Upon hearing Isabella's words, Connor merely wiped the blood from his head without expression, paying no further attention to Isabella. His gaze remained fixed on the gray-robed elder, Adolf. Since entering the wizarding world, including Reyes, he had encountered many formal wizards, but Adolf was the formal wizard who, apart from his mentor Reyes, gave him the strongest sense of pressure. His strength far surpassed that of Robelli, another first-level wizard he had recently fought in the Baresi Forest.

Adolf hadn't gone far into the gray fog. The mental storms came suddenly, and Adolf had no time to chant incantations to dispel Connor's mental attacks. However, Adolf was indeed powerful. He remained calm and composed. With a thought, a layer of hazy gray light appeared on his gray robe, protecting him within it.

Under the protection of the light shield formed by the gray robe, Connor's mental storm did not cause any harm to Adolf. This immediately made Connor, who had already fled more than a hundred meters away, feel very disappointed. From the moment Adolf mentioned "Reyes", Connor understood that since the other party knew Reyes, he was likely also aware of Reyes's trump card, the Soul Shackles.
