Chapter 840 Magic Gold Radiation
When Connor Ferguson realized that the appearance of Payer Morgen meant that things would not end well for him and Robbie, he suddenly thought of a possibility while researching Payer Morgen: Payer Morgen was a very rare and mysterious alchemical material in the wizarding world.
As an alchemist, Connor had only seen descriptions of Paye Magic Gold in alchemical texts. He had never seen what refined Paye Magic Gold looked like, and he had never seen its true form before obtaining it from Robelli.
From this perspective, Robelli, an old man who only learned rudimentary alchemy techniques and never underwent formal alchemy training, may very well have never seen what refined Paye Magic Gold looks like.
Upon realizing this, Connor immediately understood that if things were really as he thought, then as an alchemist, he would have a great deal of room to maneuver!
Although Connor is not confident in refining Paye Magic Gold, if he were to fuse Paye Magic Gold with other metals and make the resulting metal resemble Paye Magic Gold with minimal impurities, this would still be somewhat difficult for him with his current alchemy skills. However, with the help of the auxiliary chip's terrifying computational and analytical capabilities, it would be highly probable.
With this idea in mind, Connor began to think it over carefully. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that this was a good opportunity that he could take advantage of. So after some deliberation, he decided to combine the several pieces of magic gold with the magic gold radiation in his hands with Paye magic gold to set a radiation trap for Robelli.
As we all know, the presence of energy inevitably leads to the presence of radiation. As a general term for various types of metals that contain energy, it can be said that no matter what type of magic metal it is, as long as it contains energy, it will inevitably emit radiation.
The only difference is that the radiation intensity contained in each piece of magic gold is different. Some of the very few pieces of magic gold with high radiation intensity can cause your body to deteriorate within seconds if you keep them near you. However, the radiation produced by 99% of magic gold has virtually no effect on wizards.
For alchemists, magic radiation is something they both crave and fear. They crave it because of its immense power and the way it is used, which is very covert. When using magic radiation against an enemy, the opponent may not even notice your actions before being hit!
The reason why it is feared like a tiger is that, to date, no alchemy technique in the Wizarding World has been able to control more than 60% of the mage radiation. In other words, mage radiation is an uncontrollable form of attack.
Its attacks are extremely domineering and indiscriminate, showing no mercy just because you are its user. So, if you want to use the Magic Gold Radiation, you are likely to hurt yourself first and then hurt others.
If Connor hadn't possessed the powerful computing capabilities of the auxiliary chip, which allowed him to reduce the risk of magic metal radiation to a completely controllable level, and if he hadn't happened to have several pieces of magic metal containing high-intensity radiation that he had kept in his spatial ring without ever having the chance to use them, Connor wouldn't have chosen to take such a huge risk and use magic metal radiation to set a trap for Robelli.
Under normal circumstances, the body would react after being exposed to the radiation of the magic metal for about ten seconds. However, in order to make the radiation exposure to Robbie's body more severe, Connor tried many methods in alchemy and spent a lot of effort to finally achieve his goal. He combined Paye magic metal with the radiation-containing magic metal to create a dark red metal. With the increased radiation from the magic metal, the time it took for Robbie's body to react was extended from about ten seconds to one minute!
In Connor's estimation, even a minute of exposure to maggot radiation would be a devastating blow to a veteran first-level wizard like Robbie. After being exposed to maggot radiation, Robbie would hardly be able to fight him anymore.
Robbie's condition was slightly better than Connor had anticipated, but not by much. Seeing Robbie's wretched state, Connor felt that all the risks and effort he had taken were worthwhile; Robbie was about to die at his hands.
Sitting on the ground with his eyes closed, Robbie, whose red pustules were beginning to burst, sensed Connor standing a hundred meters away, showing no intention of attacking. Connor was merely glancing at him from time to time, and Robbie felt immense grief and indignation.
Magic gold radiation, a bizarre method that makes wizards tremble with fear, is something that, even if one survives, will leave them severely injured. However, Robbie accidentally fell for Connor's dirty trick and was exposed to this magic gold radiation.
However, if Connor doesn't appear, Robbie's strength, although he will still be tormented by the magic metal radiation and it will take him at least several decades to recover, will still greatly reduce the chances of his life being in danger if he concentrates all his magic power and does his best to resist the magic metal radiation. His life safety will still be well guaranteed.
Unfortunately, the problem now is that Connor Ferguson's presence prevents Robbie from concentrating all his magical power to resist the magic radiation. If he does so, he is essentially leaving himself vulnerable to Connor Ferguson and handing his life over to him. As a psychic wizard, Connor Ferguson can easily control or kill him without any effort.
Connor's choice to stand a hundred meters away from him is a cunning and sly one. At this distance, given Robbie's current physical condition, even if he wanted to endure the pain of the demonic radiation and fight to the death, he wouldn't be able to attack him. Similarly, at this distance of a hundred meters, if Robbie dared to concentrate his magic power and resist the demonic radiation with all his might, then Connor Ferguson could kill him in three seconds!
In short, for Connor, 100 meters is a distance where he can attack or defend, but for Robbie, it is the distance between him and hell!
"Connor Ferguson, can you please let me off the hook?"
After much deliberation, Robbie, still unable to devise a good plan to change his current doomed situation, hesitated, but ultimately chose to beg for mercy, pleading with Connor Ferguson, who stood a hundred meters away:
