Chapter 444 Connor's Concerns

After speaking, Connor turned his gaze to Varga. The solution to this problem was one of the reasons Connor came to see Varga today. The information Varga shared about the Secret Society had already greatly surprised Connor, but he still hoped that Varga could give him a similarly surprising answer to this problem.

A faint smile appeared on his lips, and Connor nodded confidently, saying, "I know that, but since I have this intention, there's naturally room for it to work out!"

Hearing Connor's words, Varga seemed hesitant to speak, but before she could open her mouth, Connor pulled her into his arms and kissed her lips for a full minute before releasing her. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, then placed a finger on her lips and whispered, "I'm sorry, Varga, that's all I can say to you!"

"I understand!" Varga nodded, seemingly understanding Connor's predicament. Then, with some doubt, she said, "Since you intend to use the Church to kill old Victor, Connor, why are you afraid of your mentor Reyes coming out? The Church searched him so strictly after the last turmoil. If he knows it was the Church who did it, he might not dare to step forward!"

"You just said that there are members of the Secret Society in the upper echelons of the Church of Rune Storm, and Varga, you mentioned earlier that Old Victor, besides Martina, has another assistant in Rune. I feel uneasy if we don't dig this person out. If there were other feasible methods, I don't plan to use my plan. What if Reyes's pawn in the upper echelons of the Church of Rune Storm discovers something..."

Connor sighed and said that using the Storm Church as a tool to kill old Victor was the best method he could think of. Picking up a pure silver spoon, Connor very gentlemanly took a bite of his hawthorn ice cream. He savored the rich, creamy ice cream and the sweet and sour hawthorn flavors blending and bursting in his mouth. Connor nodded in satisfaction; it was the familiar taste he knew.

Just as Connor finished off the hawthorn ice cream appetizer and his stomach was fully open, ready for the delicious food to come, the main course Connor had ordered, the "Thomas Seafood Platter," was placed in front of him.

Rune is a typical port city with a wide variety of fresh seafood of excellent quality. With such good ingredients, Rune's seafood cooking level undoubtedly represents the best in the entire Kaman Empire. The Tottenham Hotel, where Connor is currently staying, is one of the top seafood restaurants in Rune. The Thomas Seafood Platter that Connor ordered is a signature dish created by Thomas, the head chef of the Tottenham Hotel.

The name Thomas, of course, refers to Chef Thomas, who created this dish. The reason it is called a seafood platter is because the ingredients of Thomas's Seafood Platter are not fixed!
