Hearing Connor's words, Isabella seemed to lose her temper. She glared at Connor and said, "Yes, I said those things, but Connor Ferguson, don't you even look at what you wanted?"

"You want 15,000 Light Magic Stones alone! And then there's Mithril, Azure Gemstones, Dark Sand... These are all rare materials. You're an alchemist; don't you know their value better than I do?"

Despite knowing his request was excessive, and that what he wanted was far more valuable than Alberto's ice magic, Connor, wanting Varga to break through to become a first-level wizard, still shamelessly said, "Your royal family is so wealthy and powerful, this little thing is nothing to you!"

Hearing Connor's outrageous words, Isabella was absolutely furious. However, before she could say anything, the person sitting beside her on the sofa, who hadn't said a word, finished reading Connor's list and said in a deep voice, "Connor Ferguson, you have eleven items on your list. You know very well that even if Isabella made a promise to you, we can't possibly give you all of these items. Therefore, I've made the decision: you can choose five items from this list!"

After Adolf finished speaking, Connor's expression remained unchanged, but his heart sank. Adolf was right; he had listed eleven materials on the list, each of which was extremely precious. Of course, he did not expect Isabella and Adolf, the old man and the young man, to gather all eleven materials and hand them over to him because of a promise Isabella made.

Since she wasn't counting on Adolf, Isabella gathered these eleven materials and gave them to her, even listing them on a list. Connor's purpose was to confuse the situation; after all, both Adolf and Isabella would be curious about what he wanted these rare materials for.

Connor was able to tell Adolf and Isabella the truth: his woman, Varga, wanted to break through to become a first-level wizard, but he was currently short of money and did not have the resources to do so, so he came to them to ask for resources.

Whether it's to protect Varga or to save face, Connor would never say that to Adolf and Isabella.

Therefore, Connor needed to add other rare resources to the list of several breakthrough resources that Varga needed, resulting in a total of eleven materials.

After explaining these things, Connor added, "The quantities of these five ingredients are already marked on the list. Mail them to Ferguson Manor within a week!"

"Okay!" After giving Connor a deep look, Adolf nodded and agreed to Connor's request.

After finishing their business, Connor had nothing more to say to Isabella and Adolf, so he turned and left. Although Corecia Manor was like a maze, Connor had already explored it once, so it wouldn't be difficult for him anymore!

After Connor left Corecia Manor, Isabella frowned and said to Adolf, "Professor Adolf, the five materials Connor Ferguson asked for are quite valuable..."

He gave up 15,000 magic stones and chose Dark Cage Sand and Kustanai Sand Gold, his purpose being to mislead us, to make us think that he was going to use these materials to refine some kind of enchanted item!"

"But in reality, Connor Ferguson is using Doron sandalwood, the core of the Corsado giant lizard, and the essence of the dark star to construct some kind of array to help a high-level wizard apprentice with life energy break through. Connor is willing to take the risk for this person and come here to find us, which shows that Connor and this person have a very close relationship!" At this point, Adolf looked at Isabella.
