Three months ago, Domenech used many connections and spent a considerable amount of money to find a priest of the Earth God Church to treat him. The priest told him that ordinary treatments could not cure his illness, and the only way to be cured was either to become a wizard or to find a pharmacist among the wizards to treat him!"

"Bernardo previously revealed to Domenech that the Ferguson family's ancestors were wizards, and the secret documents in the family library might contain methods to become a wizard. And as you know, the Ferguson family's rules are that those secret documents are only accessible to the head of the family and the first in line to the throne!"

"Although Domenech is a family elder, he has no right to access them. Therefore, within the rules, he cannot see those secret documents. So, to obtain those secret documents, he must break the rules. And that old man Martinez is the defender of your Ferguson family rules. That's the fundamental reason why he supports you becoming the head of the Ferguson family and wants to get rid of Martinez!"

"Jack, you don't need to worry about Domenech at all. The last meeting of the family elders was just an exception. Martinez had something on you, and Bernardo is a fence-sitter. Seeing how powerful Martinez was, he immediately switched sides. So even if Domenech wanted to help you then, he was powerless!"

Even if the secret documents really contain a way to become a wizard, it belongs to me, Jack Ferguson, not to Domenech!"

Seeing how much Jack Ferguson valued the secret documents in the family library, Eugenia seemed somewhat surprised, frowning and unsure of what to say for a moment.

"Eugenia, you're a shrewd woman. You can't afford to be foolish now. You need to think this through. Things have clearly come to this point between us; there's no longer any affection between us. But at least I'm still Henry's father. What I get, he should naturally get a share. But Domenech has nothing to do with Henry. He got his hands on those secret documents from the family library.
