NBA's Super Troublemaker

Chapter 85 Christmas Battle! Li He VS James! (Please subscribe!)

The date is April 25, 2003.

The highly anticipated Christmas battle is about to begin.

The exchange of insults between the two sets of fans escalated the Christmas Day match.

The good news is that the Rose Garden Arena in Portland has reached its highest attendance rate in recent seasons!

All 19980 seats were sold out!

On this important day, Portland fans chose to believe in the team once again, which deeply moved the players of the prison team, uniting them in solidarity.

As it's an early match, this Christmas Day game will be held at 12:00 local time.

Both teams' players arrived at the venue three hours in advance to conduct acclimatization warm-up training.

Reporters also interviewed key figures from both sides immediately before the match.

ESPN reporter Craig Sager smiled broadly: "Hansen, this is your first Christmas Day game, and you're up against LeBron. Anything you want to say?"

Li He said with a smile, "Playing the Christmas game at home is very meaningful to me, and I will do my best to win this match."

"As for LeBron, there's not much to say."

The reporter then asked, "In the last game in Cleveland, your stats were similar. Are you confident you can outperform LeBron in this game?"

Li He shrugged: "You should watch the replay of LeBron's game to see how he got his stats from last game."

"I think that's pointless."

Since the two had already been at odds in front of the media, there was no need for them to hide anything during the interview.

Li He's sharp words left the reporter somewhat speechless.

The match hasn't even started yet, and you're already this angry?

In James's mind, Li He was also a very annoying person.

Ultimately, James, who entered the league absorbing all the hype and attention, should have been the undisputed strongest rookie.

As a result, Li He took the lead by a huge margin, which made You Zhan very unhappy.

This completely stole his thunder!

When interviewed by the media, he only said, "The competition doesn't lie," before getting into warm-up.

Time flew by, and the audience began to enter the venue.

The Rose Garden Arena was packed, and fans were eager to see how Hansen Lee would perform in his matchup against LeBron James.

In their minds, Hansen Lee is definitely a better player than LeBron James.

The Rose Garden Arena is relatively poorly managed, and many fans have unfurled small banners.

Zach Randolph and Rasheed Wallace were in a bit of a headache when they saw the fans unfurling banners.

They've seen far too many of these banners over the past few years.

Most of them are marked with the words "JailBlazers" to protest the team's poor performance.

Even though security guards would confiscate them if they saw them, many fans still protested in this way.

But upon closer inspection today...

Ok?

It seems there is no mention of "JailBlazers".

Instead, phrases like "HansonMVP!" were more common!

Rashid Wallace glanced at Li He, his eyes filled with deep envy.

Even if a player has a bad temper or is a terrible player, he still hopes to receive the support of the home crowd and hear enthusiastic cheers when he is playing on the court.

Li He also noticed the fans' support, and he waved to the fans from all directions after the warm-up.

Faced with the support of the fans, all Li He can do is put on a wonderful performance!

People from all walks of life also attended the event.

For example, Matt Groening, the author of "The Simpsons," and Gus Van Sant, the director of "Good Will Hunting," both currently reside in Portland.

The camera panned across the audience, finally settling on two men in suits.

One is Nike CEO William Perez;

The other one is CO00 Mark Parker.

Portland is Nike's headquarters, so getting to watch the game in person isn't difficult.

Of course, they weren't there to support the prison team.

Instead, they came to support "King James".

Nike signed LeBron James to a 7-year, $9000 million contract, and today, James' first signature shoe, the Nike Air Max, was released.

Zoom Generation is officially launched.

This also means that this game is of utmost importance.

Both William Perez and Mark Parker hope that LeBron James will deliver an epic performance so that these shoes will sell even better.

As for Hansen Lee, who has been performing exceptionally well recently, Nike's top management doesn't even consider him a threat.

Hansen Lee's public image is terrible and doesn't fit the positive image of a sports brand ambassador at all.

What makes him comparable to LeBron James?

Warm-up complete.

The competition has officially begun.

The starting players for both sides entered the game.

For the Trail Blazers, the backcourt pairing is Flying Squirrel and Li He;

The forwards are Ruben Paterson and Zach Randolph;

The center is Rasheed Wallace, nicknamed "The Roaring God".

It was a starting lineup with a notorious history of misdeeds, but it was incredibly fierce.

As for the visiting Cavaliers...

The backcourt pairing remains Darius Miles and Ricky Davis;

The twin towers in the paint are Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Carlos Boozer;

Finally, there's small forward "King James".

The match officially began as the referee tossed the ball high into the air!

At that moment, all the home fans in the Rose Garden Arena stood up!

They stand with the Trail Blazers on Christmas Day!

They will all sit down after the Trail Blazers score their first point!

Of course, there were also some awkward moments, such as when the Lakers' F4 made their debut, they had to wait several minutes before sitting down, but this also indirectly shows that the image of the prison team in the hearts of fans has been greatly improved.

