Chapter 576 The Great Battle (2)

Seeing the black-robed masked man put the "Heart of Seta" back into his spatial ring, Wanda, who still retained some of her rationality, stopped Perrin with a glance, who wanted to rush forward and snatch the "Heart of Seta".

Then, Wanda, with a smile, addressed the masked man in black robes, Connor Ferguson, saying, "Sir, the gem in your hand is a priceless treasure of our Celta Church. If you return it to us, you will gain the most sincere friendship from our Celta Church. Not only that, my companions and I will also give you a satisfactory reward. What do you say?"

"Tsk tsk tsk..."

Faced with Wanda's enticement, he raised an eyebrow behind the mask, chuckled, and then shot backward. Connor, who was retreating towards the Jose factory, saw the approaching dark golden arrows and fireballs and dared not be careless. He immediately took off his black magic robe and held it in front of him. The black magic robe was a top-tier first-order enchanted item. Although defense was not its main function, it should be able to block these attacks. Wanda and Perrin had not yet entered the Jose factory. He would save the Castia Staff, such a powerful weapon, for later and give the two of them a surprise.

"What do we do now?" Palin asked in a low voice, looking at Wanda. In these few operations, he had unknowingly come to regard Wanda as his backbone.

"What should we do? Can we abandon Heart of the Seta?" Wanda asked Palin with a hint of self-deprecation.

Perrin slowly shook his head, abandoning his other plans. His gaze hardened. If the masked man in the black robe hadn't brought out the Heart of Seta, he and Wanda would have definitely run away in this situation. But now, the Heart of Seta they had been searching for was so close, it would be too much of a waste to give up. So even though they knew the abandoned factory ahead was a trap, they had to go and try. After all, if they missed this chance, there might not be another one!

"I never expected you to pull something like this?" Margaret's eyes were full of surprise as she looked at Connor who had returned.

"A last resort!" Connor shrugged helplessly. Wanda and Perrin were two advanced wizard apprentices, so they couldn't be that weak. Even if he and Margaret joined forces, it would only be a two-on-two advantage, which wasn't significant. Without the advantage of the Jose factory trap, killing both of them would be quite difficult.

Although Palin and Wanda have now seen through the trap at Jose's factory, causing Connor and Margaret's sneak attack plan to fail, Connor has brought out the "Heart of Seta," which has turned the conspiracy into an open one. With the temptation of the "Heart of Seta," even if Palin and Wanda know full well that there are tigers in the mountains, they will probably have no choice but to head towards the tiger's den!

"Do you think they'll come in?" Margaret whispered to Connor, sensing the two hesitant figures outside the factory with her mental powers.

"I think they'll come in, but they'll definitely be prepared!" Connor calmly whispered back, his mental abilities also observing Palin and Wanda.

Before Connor could finish speaking, Wanda and Palin began communicating telepathically outside the Jose factory. After a minute, the two seemed to have made their final decision and walked side by side toward the Jose factory.

Seeing the two approaching, Connor secretly breathed a sigh of relief. To be honest, even if he revealed the Heart of Seta, he couldn't guarantee that Perrin and Wanda would take the bait. If they didn't take the bait and tried to run away, Connor would have no choice but to leave the Jose factory with Margaret and hunt down Wanda and Perrin. In short, he was determined not to let these two leave easily today.

"As soon as they come in, launch a full-scale attack. Don't give them a chance. These two are probably trying to pull some tricks on us!" Connor whispered to Margaret.

"I understand!" Margaret nodded.

Palin walked in front, followed by Wanda, the two of them cautiously entering the factory. As soon as they entered, before they had even taken a few steps, Margaret, who had just received Connor's instructions, made her move.
