Wizard Earl

Chapter 793 Boateng Family

With no worries about the future, Connor began to break the Pastre Restriction in Danilo's Divine Sea according to his own ideas. It took Connor a full half hour to barely break a small part of the restriction, and his mental power barely entered Danilo's Divine Sea.

"Bang!"

Three minutes later, just as Connor withdrew his mental energy from Danilo's divine sea, the slightly decaying head of Danilo suddenly exploded without warning, turning into a pool of red and white mixture. Although the explosion was limited in power due to the restraint of the three silver needles and did not injure Connor, it shattered the three silver needles inserted into Danilo's head into several pieces.

Although Connor was heartbroken that his three carefully crafted silver needles were destroyed in the explosion, he gradually became excited when he thought about the information he had obtained from Danilo.

Because he only broke a small part of Pastry's seal, Connor's acquisition of Danilo's memories was incomplete, consisting of fragmented pieces. Even so, it was still a great gain for Connor.

First, Connor obtained this part of Danilo's memories. Although it did not record how Danilo joined the Secret Society and became Reyes's subordinate, what the restrictions Reyes placed on him, or what his mission to enter the Ferguson family was, it did record who Danilo's superior was in Frosinone!

Because the secret society places great emphasis on secrecy, superiors and subordinates rarely meet. Therefore, even after Danilo infiltrated the Ferguson family for ten years, he only met his superior twice. Even then, on both occasions, Danilo's superior wore a long robe, and Danilo could only vaguely make out that his superior was a middle-aged white man with an injured eye. Beyond that, Danilo didn't know his superior's name, only that his codename was "Zero."

Although Danilo didn't know who this "Zero" was, when Connor saw the "Zero" in the robe through his memory, he immediately recognized him as Bispin, the first-level wizard who was Reyes's confidant and had an injured eye.

According to Danilo's memory, the last time he saw "Zero," also known as Bispin, was three years ago. A year ago, Bispin told Danilo through their communication channels that he was leaving Frosinone on business and would not be back for a while. He told Danilo to be careful and to keep his position closed if he received any information.

This message further confirmed the information Connor had received: Reyes and his official wizards were on their way to the capital, Bernabéu, to handle an important matter and would not be leaving Bernabéu for some time.

Knowing that Danilo's contact was Bispin, and that Bispin was unable to leave the Bernabéu anytime soon, was definitely important news for Connor. However, the only regret was that the part of Danilo's memory that Connor obtained did not record Danilo and Bispin's contact information, or where the "old place" where the information was placed was.

The second piece of information Connor received from Danilo's divine sea has nothing to do with him or the Ferguson family, but is related to the Royal faction!

Although it was related to the Royal Family, Connor received very little information about the message, only five words: "Boateng Family!"

Although Connor had lived in Loen for many years, he had only been back in Frosinone for a little over a month and hadn't heard much about the Odin Empire. However, because Frosinone was not far from the Odin Empire, only about 500 miles away as the crow flies, Connor had gained some basic knowledge of the Odin Empire through his exposure to it over the past month. The name of the Boateng family of West Ham City had also reached his ears many times!

If the social development of the Kaman Empire was the completion of the First Industrial Revolution and the initial stage of a constitutional monarchy, then the Odin Empire, located in the northern border of the Kaman Empire, was still in the feudal stage. In some remote areas of the Odin Empire, the social system was still the ancient tribal system, without any industrialization, and people relied on traditional hunting and logging for a living.

Due to the backwardness of the social system and the fact that the Odin people were generally not suited for production, the Odin Empire, despite having abundant resources, still lived a relatively poor life. In years with harsh natural conditions, they would invade the Kaman Empire from the south, attempting to plunder and survive the difficult times.

While the Odin Empire was generally like this, there was one exception: West Ham City in the southern part of the Odin Empire. On the Byzantine continent, the three main countries—the Persis Empire, the Fast Empire, and the Kaman Empire—were constantly vying for power and unwilling to yield to each other. However, on the surface, all three countries had signed extradition treaties for fugitives. This meant that if you committed a crime in any of these three countries and were wanted and pursued, you would not be safe no matter which of these three countries you fled to; you would most likely be caught and brought back.

Therefore, these wanted fugitives only have two options to avoid being caught. The first is to sail out to sea and escape to the Hoy New World. However, in the Hoy New World, the three great empires, especially the Kaman Empire which controls the East Hoy Company, have a high level of influence. If you are a petty thief, the three great empires will be too lazy to bother catching you. But if you are a big shot and are remembered by them, even if you escape to the Hoy New World, you may still be caught and brought back.

The second option is the Odin Empire, which has not signed an extradition treaty!

The Odin Empire, due to its poor development, is far weaker than the three great empires in terms of overall national strength. However, because its entire population is soldiers and its people are fierce and warlike, its military strength is in no way inferior to the three great empires. Especially in the border friction with the Kaman Empire, it has always been very tough and uncompromising.

For wealthy merchants who lost the political struggle among the three great empires and were wanted and pursued for various reasons, the Odin Empire, which was not afraid of the threats of the three great empires, was undoubtedly an excellent hiding place.

As for those who could bring tangible benefits to the Odin Empire, the Odin Empire has always outwardly condemned and rejected them with righteous indignation, but in reality, their actions speak louder than words, wishing that as many of them as possible would come.
