Wizard Earl

Chapter 810 Connor's Method

Stepping out of the basement and back onto the ground, Prince Boateng saw Habib lying unconscious on the floor with three other burly men. Beside them lay a pile of scattered magic stones and the small leather pouch containing magic stones that Prince had just given Habib.

Prince Boateng was not surprised by the situation. When Isabella mentioned the Redneck Tavern, he realized that there was a mole among the four. Although he did not know who the mole was or how many there were, as long as there was suspicion, none of the four could be used. Better to kill the innocent than let the guilty go free!

Unfortunately, Prince Boateng was not good at soul searching. If he made a mistake, he could easily kill or drive people insane. Otherwise, there would be no need for Kulusevski, a soul searching expert, to make a special trip from West Ham to Frosinone.

Prince Boateng waved his hand lightly, and a gust of wind blew, returning the magic stone and small leather bag that had fallen to the ground to his hand. Then, Prince Boateng locked the four unconscious Habib and his companions in the basement, before leaving the Redneck Tavern and quietly departing towards the outskirts of Frosinone.

Although he knew that under the current circumstances, neither the Duke nor the Professor in the Secret Society was likely to harm him, Prince Boateng, having spent so many years in the wizarding world, was still a cautious person despite his somewhat unruly personality.

Unlike when he first arrived in Frosinone, where he only needed to complete the negotiation tasks assigned by his family and could move freely, he now carries with him one hundred pieces of Croatian Fire Coral, which he obtained at a great cost. If anything goes wrong and the one hundred pieces of Croatian Fire Coral are lost, then without a doubt, Prince Boateng will be a sinner of the Boateng family!

This is a responsibility that Prince Boa doesn't want to take on, and he can't afford to take on!

Currently, both of Boateng's family strongholds in Frosinone, namely the Grand Hotel Agudero and the Redneck Tavern, have been discovered by the Secret Society and may even be under surveillance!

For the sake of the safety of these one hundred pieces of Croatian fire coral, Prince Boateng decided to leave. What he needed to do now was to find a place in Frosinone where no one knew him, hide there to ensure the safety of his belongings, and wait for the people sent by Cabio Boateng to hand over the items and complete the mission!

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

In the northeast corner of the Aksa Forest outside Frosinone, a series of muffled sounds, like the beating of drums, came from the forest. A dozen birds and crows scattered frantically in all directions as if being chased by some terrifying monster.

At the very center of the muffled sound, Connor, clad in a black magic robe, was forming hand seals and chanting incantations. A meter in front of him, a black ball of light the size of a basketball was constantly changing shape, and the screech of birds and crows that frightened them was coming from this black ball of light.

As the black orb of light gradually shrank under his spell, and its radiance became more restrained, a faint smile appeared on Connor's face. He knew very well that this meant the energy within the black orb was becoming increasingly pure, and that his chances of successfully mastering this spell in a few minutes would greatly increase!

These past few days, Connor has been thinking about how to quickly improve his strength. He's considered many strategies. First, as a psychic wizard, while materializing his mind could greatly enhance his power, it also carries the greatest risk. As long as the hidden danger of mystical whispers remains unresolved, Connor won't dare to commit to the path of materializing his mind.

Secondly, for an alchemist like Connor, enhancing one's strength through enchanted items is a good option, something Connor has always done. Now that Connor has become a first-level wizard, his greatest weapon, the second-tier top-level enchanted item Castia Staff, while not bad in battles between formal wizards, is clearly no longer the invincible weapon Connor possessed during his wizarding apprentice stage!

Clearly, Connor, now a Level 1 wizard, needs a Level 3 enchanted item to further enhance his power and compensate for his relatively short time as a Level 1 wizard and his lower cultivation level compared to other Level 1 wizards.

A month ago, Connor had already come up with a plan for his Tier 3 enchanted item. The plan was not complicated; it was simply to enhance the Castia Staff he currently possessed and upgrade it to a Tier 3 enchanted item!

When Connor was crafting the Castia Staff, he was only an intermediate wizard apprentice at the time. However, he had a long-term vision and thought that he might become a first-level wizard one day. Therefore, when crafting the Castia Staff, he used an auxiliary chip to make the foundation of the Castia Staff very solid, giving it the potential to be upgraded to a third-level enchanted item.

Connor believed that his plan was the best option for his current situation. Crafting a new Tier 3 enchanted item would require a large amount of precious alchemy materials, and the Castia Staff was already a finished product. According to the model prediction of the auxiliary chip, the Castia Staff only needed 50% of the alchemy materials required to craft a new Tier 3 enchanted item to be upgraded to a Tier 3 enchanted item.

Furthermore, because Connor is very familiar with the Castia Staff, upgrading it to a Tier 3 enchanted item requires no break-in period to familiarize himself with its power; it is completely plug-and-play.

Upgrading the Castia Staff to a Tier 3 enchanted item has many benefits, but that doesn't mean it's without problems. While upgrading saves on alchemy materials, it increases the difficulty of crafting and makes it more complicated. It's like renovating a house; renovating a new house is much easier than renovating a used one because you have to make significant changes to the original structure to upgrade it.

Of course, the reason why Connor still chose to upgrade the Castia Staff, even though he knew that upgrading it would cause major technical problems, was because of the auxiliary chip in his mind. The powerful computing and analysis capabilities of the auxiliary chip would help Connor simplify this big problem.

The plan was a good one, but unfortunately, Connor had only been a Level 1 Wizard for less than six months, and he still faced many difficulties!
