Chapter 93 Adolescence
Chapter 93 Adolescence
Natasha Romanoff didn't get much information from Salomon, only things like that Salomon had a few very capable women around him. But even Nick Fury wouldn't think Natasha had gotten little information, because Salomon and he had spent so much time in Amsterdam's red-light district (just to eat), and Nick Fury hadn't seen Salomon show any weakness. He didn't act like a typical high school student at all.
It could also be because the girls haven't gotten up yet.
As per the agreement, Nick Fury helped Salomon establish connections at Eton College. The headmaster, extremely familiar with such matters, quickly agreed. It's important to understand that Eton is a prestigious private school, attended by many political figures' children, including members of the royal family. The headmaster was able to swiftly arrange the schedules of students who needed to attend events.
However, due to the contractual obligations, Nick Fury could not reveal Salomon's information, so MI6's attempts to probe the matter were unsuccessful. This matter did not become widely known, because MI6 is a non-existent organization; the British government would never acknowledge its existence, even if the public was familiar with it.
Salomon was assigned a single room with a private bathroom, a result of his King's Scholarship and his connection to S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, the rules of this old Eton dormitory were much stricter—no loud noise, no running in the hallways, everyone had to be neatly dressed when leaving the dormitory, and lights out at a set time. Even though only King's Scholarship recipients could live here, people often applied to move out because they couldn't tolerate the rules. Salomon was very satisfied with the environment and rules, because none of the people who stayed were spoiled brats; the quiet environment was exactly what he needed.
After visiting the statue of Henry VI, he was led into his dormitory by the warden, where he bought the daily necessities and stationery he needed, as well as a pile of textbooks and extracurricular books, including but not limited to Shakespeare's Hamlet and Macbeth. But Salomon's favorite was still the line from The Merchant of Venice, "Why does a man with hot blood in his veins sit so upright, like a plaster cast of his ancestor?" It was truly a classic.
Salomon arrived just in time; he could still catch lunch at 1:50 PM. After quickly joining a few clubs, he finished his day's activities. On the first day of school, the headmaster only hoped that the pampered young masters could quickly adapt to the full-time school environment, so he didn't assign too many tasks. Salomon returned to his dormitory, sealed his bedroom door with magic, and then directed his servants—invisible servants—to clean and make the bed. This spell didn't require his concentration to maintain, so he put on his sling ring, opened a portal, and returned to Kamar-Taj.
"You might not believe it, but after getting used to the cold, crisp air of the mountains, I actually had some difficulty breathing when I returned to the warm, damp ground." Salomon walked towards Kasirios in the training ground. "Before I even greeted my classmates, I spotted several couples. It's unbelievable."
"Isn't there anything you need to do there?" Cassirios put his hand on Salomon's shoulder. "Clubs, lecturing—you should at least look at your textbooks!"
"I'm here to deliver a check." Salomon took a check out of his tuxedo pocket. "This is enough for us to buy a new car, even better than our old one."
"Oh, oh! Be careful, you'll anger the people of Detroit. That city only has two jobs, and you've insulted one of them. Our car isn't as bad as you say, is it?" Even in Kamar-Taj, Kasirius still combed his short, gray hair back. He smiled as he took the check, not checking the amount, but looking intently at Salomon's face. "You haven't explained anything about S.H.I.E.L.D. on the phone. Did S.H.I.E.L.D. discover Kamar-Taj?"
“All they know is a name, they don’t even know where we are,” Salomon said. “In contrast, I have a contract with the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., which prevents him from revealing any information he knows about Kamar-Taj, whether in written documents or electronic devices. He can’t even say the name of Kamar-Taj without my consent—a clause he initially disagreed with. A Vishanti magical contract is still a magical contract, much more trustworthy than capitalists.”
“I’ve been worried about you,” Cassirios said, “asking you to face those old foxes. They’re some of the most cunning people out there, and I’m afraid you might fall into their trap.”
"Alright, I know this is because I haven't had any contact with the outside world for many years that makes you doubt me. Perhaps you won't be as opposed to the task the Venerable One gave me as before. If it weren't for the previous task, I probably wouldn't even greet people. Now I have to learn how to speak."
"You're right, but only part of it. Overall, I'm still against most of the mission content." Cassirios patted Salomon on the shoulder. "Now, go enjoy your student life. If you get bored, you can try ruling those rich kids with a belt."
