Chapter 493 Entanglement

Chapter 493 Entanglement

"Margaret, why are you continuing this charade?" Martina said helplessly as she used her combined enchanted items to attack the stubbornly resisting Margaret, seemingly trying to persuade her.

Since Emerson was trapped in the Connor Magic Circle again, Martina, who knew how powerful the Connor Magic Circle was, immediately had a bad feeling. She immediately wanted to get rid of Margaret's entanglement and run away, but Margaret had already seen through her thoughts. Every time Martina tried to run away, Martina, who had just been repelled by the combined enchanted items, would once again use ice blades and storms, or use that extremely sharp blade wheel to entangle Martina. Several times, the result was the same. In addition, the intense energy fluctuations emanating from the Connor Castia Magic Circle made Martina feel both anxious and helpless.

Ignoring Martina's advice, Margaret, still struggling to maintain her composure, revealed a faint smile on her beautiful face veiled in purple. However, this smile, combined with Margaret's pale complexion, appeared tragically beautiful.

Taking a deep breath, Martina realized that she would not be able to retreat calmly if she did not completely defeat Margaret. A cold glint flashed in her eyes, and she completely put aside her concerns, stood still, and temporarily stopped seeking to retreat.

"I'll say it one last time, this operation against you has failed. Margaret, you're safe now. You don't need to bother me, you don't need to do this for Connor..." Martina gazed intently at Margaret standing before her, and said very seriously:

"You don't understand!"

Margaret glanced at the Castilian magic circle as the roar gradually subsided and said to Martina with a light smile:

"Since you wish to return to the embrace of your Storm Goddess, I don't mind granting your wish!" Seeing that her advice had once again been rejected mercilessly by Margaret, Martina no longer concealed her killing intent. With a wave of her jade hand adorned with a purple jade bracelet, several thick bolts of lightning flashed with terrifying light and attacked Martina.

The lightning struck so fast that Margaret had no time to dodge. Her heart sank, but she could only manipulate the light shield released by her Mallorca Ring to resist the lightning's attack.

"Bang!"

The lightning struck the light shield with a muffled thud, followed by a mournful cry from the second-tier defensive enchanted item, the Marioca Ring, on Margaret's hand. The light shield shattered in response, and the ring itself lost its luster.

Although the defenses of the Mallorca Ring were broken, the incoming lightning was also weakened by more than half. Margaret destroyed the remaining lightning with little effort. However, Margaret's face under her veil was very solemn. Now, without the help of the Mallorca Ring, she could only rely on herself to defend against Martina's powerful combination of enchanted items.

Without giving Margaret much time to catch her breath, Martina activated her two injured jade bracelets with all her might. Frost rose and condensed around Margaret. Sensing Martina's actions, Margaret's heart sank. She knew that this disciple of the secret society was trying to restrict her movement in order to launch a powerful attack on her.

Although she understood Martina's purpose, Margaret was already greatly exhausted from the repeated battles and could no longer stop Martina's actions. Seeing that she had confined Margaret to a small area, a triumphant smile finally appeared on Martina's face. She raised her jade hand and summoned the terrifying lightning that had just destroyed Margaret's magical defensive artifacts.

Margaret's beautiful eyes, hidden beneath her veil, were fixed on the terrifying lightning. She sighed inwardly, knowing she would likely have no choice but to use blood magic. Without it, she was in no condition to withstand the lightning that had destroyed the Mallorca Ring. Just as the triumphant Martina was manipulating the lightning to strike, and Margaret was preparing to use blood magic to resist, the Castilian magic circle beside them hummed. Then, the circle vanished rapidly, and Connor's figure appeared within it.

Seeing the lightning hurtling towards Margaret, Connor narrowed his eyes and without hesitation, black mist condensed in his hands, and two abyss chains flew out quickly, colliding with the lightning.

The terrifying lightning and the abyssal chains collided, immediately causing a deafening roar and a huge shockwave that spread in all directions. Before that, Connor took the initiative, flashing in front of Margaret, who was restricted in her movement. He then slammed his Castiel Staff down, activating the Castiel Defensive Barrier that protected both Connor and Margaret inside.

"Margaret, are you alright?" With the barrier appearing, Connor was no longer worried about the scattered shockwaves. He turned around and looked at Margaret behind him, whose face was pale and whose expression was listless. He subconsciously frowned and asked with concern:

Sensing Connor's nervousness, Margaret felt a surge of sweetness. She showed Connor her badly damaged Mallorca ring, pouting slightly and saying with a hint of resentment, "You have to pay me back for this broken thing!"

"Okay! No problem! I'll make you a new one!" Connor was completely relieved to find that Margaret was alright. In a great mood, Connor readily agreed to Margaret's request.

After saying that, Connor seemed to realize something and turned around with a half-smile. In Connor's view, Martina appeared to be cautiously trying to slip away.

Seeing that Connor had discovered her actions, Martina felt terrible. Despite her bad mood, Martina reacted quickly. She held nothing back and rushed out of the factory at top speed, trying to shake off Connor.

A cold smile appeared on Connor's lips. With a flick of his wrist, the silver pendant appeared in his hand. Then, Connor's mental energy quickly locked onto Martina and launched a mental attack. Margaret, who was desperately running away, felt as if she had been hit hard on the head with a stick. Her head was throbbing, and bright red blood was seeping from her nostrils, eyes, and ears. She looked extremely miserable.

The intense pain immediately slowed Martina's escape. Connor, with a cold smile, calmly moved closer and once again cast the Castia Magic Cage, trapping Martina inside.
