Wizard Earl

Chapter 859 Goodbye Isabella

Aryan, a town on the outskirts of Frosinone.

Several hours had passed since his fight with Prince Boateng at Goodison Park. Connor, who had returned to his residence, was sitting cross-legged in his room, shirtless, healing his wounds. Several empty bottles of medicine were placed in front of him, and as he circulated his energy and the medicine took effect, black blood occasionally seeped from his body through his pores.

Within just a few hours, Connor had clashed with two veteran first-level wizards, Robelli and Prince Boateng. With the help of the magic radiation and alchemical mechanisms, Connor's record of killing one and severely injuring the other was nothing short of brilliant. Even more miraculously, Connor did not suffer any serious injuries in the battles with these two. The greatest damage he had ever sustained was only when Prince Boateng's azure hammer struck his right shoulder.

While there were no major injuries, Connor still sustained many minor injuries from these two battles. The most serious of these was the blow to his right shoulder from the Azure Hammer. Even with the protection of his dark armor, Connor's right shoulder was dislocated and his right arm was fractured. Several bones on the right side of his body were also broken by the impact.

Such an injury isn't particularly serious, after all, fractures and dislocations are just hard injuries. With a period of rest, he can fully recover without any sequelae and it won't affect Connor's future training. However, it's not exactly minor either. Conservatively speaking, Connor will need at least six months of rest and should fight as much as possible within the next three months. Otherwise, if he gets injured in the same spot again, it will only worsen the injury!

Nevertheless, Connor was still very grateful to have been hit by the Azure Hammer. Without the protection of his dark armor, given the terrifying power of the Azure Hammer, Connor would most likely have lost his right arm.

Besides the injury to his right shoulder, Connor also had seven or eight minor injuries, such as blood stasis and toxins entering his body. However, these were all minor ailments, not worth mentioning. Connor could recover his health within a month after taking a few bottles of medicine.

Seeing that he had forced out most of the blood clots in his body, a look of hatred flashed in Connor's eyes. Then, he pressed his left hand against his right shoulder and pushed it upwards forcefully.

"Crack!"

A sharp crack came from Connor's right shoulder, and a look of pain appeared on Connor's angular face. However, he managed to put his dislocated right shoulder back in place.

After taking two deep breaths and taking several more vials of medicine, Connor finally put the broken bones in his right arm and right side back into place, ending his treatment. He then put on his shirt and left the room.

As Connor stepped out of his room, his gaze unconsciously drifted to the innermost room in the courtyard—Valga's room, her potion-making chamber. Ever since Connor confessed his affair with Margaret to Valga, she hadn't allowed him into that room again…

"well·········"

Connor sighed softly. After being honest with Varga, he seemed to have been too optimistic, thinking he would soon be able to enjoy the bliss of having two women. Unfortunately, although his idea was wonderful, things did not develop as he expected. So many days had passed, but Varga was still as cold as ice to him, without any of her previous gentleness, tenderness and charm.

Shaking his head, just as Connor was about to head to the basement in the yard, Varga's door suddenly opened. Under Connor's gaze, Varga, expressionless, walked towards him with a first-aid kit in her hand. Seeing this, Connor was overjoyed, thinking that Varga had finally come to terms with things. Just as Connor was about to say something, when she was still five meters away from him, Varga suddenly threw the first-aid kit at him and walked towards her room without looking back.

Connor, looking bewildered and somewhat disappointed, took the medicine box from mid-air and watched Varga return to her room. However, something unexpected happened again: without any warning, the door to the courtyard was gently knocked on.

"Tap! Tap! Tap!"

Upon hearing the knocking, Connor immediately cast aside his disappointment and became alert. He channeled his mental energy towards the courtyard door. From Connor's current position to the door, there was a distance of about fifteen meters. Although he had been somewhat relaxed in his vigilance because he was in his safe house and had been preoccupied with Varga, the fact that the person outside the door could enter within twenty meters of Connor, a mental wizard, without him noticing, was enough to show that the person knocking was no ordinary individual!

Connor's expression instantly turned serious as he sensed who was knocking on the door outside the courtyard. He couldn't understand why, even though the town of Aryan was remote enough, the other party had still managed to find him!

Varga, who was about to return to her room, stopped in her tracks when she saw Connor's reaction to the knock on the door. She became a little nervous and looked at Connor with a questioning gaze.

After some deliberation, Connor made a decision. He first waved gently to Varga, signaling her to relax and not worry. Then he put the medicine box into his spatial ring and walked to the door to open it. Standing outside the door was a mysterious person whose face and figure were covered by a black robe.

"What are you doing here?" Connor, already recognizing the mysterious figure in black robes outside the door, showed no intention of letting him in and spoke expressionlessly:

Listening to Connor's words, and looking at Varga not far behind Connor, the black-robed woman took off her hood that was covering her face, revealing her stunningly beautiful face. It turned out that this person was none other than Isabella, who had followed Adolf's advice and come to the town of Aryan to find Connor.

"Aren't you going to invite me in?" Having revealed her true identity, Isabella stood outside the courtyard door, not directly answering Connor's question, but instead changing the subject:

"There's nothing to say between us. I'll give you five seconds to get out of my sight, or don't blame me for being rude!" Although Isabella was alone outside the door and her ever-present gray-robed elder, Adolf, was nowhere to be seen, Connor remained composed and coldly addressed Isabella:
