Chapter 149 God of Mischief, Alien

After Loki finished speaking, he walked directly off the stage.

He grabbed the short-haired old man closest to him and pressed him down onto the table next to him, which was used to display decorative vases.

He pulled a strangely shaped metal device from his pocket.

The thing was about the size of a palm, with three thin probes extending from its front end.

As the probe was aimed at the old man's eyeball, it opened simultaneously, emitting several sharp and short mechanical meshing sounds.

The next moment, he pressed the device directly into the man's eye socket.

A distorted scream escaped from the old man's throat.

The miniature motor inside the instrument hummed as the three probes retracted simultaneously, forcefully pulling something out from deep within the eye socket.

The powerful and influential people around finally realized what had happened.

Screams erupted simultaneously from several directions, and some people dropped their wine glasses, which shattered on the ground.

Some people turned and ran towards the gate, not even bothering to pick up their broken high heels.

Li En turned his head and casually asked the oil tycoon beside him, who hadn't moved an inch, "Who's that person being held down on the table?"

"An executive at a top German industrial security company whose company holds numerous military security contracts."

The old man leaned on his cane, his tone steady.

"As for why I was targeted by that guy in costume, I have no idea."

He spoke with an extremely relaxed expression.

Because he was standing right next to Li En.

Based on this alone, he had enough confidence to not take the uninvited guest who suddenly barged in seriously.

This is the reputation that Hellsword has truly built up over such a long period of time.

Frank, the evil spirit punisher who can send people's souls to hell, was ultimately just a captain under Lee En.

Standing next to Li En is safer than running anywhere else.

Those who rush out in a panic would be better off coming straight over here.

Li En nodded without saying anything more, just standing there watching Loki remove the bloody eyeball from the front of the instrument and casually toss it onto the table.

Loki straightened up, glanced at the panicked crowd rushing towards the door, and a smirk appeared on his lips.

He was clearly very satisfied with the picture.

He held the scepter and walked down the stage steps at a leisurely pace.

The moment his feet touched the marble floor of the hall, a golden light shone from his body, sweeping over him from head to toe.

After the light faded, the long robe he was wearing, which was a mix of dark green and dark gold, had been replaced by a meticulously tailored black suit, with the trim on the collar and cuffs gleaming with a faint dark gold sheen.

He walked through the scattering crowd and stood about three meters away from Li En.

The base of the scepter tapped lightly on the marble floor, producing a crisp clang.

He glanced around the hall at the dignitaries who hadn't yet managed to escape, and uttered two words in a low but penetrating voice.

"Kneel down."

The oil tycoon, leaning on his cane, smirked and turned to look at Li En, his tone carrying a hint of mischievousness typical of the elderly: "He told you to kneel down."

Li En, however, held the old man beside him in higher regard.

That's quite an attitude. Being able to make a witty remark without changing one's expression in such a situation isn't something that can be done just by being bold.

Of course, he could also see that the old man was so calm because he had great trust in him.

The other party genuinely believed that as long as they stood by Li En's side, Loki wouldn't be able to cause any trouble.

At least this oil tycoon's vision was far superior to that of the group of powerful figures behind him who huddled together, barely daring to breathe.

In the few seconds it took for the two to speak, many people behind them squatted down, put their hands behind their heads, and their posture was so perfect that it looked like they had practiced it.

There were also some people whose knees hadn't touched the ground, but whose waists were already visibly bent. Zi Guang looked over his slightly trembling shoulders and stared straight at Li En, who was standing at the very front of everyone.

They weren't waiting for Loki's next threat, but for Lee's reaction.

If even Lee Eun knelt down, then they would kneel down without hesitation.

Loki naturally witnessed this scene.

He immediately fixed his gaze on Li En's face.

"Thor's ally," he said, his tone now carrying a hint of scrutiny.

"If you acknowledge me as your king now, you can be exempt from kneeling."

Li En rubbed his wrist, met Loki's gaze, and said in a calm tone, "The feudal monarchy has been overthrown here for a long time. This approach doesn't work."