On the field.

Rashid Wallace reacted faster, passing the ball to Ruben Paterson.

The Trail Blazers took the initiative on offense.

The little flying squirrel brought the ball to the frontcourt, and Li He had already circled out to receive it.

Facing Ricky Davis's defense, Li He suddenly started moving and launched a beautiful step-back three-pointer!

Swish!

A three-pointer swished through!

"Hanson For Threeeeeeeeee————!

"Hanson Lee is still on fire, hitting his signature three-pointer right from the start!"

"I wonder if Hansen Lee will break his personal scoring record in this game?!"

A burst of enthusiastic celebrations erupted in the Rose Garden, and the standing home fans took their seats to continue enjoying the game.

Seeing Li He sink a three-pointer, James responded with a long two-pointer of his own.

state!

Blacksmithing.

Li He immediately leaned over and said to James in a low voice, "LeBron, you still need to practice your shooting more!"

"Let me give you a tip. Your shooting form is wrong. Given your body structure, your legs should be spread wider."

Li He is definitely an expert in shooting form. Many NBA experts and retired players have analyzed his shooting form, which is absolutely textbook-level.

Seeing Li He's "kindness," James felt something was off.

Sure enough, the next moment.

Fearing that James might not understand, the thoughtful Li He even imitated the actions described, causing James's expression to change drastically.

Depend on!

That shooting form looks like a crab!

That's so ugly, I won't learn it!

"You're such a boring person," James retorted.

Li He shook his head helplessly, thinking to himself that his good intentions had been taken for granted.

This shooting form is a bit ugly, but it's still much more accurate than your shooting form when you were young LeBron.

Because it was a midday game, the players were not used to it, and both sides' offensive efficiency was not high at the beginning.

However, as the game progressed, the Trail Blazers launched the first offensive.

At 7 minutes and 02 seconds, the little squirrel broke through and passed to Li He at the right 45-degree angle. Facing Ricky Davis's defense, Li He took the shot again without hesitation.

Another three-pointer!

At 6 minutes and 11 seconds, Li He broke into the penalty area, drawing the defense, and gently tossed the ball into the air. Rashid Wallace caught the ball and slammed it home with a powerful dunk!

For the Cavaliers, James drove hard to the basket, drew a foul, and went to the free-throw line, helping the team stop their losing streak.

Unfortunately, he only made one of the two free throws.

With half of the first quarter gone, the Trail Blazers were leading 11-6.

Judging from the game, the Trail Blazers were completely dominating the Cavaliers.

They rely more on offense.

At 3 minutes and 15 seconds, Li He and Rasheed Wallace executed a pick-and-roll.

The Roaring Celestial's mobility and shooting ability are indeed a nightmare for big men centers. Boozer can only come out to defend, but he is obviously a step too slow.

Li He hit a three-pointer with the help of Rasheed Wallace's screen!

"Hanson Lee's 3th three-pointer is here!"

"So far, he's taken three shots, and they've all hit!"

"I have a feeling that Hansen Lee's three-pointers are going to explode in this game!"

Three consecutive three-pointers had already given Ricky Davis a headache. Whenever Li He stood outside the three-point line, he always felt like the opponent was about to score.

Just as the little squirrel passed the ball to Li He and he raised his hand to aim at the basket, Ricky Davis's body had already lunged forward uncontrollably.

As a result, Li He passed the ball back to Little Flying Squirrel and then cut towards the flank.

This is a one-two tactic similar to football, and the clever LeBron James understood it immediately.

But just as he was about to go and cover, Li He, who had cut in, suddenly changed course and ran towards the bottom corner of the defense.

Zach Randolph's off-ball screen blocked James's path.

The flying squirrel made a precise long pass.

Li He received the ball in the bottom corner, creating a huge open space!

He even had time to dribble and adjust!

"Hansen Lee takes a three-pointer from the corner!"

"BOOM!"

"Four consecutive three-pointers!"

"His shooting touch is off the charts today!"

"Absolutely unstoppable!"

The first quarter ended quickly, and thanks to Li He's outstanding performance, the Trail Blazers led the Cavaliers 26-18.

李贺首节5投5中，三分4中4，拿下14分。

He accounted for more than half of the team's points and also provided 3 assists.

The Trail Blazers fans watching the game were ecstatic.

Hansen Lee is a truly hardcore player; the more crucial the game, the better he performs!

LeBron James had a mediocre shooting night, going 1-for-4 from the field and 2-for-4 from the free-throw line, scoring only 4 points.

The two players were not even in the same league in the first quarter.

This left Nike executives speechless.

LeBron, today is the day your first signature shoe is released, you absolutely have to put on a great performance!

How could a number one draft pick be suppressed like this by a player who was drafted 16th?

They could only pray silently that James could adjust his form in the upcoming games, unleash his full potential, and lead the Cavaliers to a comeback!
