Wizard Earl

Chapter 890 The Death of Zivkovic

Hearing Zhivkovic's words, Connor vaguely realized what the old man meant by "benefits," but to lull Zhivkovic into a false sense of security, he hesitated for a moment, then feigned a sinister smile and said menacingly to Zhivkovic, "Kill you, old bastard, and all the benefits you get will be mine!"

"No! You're mistaken. The benefit I'm talking about isn't in my spatial ring, it's right here with me!" With that, the disheveled Zivkovic, leaning on his cane, pointed to his head, gesturing to Connor. Then he gave Connor a deep look, before putting on a very sincere expression and saying:

"Sir, I know you are a psychic wizard with immense mental power, and you are very skilled at soul searching. But my mind is different. Someone has placed a restriction on my mind. Even if you kill me, it will be very difficult for you to break this restriction in my mind!"

"Sir, although I don't know who you are, I believe you know that our Golovin tribe is just a small tribe with about twenty shamans. Although everything that happened in this wooden village looks like it was done by us, without a big boss backing us up and planning things, do you think our Golovin tribe would dare to do this? Do you think we have the ability to do this?"

"So even though your soul-searching is truly amazing, sir, breaking through the restrictions in my divine sea and learning that secret from my mind, you will definitely regret doing it, because you will be hunted down to death by an extremely terrifying organization!"

When he said the last four words, "hunted to death," Zivkovic deliberately emphasized them, as if he were hinting at something to Connor!

Zivkovic's words immediately put Connor on alert, but on the surface, the red-haired one-eyed man he was playing still feigned disdain, saying to Zivkovic with a hint of sarcasm, "Do you think I'm a three-year-old child who can be fooled by your few words? Don't tell me you've been given a mental block so you can still tell me that secret!"

Seeing Connor say this, Zivkovic smiled slightly and said with some pride, "You're right. In order to obtain this opportunity, I did allow the other party to place a restriction in my mind, and this restriction does indeed prevent me from telling anyone this secret."

"But I'm not stupid enough to let those people do whatever they want. The reason I agreed to let them place a restriction in my mind is because I have a treasure. With the help of this treasure, the restriction in my mind will be temporarily blocked for three minutes. During those three minutes, I can tell you everything I know about that incredible benefit!"

After speaking, under Connor's gaze, Zivkovic took out a large black umbrella from his spatial ring and showed it to Connor.

After carefully examining Zivkovic's large black umbrella, Connor remained silent, pointing to the umbrella in Zivkovic's hand and asking, "What should I do?"

Seeing that Connor was gradually taking the bait, Zivkovic was overjoyed and immediately explained to Connor without hesitation, "It's very simple. I just need to open the umbrella, and then you and I can stand under it together. With the help of this umbrella, I can temporarily block out the restrictions in my mind and tell you everything I know!"

Seemingly intrigued by the plan Zhivkovic had mentioned, Connor looked at the umbrella in Zhivkovic's hand and continued to ask, "Oh! Is that so? Well, if I let you go, what if you and your big boss come after me?"

Hearing Connor's words, Zivkovic, who was impatient inside, still put on a bitter face and sighed, saying, "Sir, you are the Kaman Wizard who left here to return to the Kaman Empire. Your country is vast, and there's also that colony on the Hoy Continent. Where am I supposed to find you? Besides, if I tell you the secret, it's the same as betraying my boss. If my boss finds out, I'll only have one way out: death. I'm not that stupid..."

As Zivkovic was speaking eloquently, Connor once again conjured the Pluton. Before Zivkovic could react, the Pluton, under Connor's control, pierced through his heart and destroyed it.

Although his heart was destroyed, Zhivkovic's vitality was still quite tenacious; he didn't die immediately. On the verge of death, his eyes glazed over as he stared at the spear that had pierced his heart, disbelief filling his gaze. However, despite this, a few seconds later, he collapsed to the ground, dying at Connor's hands…

Looking at Zivkovic's corpse on the ground and the large umbrella beside it, Connor reached out and summoned the umbrella that Zivkovic had taken from his spatial ring. Slowly opening the umbrella, Connor looked up and saw that it was exactly as he had expected. The inside of the black umbrella, although it looked the same as the outside, made of black fabric, one could vaguely see that many Odin runes were engraved on the black fabric inside, runes that were not on the surface of the black umbrella.

Seeing this, Connor shook his head disdainfully, then sneered at the corpse of Zivkovic lying on the ground, "Zivkovic, although I decided to kill you from the beginning, your biggest mistake was that you didn't know I was an alchemist! Tsk tsk tsk, traps like the Datro Mechanism, such old-fashioned traps, I guess only you Odin barbarians still use them. Trying to trick me with this thing, you're really treating everyone else like fools!"

If Connor had listened to Zivkovic and entered under the large black umbrella, there would be no doubt that Zivkovic would have activated the mechanism on the umbrella to trick Connor without hesitation. Connor, who originally wanted to extract information from Zivkovic, realized that this old man was playing dumb with him, trying to turn the tables, and had no intention of telling him the secrets he knew. Naturally, he would not keep Zivkovic around any longer!

After dealing with Zivkovic, Connor immediately began his next task: examining Zivkovic's mind. Although Zivkovic himself had said that his head was bound by a restriction, Connor couldn't simply believe whatever he said. Connor had to personally verify the state of Zivkovic's mind to see if he could use his soul-searching technique on Zivkovic!