"Hmph, a filthy, vulgar American prison joke." Salomon waved his hand. "See you after dinner."
--------------
"You smell of blood." Bayonetta rested her head on Salomon's lap, cradling the gray shorthair cat in her arms. "You got into a fight with your classmate on your very first day?"
"A few idiots' nosebleeds wouldn't smell this strong." Salomon stroked Bayonetta's thick, long black hair, trying not to look away, because Bayonetta was dressed far too lightly. But after all, this was her residence, and he couldn't expect too much. He said, "I was attacked, and the only survivor of the attack will have to eat with a straw from now on."
"Who?" Bayonetta asked casually.
"Don't worry, I've taken care of it, including the attacker's superior," Salomon said. "Now, S.H.I.E.L.D. won't bother me."
"Oh? A female spy?" Bayonetta conjured a pistol out of thin air, held it to Salomon's chin, and said, "Is that perfume you're wearing the scent of another female spy? Or several? It's truly heartbreaking, Boya, you've cheated on me."
"You know perfectly well I didn't do anything with the female spy, Bayonetta. I'm still a minor," Salomon said helplessly, not even glancing at his pistol, continuing to play with Bayonetta's long hair. Ever since Salomon had to go to school and Joan of Arc had to go to work, Bayonetta's boredom had become increasingly unbearable. Everyone else had something to do, but she was the only one bored out of her mind—the Ragnarok had gone bankrupt, their high technology had been looted by spies from various countries, and the angels the nun had summoned were only minor characters, terrified by Jubilee's death.
Bayonetta tossed aside the pistol, wrapped her soft, white arms around Salomon's neck, and the gray shorthair cat tumbled off the sofa. The Cheshire Cat meowed in discontent, but its protests were never heeded.
"Does that mean it's okay once you're an adult?" she said. "You don't get to decide, I do. Now, nobody can smell that bitch's perfume anymore."
"Do you know this behavior is similar to that of wild animals, Bayonetta?" Salomon's muffled voice rang out. "You're acting like a lioness right now."
"I always have," Bayonetta said nonchalantly. "You're already my prey, Boya. You can't escape."
"Alright, you decide." Bayonetta only let go after Salomon lightly kissed her bare, soft skin.
"You've grown up now, and it's time for your big sister to teach you some adult things." She licked her lips. "But I've never dealt with teenage boys before, and human heat cycles are really tricky."
"I'm leaving now, Bayonetta." Salomon kissed Bayonetta's hand again, looking a little embarrassed. "I don't want to stunt my growth."
"Then you should eat more, okay? Big sister won't give up her high heels for you." Bayonetta blinked. "Also, don't use your hands to do it yourself, okay? Teenage boys like to do that. You can tell big sister, and I'll help you."

"You should know that the power of gods isn't just in physical strength; their senses are far superior to those of ordinary people," Athena said. "I can smell two different perfumes on you right now. Are there two other mature women at Eton College?"
"One is a female spy, and the other is a witch," Salomon answered truthfully.
"Is this what teenage boys are like? Not satisfied with messing with one witch? Now they've got themselves saddled with a female spy?" Athena rolled her eyes. "It's nine o'clock at night. Shouldn't you be at school right now?"
"I'm here to pick up some books, Athena," Salomon said helplessly. "I really don't understand why European schools assign so much extreme homework. Do they expect high school students to become scientists these days?"
“I’m a scientist too, kid!” Athena said. “I have a Ph.D. in genetics, which I taught myself to study what happened to those kids. Guess what? I passed, and I also studied ‘classical’ literature—which is more like news to me, not really classical—I’ve studied at every university in Europe, so it wasn’t a big deal.”
"I knew it. There aren't many people in this world with a Ph.D. that I wouldn't dare say hello to," Salomon said. "It's a pity that female spies and witches don't have any academic qualifications."
"Then you should get rid of that kind of woman, Salomon. A woman without education has no future," Athena said with utmost seriousness.
"Your tone is as if you were my mother, Athena."
"I am you! I raised you, the Sorcerer Supreme and I are your mothers! Kid, shut up now! Stay away from those women, go get a few Ph.D. certificates before you think about women!"
"I'm still a minor."
"Do you know how many heroes I've seen fall because of women? You should know..."
Salomon rolled his eyes again.
