Chapter 459 The Mysterious "Target"

After receiving Uncle Gigi's telepathic message, Rabiot nodded and followed Uncle Gigi out of the waiting room.

With a wry smile, Connor touched his nose, pulled out his train ticket from Tunguska to Rune for ten minutes from his pocket, and shook his head helplessly.

Fifteen minutes later, Connor, sitting on the train, looked around his carriage and was relieved to find that it wasn't such a coincidence. There was no sign of the old man and the young girl in his carriage; it seemed they had been assigned to another carriage.

While Connor was still unaware of what was happening, hundreds of miles away in the East District of Rune, in a conference room of the New Storm Cathedral, the high-ranking members of the Rune Storm Church were having a meeting.

"Ms. Lena, can your intelligence department confirm that the target has entered the city of Luen?" Bishop Edel, sitting in the main seat, asked Ms. Lena, who was sitting in the first seat to his right, with great seriousness. When he said the word "target," Edel raised his voice slightly.

"Yes, Your Excellency, the intelligence department is certain that the target has entered Rune. The Eye of the Storm has captured some footage for your perusal!" The elegantly dressed and intellectually sophisticated Ms. Lena, upon hearing Edel's question, immediately took out a pre-prepared crystal ball the size of a pebble from her spatial ring and handed it to Edel.

Taking the crystal ball from Lena's hand, Edel immediately immersed himself in it with his mental energy to examine it. After a minute, Edel withdrew his mental energy from the crystal ball, nodded, and placed it into his spatial ring. Then, he turned to Langley, who was sitting upright to his left, and said:

"Commander Langley, the target has entered Rune. After the meeting, discuss with Ms. Lena and then begin monitoring the target. Do not move against the target for now. Wait for my order before you act! Oh, and there's something else. It seems the military has also taken notice of the target. They've sent two intermediate wizard apprentices who are currently heading towards Rune from Tunguska. Keep these two under surveillance and prevent them from interfering with our operations. Try to avoid conflict with them, but if they act recklessly, as long as you don't kill them, that's fine. Do you understand?" After saying this, Edel cast an inquiring glance at Langley.