"Is that so?" Loki's smile remained unchanged, but the temperature in his eyes dropped a few degrees.

He raised his scepter, the tip pointing at Li En's chest. The movement wasn't fast; it was a deliberate, slowed-down composure.

"That's a real shame. I was hoping to preserve your last bit of dignity."

The tip of the scepter touched Li En's chest.

Loki smiled.

"Now, kneel down."

Nothing happened.

Li En stood still, motionless, without even blinking.

Loki's smile froze for a moment.

He retracted his scepter and struck it again, this time with even more force. The tip of the scepter struck Li En's chest with a dull thud.

There was still no response.

"I told you to kneel down!"

Undeterred, he raised his hand again, this time with significantly greater force. When he slammed the scepter down, it was no longer a point, but almost a stab.

The tip of the cane struck Li En's chest solidly, but the sound was no longer a dull thud, but a crisp metallic clang—clang.

It's like knocking on a metal plate hidden under clothes.

Li En lowered his head, glanced at the scepter pressed against his chest, and then looked up at Loki: "You spoke to me on the monitor over there in the lab, so you should have known I was watching."

Do you think I wouldn't be on guard against your mind-controlling magic?

He paused, his voice carrying a faint hint of coldness that was almost not mockery.

"You are too arrogant, Loki."

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly raised his right hand and gripped the middle of the scepter with his five fingers.

Loki instinctively tried to pull the scepter back, but the force emanating from it was so great that his pupils suddenly contracted.

Li En's right hand remained motionless, like a piece of iron welded to the air.

Then he stepped out with his left foot, moved his body forward, and pressed down hard with his right hand gripping the scepter.

Loki's fingers were forced to loosen under the immense torque.

If he continues to hold on, the bones in his wrist will be snapped by that force in the next second.

The scepter fell into Li En's hands.

Loki took a half step back, shaking his wrist which was numb from the twisting, and roared angrily, his once elegant and composed face now contorted with rage: "You barbarian! You're just like Thor!"

Li En ignored him.

He glanced down at the scepter in his hand and tried to put it into his spatial storage.

No, it won't fit, just like the Rubik's Cube.

This is probably a characteristic of the Infinity Stones.

His spatial storage cannot contain objects that involve the laws of the universe.

Since it won't fit, let's try a different way of using it.

He gripped the middle of the scepter, adjusted the angle of his grip, and then swung the scepter cleanly and decisively toward Loki's head.

The scepter traced a straight line without any extra arc the moment it left the hand.

With a crisp thud, the staff slammed solidly into the back of Loki's head.

The god of mischief fell forward, slamming face down onto the marble floor with a thud even more muffled than the previous blow.

Li En gave him no chance to turn over, stepping forward and bending his right knee to press Loki's spine firmly to the ground.

At the same time, he reached out with his left hand and pulled out a specially made giant syringe from his spatial storage.

This syringe is much thicker than a regular medical needle, with a gold-titanium alloy tip and the Umbrella Laboratory number engraved on the side of the syringe.

He flicked off the protective cap of the needle with one hand, aimed it at the blood vessel on the side of Loki's neck, and inserted it directly, then pulled the piston sharply with his thumb.

A tube of pale blue liquid quickly gushed into the syringe.

That's not the color of blood that any living creature on Earth would have.

Countless tiny ice crystals are suspended inside the blue liquid, slowly swirling within the tube, each tumble refracting a faint, cold white luster.

It's completely different from Thor's blood.

Thor's blood was red, with fine, intense golden specks floating within it, like melted sparks sealed into his veins.

Loki's blood is cold, exuding a chill that doesn't belong to the normal temperature world from beginning to end.

Just as Li En finished drawing up the syringe and was about to remove the needle, he suddenly noticed that the outer wall of the syringe had begun to frost over.

Fine ice crystals spread rapidly from the inside of the tube outwards.

Without saying a word, he directly put the entire vial of blood, along with the syringe, into his spatial storage.

Loki, who was pinned to the ground, finally recovered from the dizziness of the blow.

