Connor's story immediately put Margaret into deep thought. After a few minutes, she looked up at Connor and said, "Connor knows there aren't many people who can do mind control, so you must have some guesses about who's behind this, right?"

Margaret, who knew Connor very well, immediately grasped Connor's thoughts. A knowing smile appeared on Connor's face, and he whispered, "Martina!"

If Emerson and Martina had both died at the Zaka textile mill and the operation to hunt Margaret had failed, only he, Connor Ferguson, would have survived.

After listening to Connor's explanation, Margaret nodded silently without saying anything more. She simply put the simple floor plan into her spatial ring.

"I'm still not sure if Martina is the mastermind. After the incident, I wrote her a secret letter to inquire about my sources, but she hasn't replied yet. However, she might have been suspected by old Victor because of the Celta Cult, and he told me not to contact her anymore. So, I want you to make this decision, Margaret! If you decide that there's no time to lose, go and kill old Victor now. I only need three days to prepare!" Connor said in a deep voice, looking at Margaret. His tone was calm, but his words were full of determination.

Connor's words, though not particularly sentimental, seemed to touch the softest spot in Margaret's heart, causing her beautiful eyes to well up with tears. Margaret didn't seem to want Connor to see her tears, so she turned her back to him and wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes.

Just as Connor hesitated about whether to pull Margaret into his arms to comfort her, Margaret had already composed herself and turned back to look at Connor, saying, "Connor, would you like to hear a story?"

"Of course! I'm willing to listen!" Seeing the slight redness in Margaret's eyes, Connor smiled and nodded in agreement. His intuition and understanding of Margaret told him that what Margaret was about to say was definitely not ordinary, and might reveal something he had always wanted to know—why, what Margaret had experienced in the Heart of Storms, or something else that led to her current deep-seated hatred for old Victor. Before going to the Heart of Storms, Margaret hadn't paid much attention to old Victor. What had caused such a big change in Margaret?
