."
"A cliff hundreds of meters high, no one can climb it..." Flami blurted out instinctively, then paused, "unless it's Angron."
Zhou Yun smiled and pointed to Deshya City.
"Siege".
"Attack the city!!!" Flami roared behind him, and Onomamus led the gladiators, raising their weapons high.
"Attack the city!!!" The battle cry resounded through the sky, and warriors ran past Zhou Yun one by one, except for Kleist who remained to protect Zhou Yun.
"Hmm?" But suddenly, Zhou Yun let out a soft groan and reached out to cover his forehead slightly.
"What's wrong?" Kleist hurriedly lowered his head and asked.
"No, it's nothing, nothing at all," Zhou Yun said to Kleist.
His perspective returned to the golden throne.
One world.
He saw a new world, a new body into which he could enter.
