Chapter 58 Go quickly and invite the Supreme Master!

When Salomon and Bayonetta returned to the Hell's Gate bar, he was already sitting calmly on the sofa. The Christian Easter is a festival based on the biblical account of Jesus' resurrection on the third day after being crucified. The Ragnarok's Easter, however, is a specific date directly designated by the Izhar group—which is quite unsettling. It doesn't feel like a celebration, but rather a notification, as if telling people that the Ragnarok's Easter isn't just a legend, and that their God is truly rising again.

"An interesting deduction." Rodin continued wiping the glass, agreeing with Salomon's reasoning. Even when speaking in long sentences, his tone was rhythmic. "But no one has ever seen Badr, the president of the Izawell Group. No one knows what he's up to, or even whether he's alive or dead. The Eye of Agamotto, the Time Stone, is said to possess the power to manipulate time in the universe. It's uncertain whether only the five cosmic entities are immune to its control; any other organic, inorganic, energy, or otherwise chaotic entity is susceptible to its manipulation, even Dormammu, the lord of the Dark Dimension. Sometimes Salomon even wonders if the Vishanti are also controlled by the Time Stone's flow of time, and whether Agamotto's abandonment of this treasure was also the will of the Eternal God.

Perhaps he had too many conspiracy theories, but Salomon still tended to assume the worst about anyone with a vested interest. This was a side effect of his stigmata memories; while learning magic, he also learned the methods of murdering apprentices and mentors. Then there's the difference in treatment between Luca and the ordinary people Salomon treated when hunting werewolves and vampires—the former were hindered and even attacked by the wizards who came to hunt them, creating a life-or-death situation with clear, unyielding stances. Luca, however, is a family member of a victim in a mysterious event and has a natural right to know, which is why Salomon explained so much to him. Furthermore, after signing the contract, the mysterious event could not be revealed, rendering Luca harmless to Kamar-Taj. From Salomon's perspective, there was no need to do anything more to Luca.

Spreading malice towards strangers at any time and place is pure chaos and evil, which doesn't fit the protagonist. Salomon is in the lawful camp, but even within lawful, there's a distinction between neutral and evil. I wrote this a long time ago: Salomon will undergo some mental changes when receiving memories. His last shred of conscience was used up when he told Luca he needed to carry a gun.
