Chapter 499 Martina's Intentions

Smiling, Connor walked up to Varga, embraced her, and without saying a word, simply pressed his lips to Varga's cherry-like mouth.

After an indescribable ordeal, in the bedroom of Ferguson's apartment at 16 Land Street, Connor lay on the bed, while Varga, her face flushed, nestled happily against Connor's firm chest like a docile golden kitten.

While stroking Varga's smooth back, Connor narrowed his eyes, carefully considered his words, and gently asked Varga, "Varga, are you very familiar with Martina?"

"Martina? I'm not very familiar with her; I've only met her once. Oh, right! After I met you last time, she came to the hospital to see me. I initially thought old Victor had sent her, but she said it was her own business. She said a friend of hers, Raphael James, was injured and asked me to see if I could make some medicine to treat him!" Varga thought for a moment and recalled:

"You bastard, I'm still in your arms, and you're thinking about other women!" Varga said through gritted teeth, her voice filled with resentment and grievance, her eyes reddening and misty with tears.

Seeing that the lovely girl in his arms had misunderstood again, Connorton felt extremely frustrated and quickly explained to Varga, "Varga, you've misunderstood! Let me explain!"

"Explain? Explain what? Explain how you and Martina are so in love? I've heard people say Martina always comes to your apartment. I was wondering why she came to the hospital to see me. Is she here to provoke me? I'm going to kill her right now!" Varga was extremely agitated by this question. She stood up from Connor's arms, making as if to put on her clothes and rush out to settle scores with Martina.

Connor pulled Varga into a tight embrace and whispered in her ear, "Martina is connected to the Royalist faction!"

Seemingly finding no logical inconsistencies in Connor's words, and given that Varga wasn't one to argue unreasonably, her anger gradually subsided. She glanced up at Connor and then, as if trying to appease him, snuggled into his arms.
