Chapter 609 Revisiting the Valencia Chamber of Commerce

Seeing that Margaret seemed to really like the telescope, Connor shrugged helplessly, then took the telescope he had crafted back from Margaret. With a thought, he erased the mental imprint he had left on the telescope and handed it back to Margaret.

"Since you like it, I'll give it to you!" Connor said gently, a doting smile on his face.

"I'm so sorry!" Margaret said, though she was sorry, but her actions betrayed her words. She didn't stand on ceremony and simply accepted the binoculars from Connor.

Alchemy items like alchemical telescopes, while not technically difficult to craft, are merely auxiliary items. They offer no benefit to a wizard's training or combat. Therefore, ninety percent of orthodox alchemists have no interest in crafting such items.

The remaining 10% of alchemists, while capable of crafting telescopes, often lacked the necessary dedication, resulting in relatively mediocre telescopes. Connor, however, with the aid of an auxiliary chip, crafting simple alchemical items was not difficult, and he could even hone his alchemical skills. Therefore, Connor was quite willing to craft alchemical items like telescopes—items that, while offering no benefit to cultivation or combat, could be very useful in other situations.

The materials for the alchemical telescope are not precious. Connor currently has more than ten sets of materials in his spatial ring. So if Connor is willing to stay up for a few hours tonight, he can have a brand new alchemical telescope the next day. So under such circumstances, since Margaret likes it, how can Connor not satisfy her?

"There's something wrong with the doorman at the side gate of the Oria noodle factory!" After discussing the telescope issue, Margaret's smile faded, and she steered the conversation back to the purpose of her and Connor's visit.

"Connor, perhaps we could try capturing this gatekeeper, and then you, Connor, use your mind-control technique on him to see what's in his memories!" Margaret suggested to Connor after a moment's thought.

Margaret's suggestion made Connor frown. To avoid upsetting Margaret, Connor carefully chose his words before speaking: "I think we can wait a bit longer. Before I make contact with my source, I think it's best not to alert them..."

Seeing that Connor didn't want to do that, Margaret pouted, but didn't say anything more. "Connor, what did you say? The Valencia Chamber of Commerce is related to the Secret Society?" Margaret was very surprised by what Connor revealed. An incredulous look appeared in her beautiful eyes. She didn't expect that her casual remark would lead Connor to tell her such important information.

Seeing Margaret's reaction, Connor's lips curled into a playful smile, and he continued casually, "Remember that Ruiz steel factory? It also belongs to the Valencia Chamber of Commerce!"

Connor's words immediately brought back memories for Margaret. A few seconds later, she suddenly realized and said to Connor, "Oh, I see. "Hmph!" Margaret gave a coquettish snort, seemingly dissatisfied with Connor's explanation. Then, she glared at Connor fiercely and said, "Connor Ferguson, you better tell me honestly, how many other things are you hiding from me?"

Although he knew Margaret was asking about the Secret Society, Connor's mind still subconsciously flashed with Varga's pretty face. His expression immediately froze, and a sense of guilt welled up inside him for having a girlfriend while chatting with other girls.

However, Connor was quite shrewd and had a strong mentality. His guilt vanished within seconds, and his expression quickly returned to normal.