His hair was disheveled and stuck to his forehead, and there was a visible bump on the back of his head.

When the voice finally escaped her throat, it had lost its previous effortless elegance, leaving only suppressed shame and anger.

"I am Loki, son of Odin, the king of gods, the god of mischief! How dare you treat me like this!"

"Aliens, be quiet."

Lee En didn't lower his head, his knees still pressing on his spine, his right hand gripping the scepter he had taken from Loki, and he was currently in a bit of a dilemma.

He was thinking about how to get rid of this hot potato, Shan Qian.

The problem is—too much effort won't work either.

Loki wasn't stupid. If he acted too casually, the guy might see through his act.

He needed to come up with a way that was natural enough to allow Loki to escape smoothly.

But to be honest, this guy's fighting ability is definitely not a level below his brother Thor's. It would take some brains to create an opportunity for him to escape in the chaos.

Just as he was pondering how to release the person, a sudden, urgent alarm sounded from his watch.

Barron's voice boomed out immediately, rapid-fire and strained: "Boss Li En! A high-speed object is falling from the sky—watch out!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than a thick bolt of lightning shattered the ceiling into pieces.

The crystal chandelier broke into several pieces in mid-air, crashing onto the marble floor with crackling arcs of electricity, scattering glass shards everywhere.

The group of dignitaries who hadn't yet run out of the hall screamed simultaneously, and several of them immediately covered their heads and squatted down.

Immediately afterwards, a figure wrapped in residual electric light crashed straight down to the ground through the hole in the ceiling.

When they landed, their feet landed on the shattered remains of the chandelier, causing the already broken floor tiles to sink even further.

The thunder dissipated.

Thor stood in the center of the hall, holding Mjolnir, his armor still bearing a few wisps of lingering electricity.

His gaze swept across the entire arena and landed on Loki, who was pinned to the ground by Li En. His expression instantly became extremely complex.

He took a few steps forward, squatted down in front of Loki, remained silent for several seconds, and then spoke in a voice filled with complex emotions.

"Where is the Cosmic Cube?"

"My dear brother Thor," Loki lifted his face from the floor, a trace of liquid, whether saliva or blood, still clinging to the corner of his mouth.

"Can't you see what I look like now? This is an insult to the Asgardian royal family!"

Thor's eyebrow twitched.

The dignitaries in the hall were all stunned.

Thor, the god of thunder in Norse mythology who wielded Mjolnir and perished alongside the serpent Jormungandr, stood vividly before them.

And judging from this, he knows Li En.

They witnessed with their own eyes how Li En had knocked a bump out of someone's brother's head and how he had pinned the boy to the ground with his knee, rendering him unable to move.

Who knows if Thor will get angry next?

Several quick-thinking individuals had already quietly moved away, shrinking into the corner of the hall.

Even the oil tycoon who was just calmly making witty remarks has now quietly blended into the deepest part of the crowd, only showing half his face to observe the situation.

Thor did not fly into a rage as they had imagined.

He simply knelt on one knee and reached out with his right hand to grab Loki's neck.

The movements were rough, but the force was clearly restrained. Then he raised his head and looked at Li En.

"Leave your ally to me."

Li En glanced down at Loki, then at Thor, and said nothing more.

He removed his knee from Loki's spine and stood up.

"Then it's up to you."

"Thanks."

Thor grabbed Loki by the neck with his left hand and lifted him off the ground.

Loki struggled as his feet left the ground, muttering curses, but Thor's pinch made even his curses intermittent.

Thor ignored him, turning Mjolnir with his right hand. The hammer spun faster and faster under his palm, and the resulting wind pressure pushed away all the scattered shards of glass and dust.

Then he swung the hammer violently, and he and the still writhing dark green figure he was holding shot into the sky through the hole in the ceiling, turning into a point of light in the night sky that could no longer be seen within seconds.

The thunder gradually faded away, and the hall fell silent again.

The remaining powerful figures peeked out from the corners, from behind overturned tables, and from between each other's shoulders.

Only after confirming that the Asgardian prince had indeed been dragged away did he slowly straighten up.
